I feel it jump my heart goes thump; see stars whirl 'round 'neath sky, the ground. This dizzy spell feels just like hell! Unsettled gut... must keep mouth shut! Now come the tears from worry, fears I will pass out without a doubt! Is this the end? Will I ascend into white light beyond my sight? Oh God, please come and lift me from this scary state... I cannot wait! My heart beats fast, my breath won't last! My forehead throbs... I shake with sobs! And then it stopped!!! At once I hopped from coaster ride to race inside! Without haste, zoom to the bathroom! Hug toilet bowl... my pride console. Sandra M. Haight ~8th Place~ Premiere Contest: And Then It Stopped Sponsor: John Lawless Judged: 07/08/2017

Hi Jo, thanks for "missing me"! Just taking a break from PS for now. Too many things on my plate...not necessarily bad, just time-consuming. I appreciate your checking on me! Hugs, Sandra

I am so afraid of roller coaster rides, just once was all I needed; I was in my early twenties. ~* Lovely the way you waved the stanzas and rhymes...

I love the uniqueness of your presentation Sandra. The last coaster ride I ever took was at Disneyland and my kids tricked me to riding it by calling it a train ride. My body can't handle that kind of stress. Congratulations on this wonderful poem making the short winner's list! : )

Sandra, really like the shape you gave this poem. A least you didn't "woof" it up all over those sitting behind you.....thanks for entering the contest.

LOL! Panic attack? Morning after? Inner ear? I am hanging onto the wall beside my desk lest I fall out of my chair! Enjoyed it so much.
