Best Starbursts Poems

Premium Member A Strange Galaxy

When I gaze into this realm, I see more than the dazzling array
of golden starbursts floating in a cosmic sea of blue-green-gray,
photoreceptors painting post-Impressionistic explosions of colors,
fibers and dilator muscles servicing your ocular aperture.

I see distinctive melanin patterns of a truly original individual -
a retinal scan of exceptional singularity,
each nebula unique, every supernova peculiar,
      no quasar like any other.

I passionately absorb with one brief glance
     an infinity of nuance,
   an eternity of historical archives,
a heaven and earth of emotional journeys.

I am reading your autobiography, the encyclopedia of you.
I remain a student of your sclera,
   a pupil of your pupils,
       a Vincent of your irises,

going half-mad with the dizzying vastness
of the starry night within your eyes.

Take me into the realm of your midnight dreams awakening sleep
Bring us to a higher level far away from misery and despair
Where waves through oceans are kissed by a salted breeze blowing

A place where mind can fly upon strong waves, straight lines on white sheets
Trembling currents grasp one breathless moment holding time
No one will not lead us, even if it blows up to storm force gale

Circle of twilight's halo under magic spells cast breathing fire starbursts
Stars living on self produced energy under horizon's steps forward
A mirror reflection of a faraway kingdom reflecting of the sun

Faced with light internally stored faithful mercy yields
We call life a mystery unforgettable the words of faith, hope and love
Crowning angels you came before me a queen

Defeating the dragons and fighting wolves from preying sacrifice
We find a personal point of common ground held in between world's
Viewing life as the canvas we paint upon our memories

Crybaby

To the fourth grade quiet kid crying on the playground:
                                                         keep crying.
Let the burning blur in your pupils reverberate your vision
envision maculas becoming galaxies of simultaneous starbursts
normalizing irises marbleized in emotional flow

       Drift
in whatever you are feeling at this very moment
                                    Drown
out cacophonies of every synonym for “crybaby”
your classmates can regurgitate

Hold on to your emotion regardless of how hard it’s pulled from your grip
The greatest thing you can be is emotional
because breakdown doesn’t equate broken down
doesn’t equal malfunction error glitch in your system

The greatest thing you can be is broken
metal bends beyond repair; skin is resilient
cut wrists will heal; cut wires won’t regenerate
biology is not biomechanical.

It took until nearly twenty-three for me
to learn having heavy emotions
is just in my biology
and I will never let shame be programmed into me

for being that fourth grade quiet kid
crying on the playground
that crybaby
tracking muds from trailing tears in the dirt

I learned
the greatest thing you can be is yourself
when nobody is watching: yourself
as staring gazes and whispers fill space

asking why you’re sobbing so much
It’s because you’re human.

The greatest thing you can be
is human.

Premium Member Flowering Beauty Grows Amongst Thorns

Rose petals blossoming out from the heart softly silk
starbursts brightly sitting a regal flower kissed

By loving sunshine sweet glowing beauty dances
your delicate curling petals so beautiful

Like a butterfly's wings fluttering eyelids mist
engaged upon a glance sweet fragrance whispered dew

Embalmed by the perfume of such treasure found gift
it is here that an arrow of gold strikes home dear
sweet velvet corolla crumples fragile breathless

O'Bright Star, Thy Bright Gleamings True Hearts See

O'Bright star! will thy gleam this sad heart sate
with splendor of glow, quench our dying thirsts
Thy exquisite beauty, mankind debates
as well, bold shining depths of thy starbursts.

Why gift that grin, that Chesire cat-eye glow.
As riddle we are never meant to know?

O'Bright star! will thy eternal gaze blink
a galactic voice thy wisdom impart
Are thy infinite gleamings - wine to drink,
as a soothing balm to heal broken hearts,
Shall ever thy distant voice our souls hear
or will we destroy earth with hate and fear?

May we in our pitifully sad state.
Reach, touch thy heart's glow, to truly relate?

Premium Member Fourth of July

Fourth of July, time for fireworks and fun,
Our nations birthday, we'll all celebrate.
Uncle Sam is the man of the hour on this date
Reaffirming our values and food by the ton.
Two Hundred and thirty-nine years old today,
Hang out the colors, the red, white blue.

Our Emblem of Glory, the tried and the true
Freedom awaits those who come the right way.

Just as brave and as loyal as our fathers before,
Uniting to honor the flag passing by,
Laughing while watching starbursts in the sky,
Young and old showing love for country once more.

