Premium Member More Dreams To Row

As moonshine hangs low casting light afar
with orange beams rippling on true hearts pressed;
surrounding a line of pure, coupled stars
while fingers hunger for love, possessed ...
oh, can there be a scene like this more blessed?
If life could pluck hours, let my age withdraw
come love, for we have boat rides more to row.

And as sunrise prays with the mountaintop
lapping against clear fog the prairies keep...
just there, dawn sprinkles on each dewdrop
waking the calm of a morn from its sleep
how can a day hold glory half as deep?
And if breaths could grasp ripples of life’s glow
come dream with me, for we have years to sow!

Premium Member Two Warm Days In A Row

Yesterday, Winter storms made the front page:
today, the headlines are all about Spring,
hailing the changes only She can bring;
like warm breezes to disarm Winter's rage.
But like the musings of a wizened sage,
the doldrums of Winter manage to cling.
And the Robin Redbreast must wait to sing,
for this premature Spring hasn't come of age.

Today, it's cloudy and about to snow,
while temperatures dip below zero.
And a sulking sun refuses to show;
forcing thoughts of an early Spring to go.
And yet, though Spring fled, She's still my hero;
for She gave me two warm days in a row.

Premium Member Death Row Blues

He’d spent nearly a decade on death row
Praying for appeals that were not bestowed
     Had a solid alibi
One the courts would just not buy
A death sentence he’d have to undergo

DNA exam proved him no killer
But there’s a sad angle to this thriller
     Tests performed posthumously
     Executioners agree
Evidence came too late; what a chiller!

Second Row To the Board

Second row to the board!

These words could not just be ignored
I’m thinking but a vintage few
Would even start to have a clue

Nostalgia begs those days at school
With steely nuns whose stare would rule
         Blackboards and their squeaky clamor
            Chalked Arithmetic and grammar

When called upon to diagram
By row, we took final exam
Our sentence structure, now to see
Whose brain has not been absentee

With prepositions, verbs and nouns
We hit the boards, such eager sounds
Arms held tight, just the right angle
              Participles must not dangle!

I Row My Little Boat

I row my little boat
By Michelle Morris
23/02/2023

I row my little boat
Out onto the ocean
I know boats are meant
To be free to explore

Harbours are safe
For ships to hide
But that's not where
They earn their stripes

Likewise, we humans
Need to meander
Through valleys and over hills
Experience the joy and happiness

The fears and discomfort
The growing pains for our souls
We need to take the tests
To learn the lessons of old

So, I put my faith
In God above
I pray for guidance
I pray for love

I row my little boat
With faith and hope
I live my life
With God's grace and love

Premium Member Row Your Boat

Row, row, Row YOUR Boat
Gently down the stream;
Row with the flow of life t'wards YOUR
Each and ev'ry dream.
Row YOUR Boat always,
Always with the flow,
For against the current
Is not the way to go.

Row, row, Row YOUR Boat,
Row YOUR Boat along
And if you row with Love, you'll be
Never in the wrong.
Should you encounter rapids
Or should you run aground,
They're temporary setbacks,
But don't you turn around!

Just row, Row YOUR Boat
Onward t'wards YOUR dream,
Rowing along with Love, as the
Power of YOUR steam.
For when you row with Love,
You'll ne'er be out of power
Nor besieged with bitterness
Nor will YOUR dreams go sour.

Row, row, Row YOUR Boat,
Make ripples as you go,
Ripples of caring, kindness, with
Gratitude to show.
Should waves so big rush in
To overturn YOUR boat,
The elements of Love
Will keep you still afloat.

Row, row, Row YOUR Boat.
Let others row their own,
But be a tug sometimes when a
Need for help is shown.
We all must row our boats;
We all must keep in mind;
We all encounter troubles
That'll get us in a bind.

Row, row, Row YOUR Boat.
Don't just float adrift
Nor miss precious moments from you
Being way too swift.
For when we drift along,
Precious time we waste,
But when we speed too fast,
We'll likewise do with haste.

Row, row, Row YOUR Boat
In friendly waters do.
Leave behind all fake friends to
Row with only true.
Row YOUR Boat steadily,
Be careful how you steer.
Choose God as YOUR Guide
And faith instead of fear.

Row, row, Row YOUR Boat,
To thyself be true.
Seek YOUR best with humbleness and
Good will follow you.
Row, row, Row YOUR Boat
Gently down the stream.
Row with God and Love, He'll lead you
To YOUR ev'ry dream.

