Best Spring Is In The Air Poems
Ivory snowflakes still fall, yet Spring is in the air.
I long to feel the warmth that bestows delight.
May the bliss of sunshine be my only given sight
and rescue me from the ache of Winter’s despair.
For there’s nothing like the heat on my skin so fair,
where we share picnics as loving families reunite.
The scent of tulips and irises encompass my essence
as they ascend with a bloom so full of pulchritude.
They blossom with splendor in great multitude,
fulfilling my very being and genuine quintessence.
I remember running with wild flowers in my adolescence,
bestowing unto me a content and satisfied mood.
Farewell to the chilling to the bone days of yore.
May the clouds fill with the nature of Spring.
I shall hear the baby Robins and Blue Jays sing
and see those magnificent Monarchs soar.
For it's time to ring in the season of warmth that I adore-
and say goodbye to the chill of Winter's sting.

Spring is in the Air Contest
Emile Pinet
spring cleaning,
spring planting,
spring pruning,
bees,
butterflies,
allergies,
campfires,
marshmallows,
smores,
spring break,
school is out soon,
happy tired children,
the smell of flowers,
fresh spring rain,
first mowed grass,
just a few of my favorite things!
A faint perfume of lilac blooms has stirred the sleeping dawn
Bright sunlight weaves a golden loom with threads across the lawn
Crisp white-lipped Delphiniums tossed snowflakes to the hills, while
Daffodils and pink jonquils shake off the morning chill
Each violet of morning has left no stone deferred
Found growing near, a sprout appears from every seed interred!
Greeting me like candle flames, are poppies, gold and red
Hawthorne weaves a golden crown around the arbor's head!
I look long past the windowpane, and spring has bloomed anew,
just in time to see the sky revealed in shades of blue
knitting primroses in surprise! A sight long overdue!
Lost between the flagstones, alyssum, wild and free, has
mushroomed into puffs of white, competing with sweet peas!
New sprouts of cosmos spring alive in flowerbeds we've teased
On winter's lace a pansy face is smiling up at last!
Petunias in their pastel coats, are dressed like royalty
Queen of all in velvet robes, the iris crowns the grass!
Resplendent are the foxgloves…..and the dragons are a Snap!
Sweet Williams are such gentlemen, they make the morning grand
Tiger lilies brave the wind, stalking in the breeze
Under every shady tree, violas are reprieved, while
verdant shades of primrose lace wear green upon their sleeves
Wisteria's hysteria spreads levity with ease!
Xanadu is Statice "quo"……now, what more could it do?
Yarrow blooms tomorrow. I'll have to dry a few
Zinnias mean that spring has sprung, to share fresh air with you!

And the world seems a bit more at ease…

SPRING IS IN THE AIR--
sunshiny springtime
a compassionate ant calls
enjoying the bee
for clean is the air
flowers florets everywhere
crisp and clean the smells
butterflies reaping
while beautiful, wild bird quarks
whilst lit on the rock
clean air everywhere
look at me enjoying spring
spring is in the air
passionate ant crawls;
cut grass smells watermelon
smells so brisk to me
butterflies eating
sucking nectar from flowers
spring is in the air

World Comes Alive Spring Is In The Air
Pleasure in the Spring it springs in the air.
Whiff scent of nature's breath upon my cheeks
while buds unfurl into artistry flare.
Grace upon agents to pass golden streaks.
Oh, give us a taste of pleasure flowers;
you bloom pretty on fruit trees to bear fruit,
when the spent sun throws up its ray showers
some laborer of life from hidden root.
A spring garden spears scarlet red tulips.
Which plants short or small leaf and which is bloom?
Angel's trumpet as you hang off eave lips.
Oh, give colour bouquet of sweet perfume.
The world comes alive, Spring is in the air.
A new dress it wears. In awe life does stare.

Poetry Contest: Spring Is In The Air
Sponsored by: Emile Pinet
Take off your woolen scarf and coat.
Your hood conceals your pretty hair!
Now chance for snow grows more remote!
Breathe easy. Spring is in the air.
The flu; the cold; let them be gone!
Let flowers decorate your lawn.
Pick some for me, their scent to share.
Breathe easy. Spring is in the air.
For those who’ve slipped on ice or snow,
or - stuck on icy roads - moved slow,
the goddess Eostre heard your prayer!
Breathe easy; spring is in the air.
Throw down your shovel. Say goodbye
to snow ploughs too, for from the sky
comes rain, but mostly skies are fair!
Breathe easy! Spring is in the air.

