Best Seasonschristmas Poems

My Last Poem For Christmas!

This is my last poem for Christmas.
     I have so much I must do!
     I have family and friends to visit.
     I wish you all the best too.

     Come follow me in my travels;
     Let's start right here on the NET.
     There are people I need to encourage,
     Some new friends, I've recently met.

     Many are sad, ill or lonely,
     I'm hoping to bring them some cheer.
     Then I'm off to visit some old folk'
     Who've no family anywhere near.

     I'll sit and listen to stories
     Of times when they all had great fun.
     I'll laugh, then we'll sing songs and carols,
     About Christmas and Jesus, God's Son.

     I'm trusting the peace of this Christmas,
     Will be a great blessing to you.
     That each of you will gain inspiration,
     To carry you all the year through.
     HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Welcome to my mountain abode, you can have coffee and snacks while watching the show
The scenes change each night, a new manger here and there built by the Congregation below
In the Nativity Scene, down at the church I am the Wiseman with Frankincense as my Gift
The town Christmas tree, at the center of town square, almost hidden by the giant snowdrift
As the Tree is lit, and Carols sung , I light my donation to the town: The Christmas Star
Every year the town folk would say the Peidmont “ Christmas Star “ can be seen near and far
The community all together Sharing the Love and Grace of the fifth season : Christmas

One Christmas eve my ceiling hung
With thready webs a glow behind
Cast lace patterns on my bed

That Yule eight reindeer ran the covers
Then through every midnight room
I cried to mother father brother

All of whom had shed by dream
Their task of season’s rush and bother
Free but lost to my entreat

“Can’t you see them paw prance?
Oh mother how they rear and point
At Santa – that jolly Christmas ghost”

All filmy things    once designated
Then    not real    evaporated
And I sat straight up in bed

Rubbed the cobwebs from my eyes
Memory of tinsel    candy
Presents in my drowsy head

Awake to silence    angel hair
Little men in forest dress
Imaginary pixies on the stair

And then    remembering the tree
(all hazy else it seems had been a dream)
The tree that by our fireplace rose

In thought it glowed above the dreamy web
Those blue green red silver lights
Had formed quaint phantoms on my bed

I’m up on tiptoe and carefully
Am sneaking toward the living room
(Inky blackness    don’t you see)

Don’t you see the little man
Dressed in Santa suit belt and boots
Spreading presents neath the tree

Now truth be known so sorry am I to say
‘Little boy blue’ is yet in bed
Those phantom figures swimming his head

And late that eve ceiling bright
With visions of the coming day
The wisest Angel of the night

Makes visit singing of the play
A song of filial brotherhood
With child invests the neighborhood

Christmas Wish

I often sit and think of gone past years
And can,t help but shed a little tear

The laughs and times we all shared together
Are now but memories we shall have forever

I miss you all and always will
Things can,t be the same I know but still

I will always treasure in my heart
The great times we had and the day we all had to part

My Christmas wish is that we could all be together again once more
Thats something we all wish of this I am sure

So until such time God bless you all
Have a great Christmas and new year
I don,t think my wish is too tall

Let That Wish Be Yours, Not Mine...

As Christmas draws nearer, gentler than a whisper,
and the old year has six more days left;
and before the new one takes over...
I'm swamped with many wishes, searching
for the one which has more meaning;
and it's not only my holiday wish:
but its everyone's...if the intention is honest
and nothing insincere is seen in that laughter!

Let that wish be yours, not mine...
because life has granted me all my wishes!
And being much older, I can show you all:
how to glimpse into them with stunning eyes;
explaining to others what's the meaning of Happy Holidays!
And wouldn't they want the same for themselves in due time?

Let that wish be yours, not mine...
come much closer, there's no need to say it loud;
it's more than a wonderful secret to guard against time!
And it's deeper than a concealed promise,
because it hasn't been revealed once;
but disbelief is not a compromising word!

And finally Christmas has come and the wreaths of flaming red...like fire,
have many bells that chime as the merry children spread the good news
with a classic carol amid drifts of puffy snow that sticks to their warm attire;
and it's their wish, not mine: to close their little eyes and fantasize!
The merriment in their voices has more thrill than the verses I recite;
and they, recognizing the message I proclaim, gladly become my muse!

Premium Member Christmas In My Town

The countdown to Christmas day begins
A festive season of light and joy within
Homes cleaned painted polished and buffed
Bright colored lights frame front entry doors
Of all the houses great and small

In living rooms stand the grand Christmas tree
What a delight for Father Christmas to see
Beautiful ornaments hang on every branch
Refreshing pine scent the whole house enhance
The smell of cinnamon wafting over hibiscus shrubs

Children run and play before bedtime soon
Low in the sky hangs a full yellow moon
Reflecting its brilliance on soft white sands
Graceful palm trees dance to the warm ocean breeze
As a billion stars blanket the navy blue sky
Twinkle in celebration of Christmas in my town
