Standing Alone On This Beach

Standing alone on this beach

Standing alone on this beach
remembering the sun greeting the horizon,
draping an aquamarine skyline
in swirling watercolor ribbons
enticing twilight to make an appearance

and the seashells we collected
while leaving our footprints
beneath a cheerful summer moon
sharing warm kisses as
cool water caressed our toes

where you drew a heart in the sand,
and we stood inside promising
to love each other forever,
then counted every star in the heavens
until the dawn returned

Now a desolate shore scattered with
mother of pearl shards
weeps beneath cold clouded skies,
saturated by a sorrowed surf of
 wistful waves retreating from

the broken heart I’ve drawn in the sand,
one set of footprints within,
no longer counting stars,
not caring if dawn ever returns,
standing alone on this beach . . .

without you

I'M Standing -(Anaphora)

I’m standing in the gap for children everywhere.
                 Wandering this world of sin and doesn’t have a prayer.

I’m standing in the gap for soldiers everywhere.
               Fighting an earthly war and dodging bullets everywhere.

I’m standing in the gap for the families that are lost
                                  So their souls will turn back to God
                              and they will come boldly to the cross.

I’m standing in the gap for my sisters and my brothers.
                       We must stop this war of hatred
                          And return to loving one another.

I’m standing in the gap for all of my fellow poets.
                  That your minds will be strengthened and
                          Your soul will be touched.

I’m standing in the gap for everyone who says pray for me.
                  I will intercede for you friends. No matter what the need.
               I will pray for your protection all through out the day.
             I will pray for your healing and the increasing of your faith.
           I will pray for guidance as you go from place to place.
          I will pray for His love, Mercy and Peace be with you this very day.

I’m standing in the gap for Ezekiel 22:30 says..And I sought for a man
                           Among them that , should make up the hedge, and
          stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it:
                                                       but I found none.
I Am Standing In the Gap….

Standing At Love's Door

Precious is the heart whom sheds a tear, to catch

Its light upon bended knee; gently in these hands

A priceless jewel; a sparkling diamond to behold....

Rejoicing anew while pirouetting about; tomorrows

Stage aneath a fingertips touch; warmth this breath

With dreamful wings; and she shall soar; amid vibrant

Colours of a promise; beyound eternals, forevermore

While I was standing near My Autumn tree

The Sun was fading, with all its grandeur and beauty,
Somewhere far, very far away amid the Poplar trees.
I was in a state of enchanted stillness,
Beholding the gold which was showering on me,
With every gush of wind coming from the east.

The earth was wrapped in a lovely darkness,
Slowly the Sun rays slipped away from the hands of the evening, but
It embraced the night in her arms perhaps to console its forlorn heart.

I was glued with the fragrance of Autumn, while the Sun was still fading slowly,
Leaving only a yellow and radish glow in the sky.

The golden leaves of Poplar were still falling on me,
Coming to me while flying from the Poplar tree.
Suddenly the birds said adieu to me, reminding me once again the passing of time,
While I was standing near my Autumn tree.

Standing On the Promise

I'm standing on the promise to be good and honest
nothing is more important than being a servant for
the good of man kind nothing is more important than

to let my light shine everyday I wake every breath I
take I try to seek to keep perfect peace with my fellow man
no matter where I stand I want them to understand that life

is a gift only god can give for that I'm standing on the promises
to up hold to cherish to never let my thoughs parish to always listen
and sit still and let god do his will nothing matters more than this

that's why I am standing on the promises of love peace and happiness
I'm standing on the promises that no one can ever take this
I'm standing on the promises of god knowing that he is inside

every step I take every move I make everyday when I wake I take that stand
knowing that god has my hand.

Standing By the Lakeshore

Standing by the lakeshore as I smell the scent of rain
your face drifts into my mind this evening again
each raindrop whispers into my ears your beautiful name
and reminds me of the words we shared years ago with them.

I remember close eyed you used to listen to their song
and with raindrops my fingers would start a journey long
a journey across your face upto the beautiful chin
those moments of love so precious I'm carrying within.

Scent of rain always open a secret door in my heart
your name is still there and will never depart
I know one day time will close that door again
until another evening comes with this nostalgic rain.

i wait at the river for the cry of the loon

from below
in the muck
reeds
grow tall
there are no lips that will draw music
from these clarinet dwellers

the moon above is glued in place nailed in to its spot
holding on to a piece of the bedtime sky

a hand descends from above
cuts the trapped moon down to a sliver
leaving the twilight mostly blind

the little dipper reminds me of a rocking chair
my favourite star shines just a little dimmer

i'm getting old

time passes
does so
uninvited

quiet is my flow of sand

stressed beyond reason
my emotions are stretched passed their limit

the choice
has always been mine
i have not lived the life i was gifted

wide awake in the after dark
with all the usual players

the wolf with his cool stance
dressed in a zoot suit
snapping his beatnik fingers
wooing the maiden night

the lynx with a fluid stride plays
the ground like bongo drums
negotiates the air like brushes on snares

there is a chasm of nurtured colours
engulfing me in its rich deep tones

having stood here longer then i know
i inhale my time in tiny puffs

i am void of the sanity i once possessed
i happily dismissed that blurry concept a long time ago
i live every moment as fully as my strength allows

all the living at the river and its surrounding land
add their breath to the natural air of the eventide

i breathe in the chill of the nightfall air
and i

i wait at the river for the cry of the loon

Still Standing Strong For Donald Trump

`

Yes, I support the president
I guess that makes me bad
Deplorable, an idiot
And many think I’m mad

