Best Sperm Whale Poems
Sperm Whale Dementia.
Here I am an old Sperm whale,
A swimming in the deep,
Sucking on the Crill, inhale,
As fearless I do leap.
And then I come to surface,
And clarity does seep,
Dementia nursing home this place,
Me poor old bones do creak.
Back beneath the water,
A swimming in the deep,
Happy as a tadpole,
More Crill to maybe eat.
Back up to the surface,
Who is that woman here,
She says she is Molly Brown,
A rellie so sincere.
So come visit sweet Molly Brown,
I may be far away,
Or surfaced with a puzzled frown,
A sperm whale here today…

Ballad
Build them wider, taller
let us reach for the sky
when we run out of bird's
we'll clip angels on the fly
90,000 lb. sperm whale
wandering, searching for
his misplaced tail...
but elite global outlets will
never fail....only us commoners
stuck in the dark, our vehicles
needing, only one gear~ Park!

Skinny-dipping with you is a thrill
For a man who is over the hill
But just one squiggly squirm
From a small dangling worm
And a fish will dart in for the kill!
A Sperm Whale with a mouthful of krill
Can swallow more than you ever will
Only octopus arms
Could adore all your charms
But for you, this is only a drill

Stay well hidden from whalers

A Bo'sun in the pub was wheezing
From Wanda Mann's underhand teasing
An organist by trade
And accomplished milkmaid
Her fingers were quite busy squeezing
The Bo'sun recalled a sperm whale
That spouted away in a gale
Wanda knew how whales blow
And performed it just so
The Bo'sun would buy her more ale
The Bo'sun was never a sinner
And saw her a champion winner
He took her for wife
She took up her knife
And swallowed his sausage for dinner
The Bo'sun now lies underground
His widow is fooling around
Like an octopus
She will grab men thus
Explaining she's on the rebound
A widow must have food to eat
A sausage is filled up with meat
Just one dram of rum
And seamen will come
To give Wanda a cream-filled treat
But the Bo'sun's fate still lingers
Like Wanda's octopus fingers
'Tis said on her plate
She'd resuscitate
A galley of real humdingers
Now the Bo'sun's fate took a toll
On many a poor seaman's soul
When out on a date
Remember their fate
Keep your sausage out of the roll!

Be aware of the Cougar, the big mountain Cat
Now I know you like mounting, but your just a Pussy Cat
I sometimes think you’re Horsey, and like a good jump
Perhaps therefore a Mare, with a lovely Ass as a rump
Anyway, rather than Rabbiting on and Ferreting around without any luck
I wish I could Rooster up the courage to ask you for a Shag (f__k)
Anyway I’ll keep on admiring your Boobies for I’m a Horny Toad
Hoping you’ll Goblin Shark my Dik-dik has you empty my Polecat of it’s Sperm Whale all over your Beaver below.
If I’m Puffin out of steam, at least you’ll have your Armadillo handy to finish yourself off.
Seriously, your animal attraction knows no bounds

Light Verse
THE CHOICE
HE WAS asleep
Between space and time
The first light on the world
Floated idly
On him
He was just born.
His folded hands
Glowed a pale pink
To keep the fire of life
He wondered if he was really awake.
Is it the true world?
Is it the true village?
Is it the true nest?
He kept kicking
And cried like a scared owl.
God trod to the next village.
COUNTLESS
Oh said the voice
Let me kiss you
Let me go in the fairy way
Let me love you earth
Overly cautious she crouched
Over a street strewn with splinters
S o confusing for a fairy
She approached a dark alley
Full of vermin and dead
So confusing for her noble nose
We call it miscarriage in our land
She said and picked up intruder’s naked smell
Leftover of yesterday’s predation
She did not move
She was crippled in an unknown fear
The emotion alien to a fairy
I want to love you
But you will kill me
That she said and flew all the way
Across hellhole and slammed into a tree
Still young, bright, full of promises
Though clawed by vampire birds
She moved in sense of rekindling
I’m glad, I’m sure I’m glad,
I am in the fairy way
Because I came down to love
EVENING
Evening slipped out of the cave
Crossed the rock wall
And buried the city in soft kisses
Sun god‘s dripping soup
Gave her child a sunset glow
She went back to her cave
To sleep, to grow
HATES
Hates were slipping through my fingers
Little ones burning like midday sun
When they cooled made garnets for my sisters.
ANCIENT CAT GOD
An ancient cat god
Slammed down to my house
Went out with a sperm-whale
Harpooned by the mouse
A GRUFF FISH
Tara, I liked her so much
As a fish and as a friend
So in the Sunday night supper
She had made a double-end.
She was gruff fish after all
In night-supper it took its toll
Tara, I liked her so much
So I wrote this story on the bark of Birch
I gave a tabby cat one ounce of gold
That’s the way the story was told

