Best Sinister Poems
Poe laid flowers on her grave
His lost Lenore
One he’d love forevermore
But doomed to see her nevermore
Storm clouds expelled true daylight
Yet near her grave on a dead oak tree
An ebony raven stared and seemed to agree
“Nevermore,” the bird mocked, flying off with ironic glee
Clouds burst, pelting the cemetery with rain
Back to his horse and carriage Poe ran
Was Poe a pawn in this raven’s game plan
An unhealthy racing of his heart began
Arriving home, Poe sought to forget
But there was the red-eyed, sinister bird
Perched on the pallid bust of Pallas, it said just one word
“Nevermore,” was all Poe heard
Stealthily the bird had entered through an open window
“Did God summon you to add to my grief?”
Poe pleaded, “Will I ever find relief?”
“Nevermore,” cried the demon, to Poe’s disbelief
Poe tried to rid his home of the tormenting invader
“Fly away; take your word with you!”
But the evil visitor would not bid adieu
Its single word was malicious; Poe could not misconstrue
When rainfall ended, the raven flew to the windowsill
“Be gone!” Poe screamed, his voice filled with hate
It eyed him once more, leaving Poe in a crazed state
But loving memories of Lenore it could not desecrate

Drink Down The Deepest, Darkest Reasons For Me To Stay...
I sin in shapes while the dozer beats us both down
By one or two, my thumb is fingering my cell phone
After 3 or 4 I've got your voice choking the airwaves
Baby the beat in my heart is much greater than the beating you've given me
So I'll charm on
I'll be the burden to your apple tree
Your appetite is not right
Anymore
The pitchers here are for drowning out equality
The lights are dim so we can all pretend that we are someone else
The songs are loud because the only way to shake you off
Is to beg them for a headache, and I'm...
...waking up (waking up)
With headaches and pieces lost from the night before
BUT WHAT THE HELL ARE FRIENDS FOR!?
Tap me out like a quarter in the slot machines
I've made a mess of your ragged little magazines
Trendy eyes are the spies for the latest scenes
And now my buttons are cut to look like pine trees
(it makes sense to me, it makes cents for me)
So write me off with your shoulder to the jukebox
I've been here once, not twice
And still I've got you figured out
The whore
On the dance floor
Waiting for the biggest score
DARLING!
WE'RE NOT THE IDLE KIND!
WE'RE NOT THE IDLE KIND!
(ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!)
DARLING!
WE'RE NOT THE IDLE KIND!
WE'RE NOT THE IDLE KIND!
(ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!)
DARLING!
WE'RE NOT THE IDLE KIND!
WE'RE NOT THE IDLE KIND!
Sinister Eye
Something sinister this way comes.
Ominous clouds have gathered overhead.
Unkept rhythm of beating drums.
Relentless feeling of unnerving dread.
Fallen leaves wrenched from their slumber.
The sun has fled from the frightening scene.
Flash of light and rolling thunder.
A distant creatures cry sounds like a scream.
Falling rain crashes on the ground!
The violence is like a nightmarish dream!
Roars and howls blot out other sound!
What brought about this dreadful fiend?
The evil eye has now passed by.
The fiend has lessened its projected fear.
But those with wings still dare not fly
The other sounds you can begin to hear.
As quickly as the Devil came,
The calmness returns like it was before.
The clouds depart to halt the rain,
And the sun bares down its warmth once more.
One final blast of frigid wind leaving one last reapers' kiss.
La femme fatale bids dour adieu to fast fading verdant bliss.
She snaps her teeth like silver shears in cold calculating lips.
She slips her burnished bits of bone through Borgia fingertips.
La femme fatale bids dour adieu to fast fading verdant bliss.
Forlorn fields lie lifeless now, sweet skin scored graveyard brown.
She slips her burnished bits of bone through Borgia fingertips.
She will cover with a liquid shroud, trimmed ends in frosty down.
Forlorn fields lie lifeless now, sweet skin scored graveyard brown.
She snaps her teeth like silver shears in cold calculating lips.
She will cover with a liquid shroud, trimmed ends in frosty down.
One final blast of frigid wind leaving one last reapers' kiss.
And while the moon turns
its light off, my vision blurs…
a sylph- like form appears
nearing the edge of my ghastly roam;
its dark contours following me
while smokey breath pulses with chilled air;
till my will to survive takes over
an animalistic gut,
unsure if this sinister hours of terror
can unleash a dreaded fear
to bring me home safely , as I
tremble in the pounding, black rain.