When I look back and realize
The freedoms I had lost
I’d vote for him again, again
Because I know the cost

There’s some on here who spin their tales
And many who believe
Not even from the U.S.A
It’s so hard to conceive

Maybe it’s just jealousy
Because we have it good
And if they took the time to look
They’d change, I know they would

At least we don’t pay enemies
(They tried to hide the plan)
Billions in a wooden crate
It's hard to understand

Those cages holding little kids
It makes your smile wilt
Until you all just realize
There one’s Obama built

Yes, we killed a terrorist
We hit him from the sky
Just like B. Obama did
Bin Laden had to die

And now with this impeachment sham
So many loudly cheer
But we will have the final laugh
Election time next year

You see the others scream so loud
With violence and hate
If you do not agree with them
Then you they will negate

So we just keep our voices down
But keep our heads held high
Still standing strong for Donald Trump
While others sit and cry

For it is such a crying shame
This hatred Dems now send
Instead of working hard to make
Our country great again

I worked real hard for what I have
I paid for my own school
Never looked for something free
Does that make me a fool

No one owes me anything
My hand is never out
Except a safer place to live
That’s what it’s all about

So that is it, this piece is done
Just two things left to say
I cast my vote for Donald Trump
And the good old U.S.A.

This will probably reduce my readership on here more than it already is or get me kicked off, but I am entitled to my opinion just like everyone else is.

Standing at The Mountain

There stood the great mountain—
A Sisyphean challenge;
A Job’s journey;
A deferred dream’s destiny;
Indeed, a Draconian feat.

But there also stood the dreaming King;
Tutored prodigy of the King of Kings;
With eyes stayed on the prize,
He smiled at death with God sent eyes.

Yes, the King is dead
But we’re looking ahead!

We are the dream’s vision;
Our children—its reality;
Jacob’s ladder rises before us;
Let’s get to climbing!

“Only the dreamer dies…”

Premium Member Standing Proud

The covered bridge is covered with snow
A thin sheet of ice is on the river below
Swirled patches of gray and white fill the sky
Sun peeks through like the white of an eye
Snow blows off some trees in a cloud
Drifting through the air, as winter stands proud

I Saw You Standing There

That day we met
‘twas summer ‘63
at the local hop
you sidled up to me
You took my hand
  we danced
     my heart
        my soul
          were way up high
almost touched the sky

You walked me
to my bus stop
Bid me a fond farewell
We were to meet
   same day
     same place
      same time
a week from now

That truly was the longest week
Oh how I longed
for you to meet
    to sing
      to dance
        to talk romance

The day arrived
I had survived
I saw you standing there
   I knew
     for sure
never looked for more
We were the perfect pair

That boy in ‘63
He stole my heart
away from me
And sixty one years on
   a piece
     of my heart
       was now gone
When you left
  oh how I cried
      bereft
        the day you died

Looking back over
my life with you
What more could I desire
My darling dear
true love of my life
For when you chose me for your wife
  my husband
     my lover
       there was no other
              I am
       I always will be…
           ~~~~
   Your ever loving wife
Primitive Weapon
Roses are red
violets are blue
Your mouth is rubber
My feelings are glue
Why must you hate
I haven't a clue
Your narcissistic
Negative mind
Affects us too
Every time
Soon you'll find
Yourself alone
But before I go
I've got one more poem
Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But your words really f****** hurt
Standing Together
I been through hell.
Man I even been chain and sell.
But I stand tall because like a black person I will not fail.
I have the heart of a king and a dream that can not be kill.
But this world is fill with misery.
our people is dyeing in this modern day slavery.
Black,white,Latinos,all of my people get up and marsh with me.
Because by any means necessary brother and sister we must break free.
Please listen to me case in God's eyes we are all one family.
But why can't we stop the fighting and unite as one.
Because thats the only way this war will be won
The Bleeding Heart of a Standing Wall
I’m pouring my heart all over your soul,
But nothing can come without a toll,
My emotions are being torn to shreds,
Like a needle tearing through the threads,
But in the end no walls will fall,
In fact they’ll be standing tall,
Only to one with such a fate,
Your lies have arrived a little too late,
For in the end when the walls wont fall,
Your lies will surely get hanged in the hall.
Standing Before God
Let's open our eyes,
see what is real,
offer a hand,
let our hearts feel.
Don't stand by,
and do nothing to help,
these are our people,
a bad hand they were dealt.
Help is ready,
lead them safely in care,
their problems now ours,
our love we must share.
Their future depends,
now on us,
let's all do our part,
or do we have the guts.
Not thinking clearly,
something's blocking their view,
we must find out,
we know this is true.
Standing before God,
explaining our life,
can we tell Him,
we did what was right.
