Notes About The Poem

Notes: This was based on a few things, that inspired this poem, one was a fertility doctor who was cloning himself, and another was a side note found on a very ancient manuscript, where was typed the following notation. (this is a rough translation)

"Shadowed chameleon

The nameless one whose mask came undone"

Silence Is Golden

Silence is Golden

In a laboratory in a far away place called
Lahore
Was a mad scientist, who experimented
Offshore

He fiddled and fuddles deep inside his lab
Making clones of his glorious self
Thinking they mighty fine lads
He cloned twenty or thirty or a hundred and more
All chattering and gabbing, their master they adore
Oh yes, he’s the mad scientist from Lahore

He has many accolades for he had many votes
He cloned so many, democracy was a joke
But the governor caught on
And saw through the clouds
Something was evil under the shroud
Banished he was to the prison of deception
Hopefully he will clone no more fake conceptions

There was a movie about cloning with Michael Keaton called Muliplicity, it was silly, but makes one realize that you can clone the body, but each mind will be different. Cool poem Arthur! : )

Interesting read, Arthur, a great sci-fi piece, no female clones, all lads?? Mad scientist has to havve some level of limitation. A great read: My favorite line: "Banished he was to the prison of deception" - I can read a lot into that one line alone.
