No matter how long you look to the sky
Rain wouldn't fall if there are no clouds;
So engage the sun, warm up your oceans
And uplift humid air as high as you can--
And keep repeating till misty clouds form.

Stars don't appear till the advent of dark,
So take your sunny day on a joyous ride--
Let it shine in beauty of traversing the arc
Until on horizon meets crimson twilight
Readying lucent stage for a starry night.

Sun won't rise till the dawn makes a call,
So take the nightfall on the hunt for light
Rotating the earth till you hear birdsongs
Making your way through retreating fog
To witness the dawning of golden vistas.

Now you are glad you can make rainfall,
Happy as well you will conquer the stars,
And find your path to your own aurora.

Premium Member Speaking With a Loud Quiet Voice

You speak into your child's life in whispers
With the strength of the four winds
No need for yelling
For your child has expectant ears

Wisdom
A fathered gift
Born out of pained understanding
Mistakes not needed to be repeated
Your love an inoculation to failure
Resilience will permeate a new generation

You smile with furrowed brow
For time passes much to quickly
There is fear there is some lesson you have forgotten
Not what you want for your begotten
Still you see this precious ones progression
He possess strength laughter and compassion
Humored moments and strong funny bones
Will insure this child will never be alone
A tender heart and a will like a stone

One day
You will have to let go
Time progresses it never slows
Deep inside your heart grows because you know
You have given your all
This child will rise up tall
Won't be afraid to fall
He heeds your Father's call
For he has learned at your loving feet
Wisdom has been his bountiful feast
Some day he'll be a father too
He'll bring blessings back to you
For you have been faithful
and a father true

Premium Member Speaking With Shakespeare

I ran into Shakespeare the other day.
Told him I too am writing a play.
He asked about the premise, which was a reeler.
I had no idea he is a big premise-stealer.

I told him the plot, and he took a few notes.
I was excited when I saw him put them into his totes.
What will you do with them? I asked him, truly awed.
He would not tell me, because Shakespeare is flawed.

Just one thing, he asked, what is a hooker?
I thought that was funny, he's quite a humorous cooker!
A harlot, a whore, a rounder, tart, courtesan, I said.
"Oh, a strumpet!" he guessed, and his face turned all red.

So the next time you use the word strumpet remember to thank.
The guy who reintroduced this word to me - I call him Hank.
It's a fun word for sure, and will get some attention.
But don't use it if you are haughty with high needs of pretension.

Premium Member Speaking of Flowers

Flowers speak
the Gladiola is never sad
says words with a smile.

Tulips are the pun
not one but...
sound it out, you'll see.

Daisies reveal secrets
she loves me,
she loves me not.

Buttercups
lay it on thick
compliment everyone.

Carnations rev their engines.
Express themsleves from land to land.

Freesias
my personal favorites
blow a fragrant line.

Sweet Peas,
are still babies
they're still learning.

Patience wait
as long as they need to
before they speak.

Snapdragons
can fly off the handle
but please forgive them

Orchids tend to fib
are they adults Or .....!

Bluebells sing
a soulful tune
and I love the blues.

Paper Whites appropriately
recite their written words.

Roses bloom
the most beautiful
of words.

But the best flowers of all
don't need to say a word.
With love you gift them
a bouquet of their faves
as they gently kiss your lips!

Honestly Speaking

I walk the streets by myself
but find myself laughing
and I don’t feel so alone anymore...

Could be that the breeze tickled
the laughter out of me
but I’ll be honest…
it was your corny joke the other time--
amazing how I just laugh so much when I am with you

I’m doing my laundry
but find myself singing
and I don’t feel like complaining at all...

Could be that bubbles popping
reminded me to burst into song
but I’ll be honest…
it was smelling your perfume--
sure made me delirious enough to sing

I’m cooking dinner
but find myself burning my fingers
and I don’t feel the pain so much...

Could be that the oil
wasn't too hot after all
but I'll be honest...
it was hearing your voice on speaker--
it warmed me all over and made me forget the pain

I walk the streets by myself
but find myself crying
and I just feel so impossibly alone...

Could be that it was
just one of those days
but I'll be honest...
reality finally sunk in--
crashing into me that you were really gone

As If Speaking This Way Would Reach You

Why must I speak, fair one?
For I must only be here
and near you to know your color.
Let me trace only my eyes.
I’m figuring your splendor.

And when the key clicks,
will thee know thine secrets?
I keep them behind my lips
and I swallow them down,
only to gaze for and ever.

I sing these words now
with pen and ink and leaf.
I write and string my song for you.
It is the loudest quiet—
I am the book and you the keeper.