Air smelling lavender lily, in splash of wild flowers.
Bowers of rustic rosebuds, first love fragrance hours.
Cloudless skies exalt blue, fuzzed in luscious green.
Daffodils of yellow beams, bloom with night jasmine.
Ephemeral path of blue birds, sync butterflies scarlet,
Fancy rejoice of dalliance, in pink and purple banquet.
Gardens cloister colored valleys , petals in avalanche
Hyacinth perfumed sunshine, glossy blossoms branch.
In transit, cold greets summer, change of fresh attire,
Juvenile mind that's young, feels like flying higher.
Kisses stolen in gentle flirts, flowing streams of nectar,
Love sings joy and dance, in promise of new laughter.
Magical burst of smiling buds, re-sprout hidden hope,
Notes of mirth in dulcet , birds weave nest to cope.
Orange foliage sets fire, as decors of art unveil.
Primrose bedecked palanquins , sway in royal gale,
Queen of nature rides in beauty, crocuses in thicket.
Resurrected winter mist,..in green life, all succulent.
Sonnets, ballads, songs, gallery of dream for ages
Timeless glory of beauty in painter and poet pages
Up from a pastel sky, nymphs walk down filigree paths
Valentine day's just gone, the season of love to last
Wild cherry blossoms of silk, greet in a pink hello
Xylophone notes chant in a stream of music flow.
Young lovers gyrate... in a romantic love affair
Zephyr wind throws a hug,...Spring is in the air.

Dullness slowly gives way and comes to life
As sunrays gently warm a sleepy earth
Blooming dreams in colors devoid of strife
Annual cycle silently gives birth
Air impregnated with vibrant yearning
Nurturing tender lover's kiss and nudge
A compulsion too strong to quell burning
The miracle of buds begin to budge
Spring's balmy droplets of gentle rainfall
Awake a frenzy of thirsty verdure
Provoking sudden surge and free-for-all
We’re moved by such miraculous allure
Spring is in the air with steely resolve
Evolving sure as earth and sun revolve

Can you smell the sweet fragrance of spring in the air
New beginnings are upon us and together we'll share
Long walks, holding hands with fingers entwined
Seeing buds springing forth, only by nature defined
Nourished favorably by the freshly melted snow
Feeling the spring breeze, setting our faces aglow.
Can you sense the connection that is uniquely ours
More poignant and sweet then a mountain of flowers
Watching the swell of the creek which threatens to overflow
Not unlike our love which continues to magically grow
A cloudburst of showers leaves us soaked and chilled
Outlining body parts that leaves us pleasantly thrilled.
Can you feel the passion that only true love can bestow
Unbelievingly lucky is this belle and her beau
Love making more intense than lightening and thunder
Memories made and what we share no one can put asunder
Love as strong as the mighty oak tree that weathers any storm
So incredibly blessed with a special bond that is beyond the norm.

The holy tender glance
Of purity and by divine
Feel the gentle kiss
A holy sacrifice from the earth
The spirit is refreshed
This beauty fills my soul
Brilliant song from each branch
The queen of my heart
Like a newborn fragrant rose
Beautiful harmony, earth's glory and delight
What a marvelous mystery

A pleasant gasp of warm air appears to give me sweet reprieve
suddenly I feel alive and it is easy to believe
that every flower blooms
just to take away my gloom
tis the season most enchanting with her open hearted weave
she entwines my soul with wonder like a moth of ivory white
resting softly on my shoulder I am feeling oh so light
blessed month of April
you who blessed my silver maple
elevating me to new heights you raise me up like a flying kite

Oh spring!
At last you have begun to throw aside your blanket of snow
Now beside the porch the little crocus have begun to grow…
Your breath is slowly melting the winter ice along the creek
And the warming sun is fading the countenance once so bleak…
Oh spring!
Along the branches come marching a riot of green leaves
Morning sunshine on the pond a magical mosaic weaves
The robin wanders across the lawn, soon he’ll build his nest
An old bear now leaves his den and his long winter’s rest….
Oh Spring!
The promises that winter’s muse has made are coming true
And life on this, our mother earth, is once again brand new…

Sparkle of dawn perks up inert callow greens
Inviting a resurgence of dormant waterfalls
When spring ignites revival of river’s journey
Hidden far behind the soaring mountaintops.
A blue bird lingers on a pink flowery branch
Watching vibrant tulips in a graceful dance
Where fragrant breeze sways budding fields
As golden daybreak proposes a lyrical scene.
Adoring pinkish white cherry blossom trees
People cherish vistas of reflective river basin
Meandering through a garden of red roses
Wearing glitter of pleasantry on their faces.
Yellow blossoms rise from long green stems
Where red blooms comingle cohesive ways
And butterflies roam searching sweet nectar
Celebrating gleefully abundance of flowers.
Sky has resumed wearing aquamarine blue
Dissipating the vestiges of melancholic hues
As spring's passion makes it abundantly clear
A season of fervent love is flirting in the air.