Inspired by Real Life Brother Billy, My Halloween Candy Thief
Every year when it is sweet Halloween time,
my selfish big brother commits the same crime -
he quick gobbles his candy and then steals mine!
I can't tell cause my parents will say I whine
so, this Halloween my mean brother, Bobby,
will feel regret and correct his theft hobby.
Tonight, this sis is a sinister zombie
who will see Bro turn squatty, potty sorry!
I foil wrapped sweets he favs as delicious –
he will soon steal Exlax-styled Hershey kisses.
By the time naughty Bobby grows suspicious
his guts will have already turned most vicious!
Eggs Benedict Arnold?
Crown Roast from a King?
Shepperd's Pie?
For this he's died?
Pie Alamo?
Does Davey Crockett know?
Stewed tomatoes?
Just who got them drunk?
Limberger cheese?
Our aviator hero stunk?
We seem to find ourselves,
Eating some weird stuff,
Don't you think it's time....
To say we've had enough?
It takes your money and robs you of time,
Chimes for attention, and rings with crime.
Your give it the power to mold and control
Unending hours, absorbed by its hold.
An instant response is expected, demanded.
Heeded is good but delayed? Reprimanded!
All in-person prowess becomes diminished.
Face to face talking so rarely gets finished.
A bully’s bat and a hacker’s treasure
Anonymity’s cover and popularity's measure.
The catfish pool where deceivers swim
And ransoms demanded at every whim.
Larceny’s tool for the unsuspecting,
Innocent calls for fund redirecting.
Our sense of purity known implicitly,
Is replaced with images shown explicitly.
It was made for our good, but buyer beware
There are dangers galore lurking there.
Be not deceived, what you hold is quite sinister
That cell phone of yours is a devious minister.
there is a room
in a broken home
where terror thrives
sleeping on knives
the walls of this room
in the broken home
reveal the devil through closed eyes
so at night he sits and crys
outside the room
in the broken home
all love is gone
and the sun rises on a blackened dawn
Chains, hay forks, knives, and a hollow whisper,
become more true and sinister.
Halt in the middle of the moon light,
and a waver image soon is no delight.
Voices run a muck in the head,
so not calming you wish you were dead.
Gushing blood through the eye
not an image that you would rely.
Nails stuck on your neck with such pain
so your paralyze just little life sustain.
Hoodlums terrorizing people running a muck
did not really know they are in luck.
More dangerous beings are out their
to commit such act and with sinister stare.
Laughing with haunting echo's through
is an aspect of fear can imbue.
The wind changes direction to smother
the echoing sound of laughter.
The panicking state that you are in
soon drives a knife within.
Blood rushing out of your vain
a crucial part of your life dropping like rain.
Running without a destination
you will never reach anyone of your relation.
Sliding your body on a wall
keeping your fall in a stall.
Red eyes you can see it at night
is soon devouring you with little bite.
Changing your belief with tonics of relief
and it is to late to turn a new leaf.
Ears start to deceive the animals sound
eating limbs are chewing around.
Slowly your red eyes steadily getting heavy
is starting to take your life with a levy.
Dropping down with no attitude
and your life force slowly loses altitude.
Breathing comes not so easy
smelling flesh seems so beastly.
The change comes a desire
with frightening red eyes of fire.
Comes more lethal than the hoodlums
your heart beating like drums.
Your hand becomes all fury
claws come out and your howl with furry.
Trance your in with no one to blame
a rage thats hundreds of centuries of flame.
Rising from a slumber of long lust
a animal instinct that you can trust.
Tearing things apart with no meaning
is a trait that is so deceiving.
Red eyes at night you see in a window
like a poisonous black widow.
Keeps you in attack mode of insanity
that takes all your vanity.
Ferocious emotions eating away
the soul that you had once betray.
The echoing sounds of loud thunder
breaks away the armor with sunder.
You fall once again to torturous agony
the feeling of one self is so lonely.
Shaking in the corner you are found
with blood soaked skin you drowned.
The night becomes day cruel in some way
your memories go in disarray.
The hunters with torches and sinister look
had parted way their hands shook.
The lighting, it was over-bright
as hushed wings beat through silent skies,
and bloody screams rang through the night.
The lighting, it was over-bright
when whence I came upon the sight,
a pallid corpse with crimson eyes.
The lighting, it was over-bright
as hushed wings beat through silent skies.

