A loving family that cherishes the universality of you.
An addenda are friends, who accept you as you are.
Seeing you as complete, not a cracked, cookie jar.
God is, to you, One, the Creator of life and Universe..
You do not live in Faux City, overcome by hopeless vanity.
You simply write to communicate the true you, to humanity.
Poem 4
“In My Own Voice’
the spice in your...
life comes from the...
ingredients that you use...
Some folks like their food real spicy;
Others lean towards bland.
Oftentimes the piquancy
Is not what you had planned.
There are those who favor bitter;
Many savor sweet.
Recipes that call for both
Are where the twain shall meet.
Certain people would declare
Their meal a real fiasco
If it didn’t have the sting
Of salsa or Tabasco.
Personalities, as well,
Are fiery or cool.
Foods reflect one’s temperament,
Though logic may not rule.
It’s possible that someone dull
Likes savory cuisine,
Yet someone sultry somehow lacks
That tangy pungent gene.
It’s like the nursery rhyme we learned
Of Jack Sprat and his wife:
Variety makes the world go round
And is the spice of life.

Youthful pleasures long ago
linger in fond memory,
spicier and sweeter than
Mama ever knew.
We made a simple particle,
it soon began to fade,
We gave it spin and mass and charge,
much longer now it stayed.
We gave it flavors strange and charm,
and soon we had quark.
Neutrino here, a photon there,
enough to fill the dark.
As the time ticks away, life will always go on
I have no regrets when something has gone
Little things give pleasure and make me smile
As I wonder through life each mile by mile
Nothing can take away from me the memories inside
My fears are dispelled and bad memories I hide
For me the spice of life is being happy from within
Life is what you make of it so make life begin
Sorrow is so negative and not to be desired
Happiness is hard to find when it is required
Through life there are choices of which way to go
Where these choices lead that I do not know
The spice of life is mainly a little piece of fun
To where I am now from when it first begun
Time is irrelevant in the whole of life’s span
Each and every minute I’ll enjoy while I can
Longingly I search for something day by day
Not letting all the petty things get in my way
My life has been fulfilled and the trouble erased
Through life I am ‘blessed’ I think ‘god be praised’
As I explore the outer space,
And make connections, introspections
Nonplussed, but given to the chase-
The Fate of Fools’ directions!
Too much I’ve asked! And too late, perhaps
When I am taken to the task
How long I wrought, how strong I fought,
To never see the Truth to pass...

Fried okra with a chilli
chicken masala
coriander and tomato
poppadom pickle
hot spiced dal flatbread
Indian
Ale!
Like the background music in movies
Like the artwork on the walls of your home
Condiments spice up your sandwich
~ Conversation is the spice of your life
Variety is indeed
the spice of life,
and when I think of
my immediate and
extended family
of this I don't have
to think twice,
with my three other
siblings and all
of their clan at our
nephews beautiful
outdoor Aug. 27th
Maryland wedding,
my younger sis
unfortunately not
making it because of
her hectic work schedule
meddling,
while me, myself and I
from my side was the
only one to make it,
hanging out with them
once again was nostalgic
and a memory keeper,
with our beautiful Mom
turning 80 in 4 months
she is still a wonderful
dancer and social greeter,
promising us she would
get her arthritic hands
checked out by her family doctor,
and being lonely we
are hoping she'll meet
very soon a nice elderly
gentlemen caller,
who will never replace
our deceased Dad whose
been gone over 2 years
and who was our brick and mortar,
and despite the fact that
were all spread out all over
the eastern USA map
as we go through each
personal strife with the
different spices this life
throws our way,
I hope and pray as we
go through each day,
that the love and good
memories and fondness
for each other will always
in our hearts and minds
remain.
Love's the spice of life
and life's the “meat” of being;
love is like flavor
which adds the tastes and tangs of
joy, sense and meaning to life.
What a life be; if without a tint packed with spices
All spices high and mild; nostrils filled with its aroma
Whether flow with the Ganga colliding the bourn,
Or sang with the chirping of the Sparrow sitting on the roofline,
The hot spicy heat prickle of the Ghost Pepper Chilli cuddling the tongue
The wild breeze nudges the chest while walking on the land of Sohra,
What a life be; if without a tint packed with spices
All spices add a pinch; just like sugar and salt an Indian lore
Add spices to the game and flaws
Add spices to the love and lust
Add spices to death and conquer
Add spices to lives and victories
What a life be; if without a tint packed with spices
Critters born and die; but good and bad is inscribed in their graves
Spice are harvest and contained; but the tale of aroma
Begins from my kitchenette and voyaging across the overseas
Because I like variety,
I’ve got many different boxes of tea upon my shelf.
Sometimes I might mix them up,
adding two different bags of tea to seep inside my glass.
Some flavors I enjoy consist of these: rose hips, jasmine,
hibiscus, cinnamon, apple spice, chamomile, mint blend,
and one called Tension Tamer! Its ingredients are
peppermint, licorice, and hops (to name a few).
“Real” tea contains antioxidants, which means
I ought to drink more of those teas than I do.
Though green tea is the healthiest, I still prefer
unique and naturally sweet herbal teas.
They have minerals and other ingredients to make them healthy too.
I enjoy a variety of them, with names like “blood red orange.”
I add a few of them together, seeping them in boiled water,
then flavoring them with honey. Ahhh, to savor nice warm tea.
Relish every bite of life,
Sprinkled with a little salt.
Spice it with a dash of pepper,
Bake in oven without fault.
Smell the aroma in the air,
Set your table 'neath the sun.
Share the feast with those you love,
Savor the flavor when it's done.
Eat and enjoy life more
Eat and don't forget spice
Spice makes many things nice
Spice is great on vegetables
Vegetables with nutrients
Vegetables you can savor
Savor salads with leafy greens
Savor buttered corn or potatoes
Potatoes stuffed with chili
Potatoes in casseroles
Casseroles are numerous in type
Casseroles are yummy
Yummy are delicious sweets
Yummy are cheeses and meat
Meat that is roasted or fried
Meat such as pepperoni on pizza
Pizza topped with Italian sauce
Pizza loaded with mozzarella
Mozzarella tasting great in lasagna
Mozzarella melted with cheddar
Cheddar in scrumptious macaroni
Cheddar on burgers or in sandwiches
Sandwiches superb as finger foods
Sandwiches great for a party
Party when you can
Party day or night
Night is meant for romance
Night is a time to dance
Dance to your favorite music
Dance with zeal
Zeal for living
Zeal for what you enjoy
Enjoy your pastimes
Enjoy your friends
Friends who support you
Friends in good time or bad
Bad experiences you’ll learn from
Bad helps us appreciate what’s good
Good for me or good for you
Good isn’t the same for all
All should have freedom
All should choose what they love
Love everyone you can
Love the things you do
Do things you desire
Do all you can in life
Life needs to be fun
Life can’t be lived without food
Food . . .
Fun . . .
