Before her heart stops beating
Before it's too late
She has things to say
Things that just can't wait
This pain she's lived with
Has made her push people away
She thought she wasn't worth it
So they weren't allowed to stay
But before her heart stops beating
Before it's too late
She has things she must say
Things that can no longer wait
To her parents,
She's sorry she couldn't hold on
As she lays there while
Her lasts breaths are being drawn
To her family,
Everyone who showed her love
She's sorry she couldn't stay
She had too many things she couldn't get rid of
To her friends,
She's sorry, too
It wasn't their fault
They did everything they could do
To the guy she left
Waiting for an answer to his question, "Why?"
She's sorry, but she knew
It would be a hard goodbye
To anyone else
She may've left out
She promises to remember you
When she gets to the end of her route
But before her heart stopped beating
She spoke the words that could no longer wait
Even though her words would reach us
Too late
Laying her back on the wall of her prison
Why was it different
It hurt more
Shocked more
Chest heavy
Grief affecting her
This terrible ache consuming every pore
Harder to swallow
It was him she's sure
She loons at me
I know the look
She's hiding behind the sofa
Saying he's been back banging on the door
I know it was the tumble dryer upstairs
Her eyes are bloodshot
A beautiful bright blue bloodshot
Wide as fish eyes
She's been pacing all night holding a knife
She's holding an umbrella
I took the knives last time she cut her wrists
She's in torn clothes as she tears at her flesh
I feel my flesh tear
That's her last nice dress
No longer nice but torn and red
I give her trousers and a belt
My own only just brought
They drown her
At least she's covered
She says he's been calling her all night on the phone
I took the phone when she smashed it on the wall
I try to think of everything
In the bathroom there's hair in the chipped shabby sink
She's been pulling it out by the roots
I feel my scalp it's sore, alien
I feel everything
I removed the scissors when she shredded her scalp cutting her hair off
Saying this is why he had her
Her long golden hair
My hair
Lithium pills
In the cabinet, too many
Too many pills
She should of taken these
She calms
I calm
Promising to take her pills, begging don't send me back to hell
But at the secure unit she's safe
I'm safe
Says she'll have a bath and
be better tomorrow
She's settled, I'm settled
So I leave
I'll come back in the morning
I sleep soundly
First night in months
The morning light gives me slight hope
I can't remember this feeling much
I hear a crash
I run
I'm taking too long
Kicking the door in
I thank God for kickboxing
She's swinging from the oak beam in the ceiling
My belt around her neck
Juddering
I look for a knife
I look for scissors
To cut her down
Cut me down
I look for a phone to call an ambulance
I feel my body juddering
My heart stop beating
The belt
The new belt
I hadn't thought about the belt
IT’S JUST BECAUSE YOU STOPPED
Thoughts are your existence, your happiness, and your sorrows
They were your past; your now, and your every tomorrow
You have manifested with thought, your life so far
You have thought your way to who you are
Now ask yourself what you want from here
See your vision crystal clear
Using your imagination; it’s up to you, your life’s creation
Understanding the law of attraction
Is being able to turn your thoughts into action
Not only that, I’m not yet through
You have to believe your thoughts come true
Think and Act to make it real, you’ll know it’s working by the way you feel
Every single waking hour, act the part, you have the power
You will only make it to the top, to love thinking in this way and never stop
Remember every thought you take, is your script, your life, make no mistake
It’s challenging, exciting, yet hard to do
How much passion do you have in you?
To make your wishes and dreams come true
For who ever acts upon this theory, make it to the top
For all who try and don’t succeed
It’s just because you stopped!
Bells worn on ankles by the tribe's fireside
Joyful dancing began when smoke signals rose high
A son was born to the chief and his bride
Ring out wild bells to the wild sky
The young warrior’s time had soon come
His first battle was won when spring was nigh
The tribe had a victory dance beneath setting sun
Ring out wild bells to the wild sky
The Native American village was invaded by whites
And the chief’s soul to heaven did fly
His son donned the headdress as his father received last rites
Ring out wild bells to the wild sky
The proud tribe was confined to a reservation
And the young chief died trying to defy
This was the last dance of a tribal nation
Ring out wild bells to the wild sky

Searching your voice amid dissonant vibes
I followed your shadow into shiny meadows
Till mild breeze conspired with gusty winds
Turning sunshine into gushing rain showers.
