Standing Proud

The covered bridge is covered with snow A thin sheet of ice is on the river below Swirled patches of gray and white fill the sky Sun peeks through like the white of an eye Snow blows off some trees in a cloud Drifting through the air, as winter stands proud Heidi Sands 12/5/21
