Sagittarius (Astrology Acrostic)

Spiritually inclined
Altruistic to the nth degree
Generous and kind
Intellectual, yet carefree
Travel a lifelong love
Thighs like a thundering horse
Aiming for the stars above
Ruled by Jupiter’s course
Irrepressible, friendly and happy
Unselfish and never a bore

Sagittarius

What an unfair, inevitable story.
Failing to count all these tears I continue to cry.
I hide away in a secret place, alone for my time,
Is there no more miracles to hope for, just lies?

The sweet, heartbreaking moments in our times,
As the amber glow starts to fade around.
At the end of this neverending dreams,
I tried to open my eyes, only to fall to the ground.

If my tears never cease, I’ll just walk forward.
I can still sense it, and I try to trace the last of you.
I’ll keep protecting it with everything I’ve got,
Because this hidden world is meant for us two.

If the tears of mine never stop, I’ll continue walking forward,
A future of ours that continues on for eternity.
If I choose this path, the stabbing pain in my heart fades,
As I walk to you, the things I lost will be nothing but a memory.

If I can never stop crying, then so be it,
I’ll learn my right and wrong as I near you.
As I continue on this winding path, I am stronger now,
Finding that world meant for us two.

The world meant for us two.

Untitled #351 / Sagittarius A

In the center of our galaxy
from 1992 through 2003
astronomers were able to observe
a star, orbiting compact radio source
Sagittarius A.
The star had an orbit with average radius
1.4x1014 m
and period 15 years.
From this information astronomers estimated
the mass of Sagittarius A.
v = 2π(1.4x1014)/(15x365x24x60x60) = 1.86x106 m/s
a = (1.86x106)2/(1.4x1014) = 0.0247 m/s2
0.0247 = (6.673x10-11)M/(1.4x1014)2
M = 7.24x1036 kg
7.24x1036/(1.989x1030) = 3.6 million suns!
Astronomers infer that Sag. A is a
supermassive black hole
(it cannot be seen)!
OH LITTLE STAR

The Tale of Mr Sagittarius and Lady Libra

Mr Sagittarius, Man of Fire, among the trees,
Sat down and fashioned arrows out of wood and flint with ease.
Then passing, Lady Libra, who despite her grace and airs,
Was captured by the flame in him, so hid, and watched him there.

His craftsmanship was beautiful, he carved with speed and skill,
She sensed his softer music even though he’d trained to kill.
Our Archer took an arrow, raised his bow and stilled his mind,
The arrow sailed, and punctured through the tree she hid behind.

So here he found our Lady, and was spellbound by her eyes,
As bright as constellations he did not yet recognise.
And she adored his centaur form, admired him head to tail,
And he, enthralled by elegance, quite adored her simple scales.

He loved her constant calmness and she loved his subtle pride,
A love that led to asking if she’d be his balanced bride.
Her answer was immediate, her ‘yes’ was not delayed,
She wanted him forever and her heart was duly weighed.

Orion wed them happily, the Great Bear bore the rings,
The Seven Sisters shone all night to zodiacal kings.
So Mr Sagittarius had his lady by his side,
But nature had dictated they were separate in the sky.

So loving Lady Libra made a necklace for the pain,
Her Archer’s gilded fingertip on a Cassiopeian chain.
She studded it with diamonds for the eight stars of his sign,
She wore it for her centaur so he knew that she was fine.

And even now, the story goes, they spend their days as one,
For stars are never needed when the sky is blessed with Sun.
Then when they have to be apart as pictures of the night,
He lies next to her patient heart, so she shines twice as bright.