From the grave he's torn,
the cow was milked and adored,
from her womb he's born,
her sister is barren and forlorned.
Deep is his mother's sorrow,
long ago before his tomorrows,
forgotten from,
the one called son.
Twisted his roots they grew,
well watered and spewed,
dig, dig, dig,
those dirty shrews.
She ponders in silence,
there is no alliance,
their skillful contrivance,
assisted by her connivance .
I hear what they all say,
you see what they all do,
then one day,
there's no more memories of you.
Tourniquet tightens your grip slips away,
sobriquet veins will stop their play,
wriggling fingers will cease to stay.
Stain the sheets with dreams of dying,
but pain will keep your hopes at bay.
Insanity painted these walls a long time past,
kept the screams inside its cast,
surgeon’s blood from inside a cask,
evil has broke its human fast.
Up the alley away from town,
demonic dreams like a misfit clown,
occult craves a footstep’s sound,
nails leave trails on the ground,
only their screams were ever found.

"A Creepy, Scary Haunted House Poem, Please" Contest
He tries to help her, a stranger on her own
With friendly and warm smiling face he offers his phone
She stands still and worries of his sincerity
He shows more welcome and says, “How ‘bout a ride until the city?”
She gets in the car with smiling face
Getting comfortable after awhile, she even plays with her dress’ lace
The 40 year-old man asks her how old she is
The girl answers, “ Well…old enough to do this.”
“What?”, the wise guy surprised of what comes outside her bag
A silver handgun in her grasp
He can’t believe it, he drives out of track
She grins, that guy just sends himself in a trap
“You pay my generosity with animosity.
What do you want, spare my life the least.”
“Oh, poor baby, now your money isn't my priority.
It just, your pure soul will complete our feast.”
Cursed With These Black Midnights And That Sinister Call
Past midnight, gloomy sky and red flailing moon begged to fall
A dark figure stared upward chanting curses at my home
No sleep tonight for great evil sought my desperate soul
I that had settled here in Castle Rouge, never again to roam,
was cursed with these black mid-nights and that sinister call
Soon that black soul would invade this sanctuary of my weary mind
utterly shatter yet again my long aching heart's brief rest
Waiting for the anguished moans and nail scratching sounds
I sought courage to survive tonight this demonic test
and before dawn dear magnificent sleep my soul thus find
Moaning and chain rattling echoes arrived at my bedroom door
My thoughts turned to her and why she still cursed me so
Had not I gave her my true love and my cherished all
Only to see her in blood-soaked dress out the door go
Yes, my loves had always wept and demanded too much more
In a bright flash through the bedroom door she flew
Willing moonlight shining upon her long , dagger-like nails
I stepped back, again I yielded to regret and abject fear
odors of rotting meat and stingers in her three tails
Pierced my side as scorching hot pain in my mind grew
Nay, never again would I allow her these great strikes back
And smile of victory her new black heart so dearly sought
For in my hand, was the dagger of my stone cold truth
with the ring of relief my blood had previously bought
Stabbing in deep, dagger stopped her in her evil track
With that anguished and screeching cry she flew away
giving rise to the glory of sunrise and newborn hope
Today I recall - that evil beaming from her cold dead eyes
and her death- the night I hung her with a new rope
For darkness in my burning soul had always held its sway
Past midnight, gloomy sky and flailing red moon begged to fall
A dark figure stared upward chanting curses at my home
No sleep tonight for great evil sought my desperate soul
I that had settled here in Castle Rouge, never again to roam,
was cursed with these black midnights and that sinister call

Written with Poe in mind and based upon his presentation of seeing through dark glass and finding light dimly fading.
Fading with just enough glow to stir man's imagination, seeking spirit and need to solve mysteries in life.
