L Milton Hankins Poet Acrostic

Sagittarius

Spirited one who wields the bow and arrow 
Adventurer most extraordinaire, 
Generous to a fault, unlike the fabled pharoah, 
Independent, occasionally self-absorbed, even arrogant 
Trailblazer who will unhesitatingly say au contraire.  
This truth-seeker has little patience for the ignorant 
Adept at taking “the road less traveled by” * 
Resists those who are closed-minded and unfair,  
Insists on steadfast friends, the flighty need not apply     
Unusually enthusiastic, fiery, strong-willed who dare, 
Smart, capable, natural-born leaders who really care. 

[*Reference to Robert Frost’s well-known poem.]

So, be prepared to be a confidant as there will be many goals, dreams and stories to be told. However, hold on to the pleasures of the world but unable to let go. The Sagittarius has a facility in giving himself over all that gives joy, even if it is momentary. My mot ambitious acrostic is on the name Martial, the Roman epigrammatist, who has been a major influence on my own epigrams. Not sure if it's still posted.