Sagittarius

Well and you are a freedom
lover if anything so archer
of my dreams go on and
spread your wings as
lightning goes to the sky in
the blink of an eye you
disappear again, born of the
wind...Sagittarius carefree
and adventurous, traveling
heavenly roads and now
only God knows where
you are but as you go you
roll like thunder...well I
pray I'll see you again as
Spring turns into Winter
Sagittarius oh Sagittarius
for me there will be no other
love and if I have to I'll wait
for you forever, forever
Sagittarius...I can still hear
you saying I will come back
to you someday but It is my
destiny to spread peace, justice
and harmony to the four corners
of the earth, this is my whole
purpose and has been since
the ancient time of my birth
and as lightning goes to the
sky in the blink of an eye
you are gone again somewhere
up high above the wind...
Sagittarius oh Sagittarius
ruler of my heart where ever
you are, near or far I know, I know
you can feel my love, oooh my love
my sweet, sweet Sagittarius!

Sagittarius

...Taurus sat across from Sagittarius as she opened her gift. We watched in awe of this... With a smile & a laugh she had slain our hearts, but Taurus was a goner. The other Zodiacs knew that we would never see Taurus again... T'was now his destiny to remain with Sagittarius... for all eternity. It could be said that none of us ever truly left. A tiny bit of us ?? would always be with them.

Sagittarius

When I think about you I get lost in my mind all I see are images of you & I intertwined
You would think I'm talking about bodies because yours is so divine I'm actually talking about your mind a rarity in these days and times
I look forward to hearing your voice like I just got a new inner ear I keep trying to do magic because I wish you were here hocus pocus don't fail me now I need a roadmap and a plan on how
Give me the coordinates to your heart so I can come stop the fear
I'm not perfect but I strive to be when you're near
I believe men move off logic & women off emotions but if we both keep open minds we'll flow strong like the ocean overflow with devotion in a harmonic motion
Who me?  Just sitting here thinking about you which has become my new norm trying to be a meteorologist waiting to protect you from a storm

Sagittarius

Strike true the star sign of the archer hunter’s heart true north while
Arrows of artistic aspiration fly free from optimistic opportunity in
Grand views of grace to stumble over humility’s stone in blunt speech as
Inquisitive innovations turn eyes to heaven’s crystal river in the
Thrill of effervescent infectious energy for risks of happiness and
To the trusting essence worthy of compassion’s trust where
All creatures great and small hear bubbling music’s fresh fountains while
Ragged edges of unfinished rhapsodies, abandoned in new crusades of
Insatiable quests for authentic unexplored astral eternity,
Understand restless feet rushing in the wind - sign of fire adventures -
Searcher of the stars and soul revels in laughter and vision’s arrows

Spirited one who wields the bow and arrow
Adventurer most extraordinaire,
Generous to a fault, unlike the fabled pharoah,
Independent, occasionally self-absorbed, even arrogant
Trailblazer who will unhesitatingly say au contraire.
This truth-seeker has little patience for the ignorant
Adept at taking “the road less traveled by” *
Resists those who are closed-minded and unfair,
Insists on steadfast friends, the flighty need not apply
Unusually enthusiastic, fiery, strong-willed who dare,
Smart, capable, natural-born leaders who really care.

Mirror In Sagittarius

I see you girl ,
with those epic flaming curls
and the breathtaking sight of your eyes.
I see you everyday, igniting step by step.
so much to live, so much to learn , so much to fail,
but always , a young heart of fire.
I see those eyes envious of your light ,
plotting how to steal it.
Deceptive pupils , I see their rage, I see them scared,
because, who can anything against your flames?
Too powerful ,
let your heat burn, let your hell grow,
until all implodes.
Glass ashes to tame an indolent soul.
The secret of touching your heart ,
without getting burned
that I only know.

S/he was angry
never fully feeling
it was her time to fly,
even if alone.

And now afraid
this is his time
to die
never having known
quite
how to fly together.

Orwell of Sagittarius

On the Eve of St Orwell's Day
The squaw woman brought truth to bare
In scripted pose and statuary dish
A recipe changed from Bollusk to bisque

And the night crept up like Jupiter
A false Eden in the sky way main
To porridge or to bed
The urchin s running unkempt and bold

With prophetic dreams untold
Except in murmuring drag
Their nightly secrets keep
The recipe will in the morning come

Or porridge be damned with my spoon
I'll spoon your sugar until you sweet
Come nether or come neat