Death Row

morning breaks like a crack shot through bone
the needs are frightening that i must possess
this hunger in my womb

head out to trenches
crawling on concrete blood
tanks and diesel
mortars and pestle
clouds of promise
blind my way
the kings in control
but the ghosts
are there
and their
and they’re
in hoods of faith
to cut the cord

steal down the path of deaths holy trail
hide from satin's cape in tombs with idols they set ablaze
craters of remains hold pieces of flesh and baby’s breath
wretched with veil wrapped tight to skirmish no eyes
reaching sanctuary for my supply
around and around
to face it again
and again
and

again
past bloody sheets
car parts for limbs
sparkplug fingers
transmission torsos

naked in hells kitchen
i die for
daily bread

today life goes
and goes
not

within me
and
without me

down a
baghdad
death
row

Row row row your boat gently down the stream
Merrily merrily merrily merrily life Is but a dream... soaring beyond the skies the hue shadowed glows blue mist with green fields loving the stars above spring time love encased the sparkles and specks of destiny with no regrets knowing you did your best on repeat knowing yourself value complete.
Many drinks of water would not dare to collide riding rowing ships glory
kissing waves of possibilities the ears and nose knows the throats pain!
Every strand of hair is numbered We toast from the heart hope this is understood? Come in and sit with the crest of good better and best
upon the heart rest. Ships roll in turbulent seas
                    A vehement heat..
Walking red red mist tones golden bell rings for joy to greet the inner child
Up ahead rolling waves hurricane no one can tame in the land
Than Love enters into the game singing a new song and planned
The gates of hell can not prevail the keys have turned the lock
Waters of envious sickness shallow diseases not!
Many drinks of water cannot quench love no neither can the floods drown it
Upon all become stronger resting on the shoulders of kindness
Row row row your boat gently down the water tears fumes
Merrily merrily merrily merrily sing another tune.
Get a new theme Remember
Just at the time love takes a journey coast
To thrill to chill the heated flesh to salutes the taste a little more and one toast
quenching toast of rest. Caress the mind from loves journey behind the hurting test Stress These ships roll in turbulent seas
into the sea of death a vehement fire rolling waves
like a hurricane, jealousy no one can tame right into the
waters of cruel seas damp cold as the Grave
Terrible craftmanship Fellowships and nonsense
Battleships friendships kinships Relationships
Hardships sail upon Companionship true friendship will stand up as a team
For some of us, life is not what it seems

Row Your Boat

Life is but a dream, while rowing down the stream
Better to flow along in life’s mystery, some call it destiny
The present is a gift, if you catch my drift
Watch your flanks, as life & death are your banks
‘Cause your reserves are vested in your life preserve’s

Together We Row and Row

The genius knows it too,
It's hard to really say.
But the soul is not enough,
to carry someone away.

To the person that I wrote to,
That letter a long time ago.
It said, you and I are collective souls,
Together we row and row.

The spirit animal of my man,
Has been scaring me and my demons for a while.
The fire was never created,
We walked alone and together for more than a mile.

I've listed my moments,
Sunshine, daisies, skulls, shallow.
It is what you choose,
And your soul chooses me to live the lie and torture the truth.

It is greedy to understand,
What we were together.
Maybe you violated the law of the wanderland,
To see how the window waved the weather.

From my wonders and worries,
To your pain of persistence has led to see.
Indeed I told you to never pick what you throw,
Together we row and row.

Death Row Final Thoughts, Get Low

Mom and Dad, today I die!
Can you forgive your murderous Son,
for the evil I have done?

Yes! Today I die.
But, if the truth be known,
my life ended years ago,
with my rage out of control.

I was high on drugs that fatal night,
when we had that horrendous family fight.
How could I, your loving Son,
have shot you both with grandpa's gun!

They're coming for me!
I hear their footsteps down the hall.
My final thought, my hope, my all,
will your arms be open wide,
when we meet on the other side?
Or will you both turn your faces away,
and in hell's prison, let me stay?

They are here!
Forgive me, God, Your mercies are great, (* & **)
Carry me home, the hour is late.
"Thou I walk through the valley of the shadow
of death..." Psalm 23:4

Front Row Seat

Shards of raindrops shatter against
vigorous winds of a maelstrom
scraping the peak of an erect pillar
Brave and ready for martyrdom.

A percussion of drums ensues
to delight the Makers Phantom
accompanied by claps and snaps
fulfilling tradition and custom.

Sounds reach impossible soaring heights
that stretch beyond the farthest kingdom
and find the pace of uncontrolled descent
which echoes through the pillars bosom.

Triumphant bass dawns the finale
Bellowing from below the bottom
As quickly as the song arose it falls
To keep the pillar ready at random.

Jellybean Row

There is a place I know
that the locals call jellybean row
the drunk dance in the street
there is no animosity, nobody is a foe

the wind whips and curls around the battery
more complimentary then flattery
people see it as an adventure
rather then inherent danger

the car absent path of intoxication
arms entwined and shameless flirtation
a pint in hand and family on my shoulder
greasy fish, fit for mastication

as I step off the boat in aux basque
I need not wear my mask
for I am on the rock
where love is felt when no one talks

Row the Boat

Just row the boat,
Just row the boat,
Even if unknown why.
Just row the boat,
Just row the boat,
And man, you'll go high.

Just row the boat,
Just row the boat
Even if your hands give up.
Just row the boat,
Just row the boat,
Even if you've had enough.

Just row the boat,
Just row the boat,
Even if you're stalked by sharks.
Just row the boat,
Just row the boat,
No matter how grotesque bruise marks.

If you row the boat,
If you row the boat,
You may reach luck's open arms.
If you row the boat,
If you row the boat,
No more emptiness in your palms.

If you row the boat,
If you row the boat,
At least, you gained exercise.
If you row the boat,
If you row the boat,
The decision; remarkably wise.

If you row the boat,
If you row the boat,
Mistake; an antonym.
If you row the boat,
If you row the boat,
You may just reach Him