Premium Member Sweet '16

We're the class of sweet '16! We're not tender vittles... we're Skittles! We're shooting Starbursts, reaching for the Milky Way. We aren't always Nerds-- we can be Airheads, too! :) We're on top of the world, even if we get the occasional Snickers! We may have to Crunch down on time once in a while, but you don't have to be the Three Musketeers to have Mounds of fun and Almond Joy! We do get the Snickers sometimes, huh?

A Love Call

Your spirit ignites the sky,
Pausing for a minute to touch this heart.
Dream Wanderer, LifeWalker,
Pull a pearl from your wings....
Manifest as True Beauty.

Vibrate the strands of your hair,
Create the music of the Beyond.
Sing the harmony that catches my breath.
Dream of all my desires,
Spin this turquiose planet.

Your eyes tell me who you are.
The rain of your soul
Will purify this man.
You are the clear spot.
Shimmering in silence.
You are enlightenment in a instant.
You are starbursts and orgasms.

You are the Mystic Emotion.
Bringing the end
to my silent longing.
......Manifest as True Beauty.

Anamorphosis

"anamorphosis"

your eyes
like mundi’s orb
crystal Orion belted
mysterious black opals

Blue globed

opallios light veined,
a Star calls us

Home

some are blind, disinterested;
other windows once jaded
are jewels, like emeralds and
sapphire skies, topaz earthed

Becoming

portals to worlds of others,
wide and open minded

what they see
is not the holy see
anamorphosis
ripples truth

the hands and feet
still bleed

of another soul
in hidden dimension
eventually the grains
are raised, revealed

the metamorph,
radical star seed

out of the woodwork
stone crumbles
and as heads turn
salt is tasted

tears,
pillars burn

drones take confessions
we isolate

da vinci
corpus christi
solemnity on
a June viral Thursday

starbursts by 3
on a Monday

we commence debating
coffin cities and Georgia stones
where we are guided to numbers
on a Sunday

the puzzle
seen eventually

arriving in
The Cloud

we look for answers
all doors closed in a world
we are over rated in our vanity
internally, we are All

I Am

we are called
we learn about true Love
and why we are born
when death whispers around us

in our dawn

Now,

translate
salvator mundi.

Souls stretch
in the end, we all
reach for what's seen
in the Light

of an orb

Once We Were Ii

Cherished lovers ...
only in a magical mesmerizing moment
coloring passion remembered.
Passion ... someone's perfume perhaps or,
a desire for chocolate fudged to ebony.
Sweethearts embrace
held in pre-alzheimer snapses ... cuddling.
Such a pity, or perhaps ...
a blessing? Why swoon or sway in the silence?
Just rest in a sweetness
of simmered leftovers
embracing this soul that knows
mountaintop peaks,
starbursts of ectasy
forever and always.

Walking in Stardust

Hot August nights – the heat stands still
Sandy beaches wait - tide pools fill
 For starfish. -

Watch the rose fire flame in midnight -
Time carries darkness to the light
  In starbursts.

Looking up into darkened skies –
Wishing stars – constellations rise –
 Bright starlight.

Rippled sands meet a sly rogue wave -
Steals kisses from the shore – the knave
 Stargazes.

Summer phosphorus floats on tides
Sparkling footprint on sand abides -
 Like stardust.

Firefly

"As twilight falls across the glen

Pinpoints of light rise again

Flashing beacons in the night

More begin to rise a beautiful sight

A symphony of light commences they start to dance

Lifted by silken wings and winds of chance

An ocean of yellow stars twinkling for all to see

Drifting free in perfect harmony

Children's laughter now fills the night

Dashing here and there catching all in sight

Decanters filled with living lights

Lightening in a jar candles of delight

Finally the spectacle is over and they rise into the night

Release the ones you have children let them continue their flight

They open their containers and out as one they fly

Into the night like starbursts in the sky

The glen is quiet the lights are gone

Don't worry children I say it won't be long

Rise again they will with their lights of song"

In the Wonder

sitting and breathing,
 I am again
 in the wonder

there are fissures
 in my night sky
 I see a skerrick
 of heaven

flaming stones
 happen through
 etching minutes
 on small hours

starbursts course
 onto the Milky Way,
 snow in space and
 angel dust in my eye

pieces of humanity
 drift in the iris
 overawed,
 breathing stops

in the incredible
 astonishment
 of existence
 and the favour
 of life

I respire
 once more