Lost in the rainstorm was my clueless heart
Oblivious of directions to romantic path
Aimlessly zigzagging deserted barren land
When bountiful fields were always at hand.
Glimpsing sunshine that's no longer mine
Peeking from vestiges of rain drifting by
Painting lonely sky with panoramic scene
I reminisce how lovely life might've been.
Had I protected our nest from nasty winds
Hearing silence when music stopped playing,
Birds of our morning would still be singing
Praises of sunrise glistening misty prairies.
Showers left gifting spectrum of your sun
Uplifting my vision to sanguine horizon.
Hearing your beat I intimate your arrival
Taking my cue from our blooming garden.

I heard a little rumor from
a stranger on the road today;
he wore a heavy veil of dusk
to keep the winter's song at bay.
His face was well concealed; although,
his shriveled hands had drawn my sight;
it seemed like they were withering
and, like the moon, a pallid white.
"A little further down this road,
there lies a curse'd patch of grass
obscured by trees to hide its shame;
for that, I know I am to blame.
The flow of time had left that place,
yet still the living wandered in,
until they saw that wicked plant
whose very growth was deemed a sin."
The frigid notes were ominous,
like most of what the old man said,
and quickly did his coal-coat flee
to leave but silence in his stead.
A trav'ler's prank is what I thought,
but further down the road I saw
an isolated trust of trees
with polished trunks and lively leaves.
Surveying past the tow'ring brown,
I stood in awe at Gaia's gate;
if anything, I had to know
how nature could intimidate.
The grass was like an emerald floor,
a regal rug for royalty,
and aromatic jewels stood proud
amongst the scattered shrubbery.
But then, I sensed a mournful soul
and heard a fright'ning tearful call;
at center grew a single rose,
left weeping within wooden walls.
Its petals were like chimney soot,
but had the most enchanting smell;
its stem and leaves were silver clad,
a gorgeous blossom spawned from hell.
Despite the omens I had heard,
there was a certain beauty here.
If such a flower bred disgust,
I'd shelter it, neglecting fear.
There was no trace of bitter cold,
upon return from curse'd land.
I left that world with fragrant sin
clutched tightly in my mortal hand.
My heart gave forth compassion,
when I stopped that day to pick death's rose.
Mommy stopped hugging
And replaced it with hitting
Mommy stopped loving
And replaced it with drinking
Mommy stopped cooking
And replaced it with sex
Mommy stopped being mommy
And I did instead
Time stopped for Fear
she held her breath and then
stepped aside politely and
tiptoed 'round the bend
And 'though she kept on going
she slowed down to a crawl
until it seemed she hadn't
kept going on at all
Thus Fear felt respected-
so powerful and large
that he practically decided
that he would be in charge
Reason was evicted
and Logic left in tears
in the chaos that ensued
from his cruel taunts and jeers
He bullied all about him
'til he went too far and caused
the very things they dreaded
when Time herself had paused
Then recklessly they ran ahead-
Time quickly joined the race
for Fear was left defeated when
they met him face to face!
I feel it jump
my heart goes thump;
see stars whirl 'round
'neath sky, the ground.
This dizzy spell
feels just like hell!
Unsettled gut...
must keep mouth shut!
Now come the tears
from worry, fears
I will pass out
without a doubt!
Is this the end?
Will I ascend
into white light
beyond my sight?
Oh God, please come
and lift me from
this scary state...
I cannot wait!
My heart beats fast,
my breath won't last!
My forehead throbs...
I shake with sobs!
And then it stopped!!!
At once I hopped
from coaster ride
to race inside!
Without haste, zoom
to the bathroom!
Hug toilet bowl...
my pride console.

Unwanted visitor knocks at the door
Unwilling my feet that pace the floor
Wanting but not finding the patience of the brave
Peeking around surroundings for what would save
A ghost is still living in a haunted house
The heart slowly answers the would be shout
My after life still fears the nearing calls
Afraid of the souls quite possible fall
Why should I fear my memory ask?