Whilst the atmosphere hums violently,
my irises engraved with a spell,
I am unable to look away from thee;
an aura I cannot escape.
Even now, my mind, a prisoner.

But when I must speak, fair one,
for it is you who must be my undoer.
Figure me, if you must.
Break my gaze, remind my soul,
so that you may know thine color.

A Whole New Meaning

Out of the mouths of babes isn’t like it was before.
What they here is worse, than they speak poor.
Words that a young one should never hear.
Innocence than fear.

So please choose your words as kind as can be.
Please don’t hurt the babes, there as sweet as you can see.
Let them grow, learning there is joy all around.
Sweet words of love is an awesome sound.

They are only little for a short time.
Read them story books of rhyme.
Play games, go for a walk.
Listen to them as they talk.

So young, so innocent and when school starts.
Show them confidence with kind hearts.
Let them know how proud you are.
Using words of kindness can help them go far.

Speaking To Your Statue

Emotions soaring into the skies
As the footsteps echo off the balconies
The crow's accompany my soul's flight
I imagine them to be your eyes
Carefully watching so you may be there
If I should slip and fall into the nothing
Their cries are your words of praise
And so I smile at my distant reverie
Standing next to a stone angel
Surely you are prettier than she
Her eyes are hollowed; yours full of life
You reflect the sun's light with your smile
In my dreams you chase the fear away
How is it that you do so much without knowing?
These things I'd never say to you
For fear your eyes would never rest on me again
And so through these words I express
This love that goes beyond anything
The natural world may procure
In my mind you are my guardian
A statue ever resting in my heart.

Silent Speaking

To speak a name ...
most Beneficient, most Glorious,
the All-Wise or to This
from whence I came:

No words have I to say
for love lies between us, unspoken.

How to speak of hope if
I turn away from the downtrodden,
how to ask for forgiveness
as my hands kill in Your names ...
so many names ...
how to say thank you for all
as I hoard wealth and
how empty are promises
as children starve?

No, I have nothing to say
as I listen to the cooing of a dove
or the cacaphony of a blue jay
and laugh with You.

I Am Somebody -Metaphorically Speaking

I am the sunset's radiant smile
I am rain's melody with songs sublime
I am the energy it takes every day to
                           Play life's game!
I am that sound in pounding heartbeat
                            in rhymic caress.
I am the colors prompted by a rainbow
That awes the eye and touches the soul.
I am the sigh a mother prays
Listening to a sick baby's cry.
I am passion delivered in a kiss
I am starlight, said by some...
                  A song rendering love's melody
I am somebody, uniquely, a butterfly
                             Growing wings.
I was told once, "God had given me Sparkle Magic!"
                       Children know it's true!

Anything You Lose by Speaking Your Truth Isn’t a Loss

Anything you lose by speaking your truth isn’t a loss
It’s an alignment
As individuals, we all have our assignment
Our purpose transcends people and
Our alignment sees the fake from the real

Go after your purpose before it is too late
You belong to your goals even
If a river of darkness heads your way
Stay glued to your direction and remember
“Locate the problem
Find a solution
Strengthen what you have
Do it before it is too late”

Chase your purpose
Raise your expectations
So that you never get bored with your purpose in life!
Strike a chord with destiny and
Let your gift feed humanity even
If you lose people along the way
Stand your ground because
Anything you lose by speaking your truth isn’t a loss
It’s an alignment

Speaking Through the Heart

As I pulled back the curtain it reared its ugly head
And I knew for certain I was about to do what I dread
It came so suddenly but it was watching all day
In binding me I am not free and no longer have my say

So I sit down and began to write unfurling the soul for all
Of sins terrible plight noticing it throughout the fall
Until we hit bottom knowing soon we will be right back
Now feeling so glum it so hard to get back on the right track

It seems the harder I would try the greater would be the fall
Seeming to make my whole life a lie
if you can’t heed God’s Call
So I write this next line and continue on in the deepest thought
For all is not fine for sin has the cost of what it has wrought

And as the last line is completed and I kneel down to pray
I realize sin has been defeated if I’d only follow in His Way
But tonite was a start a new beginning to say of sort
In speaking through your heart satan isn’t able to distort

James 3:14
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth

fool me once shame on
me ~ fool me twice shame on you ~
but more I ignore ...

facts of life ~ well taught
lives well ~ so-so not so well ~
not at all ... jail cell

Spring to life ... summer
lounge ... fall remembered ~ then say
colder than least year

I dream to forget
you ... not at night but by day
~ you haunt my nightmares ...

*heard you of ... four two
three then none ... handstand yoga
taught by an angel

*baby crawl on fours, adult stands on two, elder's cane makes three, Heavenly carry leaves none ~ then mine is a parody pun.
