My Dad often said, "children should be seen and not heard!"
So my sister, brother and I would sit before him not saying a word
We stare at him and mimic his each and every action
Trying to stifle our giggles while trying to get a reaction
He yawn and three children would yawn in quick succession
Three sets of raised eyebrows mimicking his facial expression
He sniff, change positions, lick his lips or scratch his arm
Three quiet little monkeys copycatting with unique charm
This would go on for quite some time until Dad could take no more
In a booming voice he say, "get upstairs" and we'd dash to the second floor
We barely make it up the stairs before collapsing in fits of laughter
Elated we elected a response from dad, the triumph we were after
After we exhausted ourselves of giggles and could keep a straight face
Down the stairs we go and once again in front of him we take a place
We could tell Dad was also doing his best not to smile and to snicker
The game would begin anew, until laughter threatened to flicker.
Silence is Golden
In a laboratory in a far away place called
Lahore
Was a mad scientist, who experimented
Offshore
He fiddled and fuddles deep inside his lab
Making clones of his glorious self
Thinking they mighty fine lads
He cloned twenty or thirty or a hundred and more
All chattering and gabbing, their master they adore
Oh yes, he’s the mad scientist from Lahore
He has many accolades for he had many votes
He cloned so many, democracy was a joke
But the governor caught on
And saw through the clouds
Something was evil under the shroud
Banished he was to the prison of deception
Hopefully he will clone no more fake conceptions
Silence is Golden – Duct Tape is Silver
Be quiet….
there is nothing that you can say……that
will not make…
….the situation
……………….worse.

Bright Marguerites,open and ablaze,
Reflected in a sunny haze.
Lilies waxed in a summer light,
A Jasmined fragrance to fill the night.
Perfumed petals,paper-white
Intoxicate,then delight;
Speaking volumes with words un-heard
Silent,flowers upon which all senses merge.
Susannah sits savoring the silence
snuggled sleepily on the settee
enjoying espresso and eating éclairs -
she needed some space and solitude,
twins, the ‘terrible twos’ are so taxing!
Her husband’s taken Hannah and Holly
to a party at Pirate Pete’s play park.

"Silence is golden",a talking slogan,
In the stores of words all go maiden,
A reward in gold for words unspoken,
But no any awards for words spoken,
"Spoken words unable to come back",
Mixing the air like aqua in milk shake,
Words creeping like fearful snakes,
Kissing slowly the tongue that makes,
Poisonous words like poisonous snakes,
Poisonous words like poisonous snakes,
Hurting words in heart not bin,
Scars remain as a sign of sin,
Use of abuse in no peace,it seem,
Tasting leaves like trees of neem,
Using abuse,refusing right,
Hell stays in the users sight,
Silence all what the universal system,
Speaking people all breaking the system,
Silence is golden,not someone's saying,
A dumb's write up now loudly speaking!
Silence is golden,
And to help enforce this fact,
Duct tape is silver!
Meditating subconsciously in quiet solitude
Draining the reservoir of intestinal fortitude
A calm, confident being will forthrightly protrude
They're blasting, and looking for gold
Yeah, some riches that they could hold
No feeling for
Quiet no more

Silence is golden, silence is safe, no judgement, no fears,
Silence is free, silence is here, you cant be turned down, you cant be bestowed,
people cant tell you no, especially when your ideas are turned down, even if you truly have something to say, but they feel their idea is worth more.
Silence is safe, silence is Golden, it speaks many words, yet nobody hears, you don't walk away in tears, you don't hang your head, people judge you because your quiet, they think your shy, they don't take the time to really truly look inside. I wish I could be more vocal, I know It's inside of me, but so many people have beat me up for being outspoken, so it's really not a good token..
Silence, silence, silence, let them guess, let them look inside of me, my head I don't hold up high, for fear of them not believing me, I want them to wait for me to speak, I have built up thoughts, fears, worries from so many years of waiting, stepping on me, walking past me like I'm not even HERE!
My inside thoughts scream to be heard, I look up momentarily to maybe catch their eyes looking at me, then when our eyes meet, its quick to look away, for I know the eyes are the key to our soul, and I know that my soul is empty, so why look inside...
Silence is golden is a phrase from the past
Things have changed, need to rant, rave and blast
To be heard above the din
Much to our chagrin
Civility in the world is going to the dogs very fast
Silence is better for ignorant,
Anytime he or she can be arrogant.
If we are not possessed of perfection or excellence,
It's better we keep our tongue shut and silence.
The tongue can bring miseries upon men and women,
We should learn how to stay calm and quiet and be awaken.
The coconut without a shell is light in weight,
From the beast we can learn how to be silent.
If we react before someone gives answer,
Inappropriate words we can do utter.
Either we adorn our speech brilliantly,
Or we can sit in silence and talk politely.
Everything left unsaid could
Be
Timelessly influential