When life and living have completed task
Where shall I wonder after the fall?
Why am I worried when I answered the call
Why wonder the fears that creep
When the lose of this body a new soul seeks
Why wait any longer in this defiled self
When newness awaits it’s promised health
Worry not, says the preceding crowd
Seek not worries that are very loud
Accept the calling coming from the clouds
The narrow path that souls have paved
Parents and grands where temples stayed
Tempt not the life that was laid
Who was the first before you raised
So maybe you wont see the End of Days
Suffer just a little and let God be praised
For Steve with Love
your feel
still comes
to me
when I
recall
our love
filled years
our shared
passion
goes on
inside
my heart
though gone
are tears
decades
went by
while I
cried ‘why
did you
so choose
to die’
I know
in time
we will
unite
where love
feels no
good-bye
Sex Trafficking, It Must Be Stopped!
There are some girls who are brutally betrayed,
Ripped apart from their families who care,
Stolen at knife point, maliciously swayed,
Stolen at night when no one is aware.
Some are promised a life full of laughter,
Jobs in a new world and careers of fame,
Only to find nightmares for long after,
Bondage, torture and such horrible shame.
Some run away from parents in anger,
Thinking they know best for their future path,
Soon to be ensnared, put in great danger,
Sold, beaten, forced to endure cruel wrath.
How can we rescue these priceless pearls?
What can we do for these precious girls?
-written by Kathi Preston
We live in a world full of anger, hate, mistrust, fear and hypocrisy, but it wasn’t meant that way. Once upon a time, thousands of years ago God created a green, pretty and healthy planet to live in where all the animals could work together and live in peace, but suddenly, all started to change. There was a kind and good-intentioned lion, the king of the world, that always tried to do the best for his planet, taking care of all the animals on earth and maintaining peace all along the different species, but there was also a hyena, his best friend, who was so jealous of the king that he stabbed him on the back. The lion always trusted on his best friend, he told him everything he knew and all his thoughts. He thought he would be there for him whenever he needed him and always sought for his good, but the king started to notice his odd mood and felt like he was loosing his best buddy, he tried to talk to the hyena but he refused. So the king turned to somebody else to ask what was going on with his friend and nobody told him. That was so weird, everybody loved the king, everybody would kiss his ass for free, but not now, everything was different, not just with the king but the mood itself. Everything looked sad, darker, like dead. Then, one afternoon, at the weekly meeting of the Great Council, where everyone was discussing, telling wrongs and rights, the hyena stood and spoke up and turned everybody from the king, he was creating a revolution. With all the king’s ideas, with all the tactics he had, the hyena started to create a new team, he was creating bad people, he created evil. Even though there were still animals in the lion’s side, the evil one was stronger. The king, surprised and devastated by his best friend’s betrayal, he took up arms and started to defend his kingdom, the beautiful world he had. So they all started to fight, there was blood split everywhere, screaming, shouting and violence all around the place, like never before. Nobody stopped until wining or dying, dying was the choice they had to make to live in honor. So that was how the beautiful piece of heaven they had on earth stopped existing.
I was playing with my favourite toy
One night as I lay in bed
Grandpa caught me and called me a naughty boy
and this is what he said .
Darren ,I don't mean to be unkind
if you don't stop. You'll go deaf and blind
then You're gonna stop growing
and you'll lose your mind .
Sorry grandpa , I must have misunderstood
I thought it was you who said I should
You said everything in moderation does us good
That's why I've been pulling my pud .
I confess mistakes have been made
I now wear jam jar bottom glasses
and a real strong hearing aid.
It was an unexpected notion
That came across my mind;
To take you by the hand
Then sway as two entwined.
It was a flood of fond emotion
That compelled my heart to move
And then within a moment,
All distractions were removed.
It was you and me together,
Floating lighter than a dove.
Letting turns and smiles beguile:
For seconds lent to love.
If tomorrow all is taken,
And I don’t get another chance,
I’m glad I seized the moment.
I’m glad I stopped to dance.
