I'm Glad I Stopped To Dance

It was an unexpected notion
That came across my mind;
To take you by the hand
Then sway as two entwined.

It was a flood of fond emotion
That compelled my heart to move
And then within a moment,
All distractions were removed.

It was you and me together,
Floating lighter than a dove.
Letting turns and smiles beguile:
For seconds lent to love.

If tomorrow all is taken,
And I don’t get another chance,
I’m glad I seized the moment.
I’m glad I stopped to dance.

Hi Pangie, I am so thankful for your kind comments. It's like that old saying about how life is not about how many breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away. Blessings in abundance to you!