Prose Poetry
Incubation was not
complete. The thirst of
thoughts will find a
convoluted shell-
wrapping up the kernel.
Throw a stone on the
sinner. This was on
me. I will accept the
rocks to open up-
a fountain.
There was a silver screen
for the lovers. You will
not regret for the raw
emotions. A sperm whale
in the sea will spew-
a streams of profanities.

Deer Ruby,
Daddy doubtful hardly Dorothy know you ...
it’s the bare bones, Toto truth
Variety gossip on the street
by parrot beaks chirping canary peeps
Said your mother had a one-night-stand revue;
a private audience of one, burlesque interview
Receptionist Rita
wardrobe malfunction rumor denied:
Saying it show was a casting couch,
fertility snafu tell
A mistaken DNA identity test tube fail,
surrogate voices seeking financial bail

I’m paternity suit warning you,
don’t go try to sell
this sperm whale of a tale
to the tabloid press
Or you’ll be SUV standing in the crosshair road
of my ambitious career progress
Don’t do a Big Poppa no no
Deer Ruby
Daughter maybe,
you might become a Jane Doe
Roadkill statistical ... accidental tourist tagged toe
On the way blind date

Coroner foul play fate awaits
To be black ice bait

Father Time
told me to double indemnity clause

Have a nice afterlife!
Daddy questionable

So take a momentary morgue pause,
and for insurance fraud sake —
Think twice about it ... Don’t get cash hash-tagged,

the real money underbelly action
Gender labels don’t matter none

I give a wink-and-nod confession —
I do hope you’re my wiseguy son!

Verse
When a sperm whale dozes it is time to polish the attic. Moving domes is great in a tidal spaw. But terrible wastage of westward water can poison even the smallest of sappier tree. Wow. Blooming bloomified bouncing bookshelves . How quite astonishing really. It is often noisy in a train bin. And sessions are considered to be seasons so always dance lightly over any singing cutlery abandoned on a rising floor. Pins playing pea pie pianos. *** dusk dropped *** delivering design xxxx vaporisation *** z.

Mesmerising every soul, as a milk-white opal
Opening its crooked jaw, showing the void within
Birthed from fire and lust, in the bitter waters
Yet, by its breath, it filters pale light from darkness
Demon from the abyss, now clothed in angelic white
Imprinted with hieroglyphics and astral signs
Concealed by the fathomless waves from every eye
Killing every pearly soul, binding every star
Inspired by the sperm whale from the famous book Moby-Dick (whom the book is named after), and the sea giant from Manichaean cosmology.

What happens when someone falls out of love?
Is there a single, frozen in amber, sanctimonious moment when
you decide you’re too good for whomever - the falling-out moment
- where imperfections are revealed like a magic trick?
“Huh,” you find yourself saying, “Weren’t you cuter, half-an-hour ago?
Or is it a slow, drip, drip, drip Chinese-water-torture-like seepage?
Maybe breakups are written in the stars, you know, Mercury drifts into
retrograde and suddenly there’s empty air where your lover used to be.
I’m not in a breakup, but I like to be prepared - these are just questions.

Pinkie's ova dried up in summer.
Her sackcloths made beach days a bummer,
till she caught a sperm whale—
an Aussie bowler, "Gale"—
who had spun her like a newcomer.
