Best Rings A Bell Poems
silence
the gift of time
a wink
a strike
that lights a candle
a breath
that bops a gong
a smile
that rings a bell
a mind
that stirs a chime
that stops
and listens
till the very last sound wave
travels
resonates
through air
giving
the gift of time
one precious moment
eternity in a capsule

summer snowflake...the ice cream man rings a bell and drifts by
Campanologist
forgets to let go the rope
His face rings a bell
In pain u couldn't talk
Whenever I came to check on u
Lying in bed there
I knew u wanted to tell me something
Poor me I cried
And let myself avoid u
I thought I caused you pain
So I went in vain
Then here comes a phone call
I just lost my loved one
Grandma why did u go
Atleast u could ask me first
Time really can tell
And at times it rings a bell
But sometimes it's like hell
Crazy moments of life
Felt like I should blame
All those around me
Maybe she could be saved
But I don't even know how
Cancer is a killer
People have to know
When it attacks someone
It kills slowly and painfully
Grandma, I love u
We made jokes all the time
Not knowing someday
U'll not even be able to speak
Now I know it all
U left with a part of me
I can feel the pain, newly
Everytime I think of u
And when I look at ur photo
I wish I knew the date
I would dance with u all night
And tell u good bye
Before u could die
But u are no longer here
Wait fot me where u are
Our hearts will speak 2 each other
I wana hear u saying
I miss u Irene

written for the National Day of Prayer
May 2, 2013
Very soon after terror
threatens with its spell,
faith signals us to gather
belief rings a bell.
Sounding out our care
as the dreaded darkness falls.
Stop and offer prayer.
During times of joy and peace
and when hopes prevail,
morning, noon or late at night
praise should never fail.
Thank the God who cares
when His blessings intervene.
Stop and offer prayers.
If you're worried or afraid
if you're caught in doubt
realize God sees your plight,
open up and shout.
Victory declare
let folks know you know He's real.
Stop and offer prayer.
COOKING POT
I looked around me, everything was dark
as if my own eyes were completely shut,
that the would have come to an end,
my eyelids were very heavy,-
like I had a sleeping spell on me,
I was seeing things that were given me
very bad dreams,-
the stars are all on dim
they skip around the sky,
upon the sea, I have seen the reflections of he
standing over me,-
the colored moon beamed upon the land
upon everything my eyes could see;
I tried so hard to open my eyes
But I couldn't it was as if I was dead,
I dreamed many dreams in my head
I see things of an ancient time,
I felt I have been bond to my bed;
as if I was quite insane of true madness,
in my mind, I saw a different set of eye
looking back at me from another time,
I see slaves dancing around me,
crying out to a king that stands before me,
the sky was dark; the fair is hot;
I could see a big cooking pot,
words of their time weren't of mine,
you could feel the evil all around;
the anger browed in the pot,
words of truth weren't in their mouths,
lies and so much hate with not faith,
Witches are casting out their evil spells,
giving a queen life of a living hell,
their face turned to me
as I started to scream,
I have seen many things that come to me
like something of darkening dreams,
they were very old holding no youth,
I forget your name they would say
In a cloud of smoke;
frogs are being tossed in the old cooking pot,
a chicken tongue, blackbird eyes,
bugs of the desert land,
the thunder in the ancient sky roared while
the storm moved on by;
I see holly ones being persecuted;
the words of accurate knowledge
was told to never be promoted on the land
where the old witches stand
on blood, stained sand, that was a command,
words of truth are forbidden;
enemies casting names of thee into the pot of hell
while somewhere rings a bell;
bodyguards took the prison ones
out of the cage; those who have lost their way,
ravens are flying around to eat up on the dead
the ones who have lost their heads,
words of temptations of the flash
dancing around the cooking pot,
my body started feeling cold
I didn't have any more control
while lies where being told,
my eyelids were heavy as they could be
I was cast into a deep sleep.

The Queen Of Darken Dreams Poetic Lilly Emery
It so early it's only four o'clock and it's dark on a freezing cold and wet morning,
A man with a cap rings a bell to let us know times getting on and dawn’s dawning,
As the bell rings all the lights on at Billingsgate Market famous for it's fish,
Lighting all the fishy stalls and the dark walkways selling seafood's for a dish,
Haddocks and plaice packed in boxes with ice for many chip shops, frying tonight,
Fresh the same day for a restaurant for weight watchers who want something light,
A strong smell ozone wafts around the whole fish market from the prostrate cod,
Caught in big trawler nets by weathered fishermen on the sea with nets not a rod.
Sellers in this market shout aloud fishy slogans like, ‘Wink-wink-wink-winkles’,
Have em with some salt, pepper and vinegar that you can ‘Spri-spri-spri-sprinkle’,
Railway carts shunting, clashing, banging rolling along tangles of narrow streets,
From the Monument to the market their shouting is matched by the seagulls shriek.
A fleet of horse drawn carts take fish to nearby shops dropping off boxes outside,
Over cobblestone, waking all as they thunder along bouncing in uncomfortable rides.
its has taste
will not go to waste
has every race
i love this place
also has smell that rings a bell
with a rose sent
MY NEW APARTMENT
Remember, dancing with the devil
In life will take it's toll
For, dancing with the devil
In the end will take your soul
Many who have done it
Reached the top only to die
Many souls we thought in heaven
Could never get that high
The Forever 27 club
playing in the band
Janis, Jim and Jimi
In hell, oh....ain't it grand
We thought them all as angels
But, the truth it rings a bell
They were dancing with the devil
And they ended up in hell
Cobain and Amy Winehouse
Oh yeah, they're down there too
Brian Jones and others
Playing hard rock and the blues
Sell your soul to Satan
Where you go...you do not choose
If you spend time with the devil
It's nothing but bad news
Remember, dancing with the devil
In life will take it's toll
For, dancing with the devil
In the end will take your soul
Many who have done it
Reached the top only to die
Many souls we thought in heaven
Could never get that high
There's others there who did the dance
Hit the crossroads, sold their soul
Drugs and drink and suicide
That's how this devil rolls
Some may get redemption
For the things they do in life
they sold out with their talent
They were dancing on a knife
The band is hot, and so's the place
They play here every night
We wish they were in heaven
But, deep down you know I'm right
Elvis, yes, the king is here
He did drugs and did the dance
Now, he's singing for the devil
He never had a chance
Remember, dancing with the devil
In life will take it's toll
For, dancing with the devil
In the end will take your soul
Many who have done it
Reached the top only to die
Many souls we thought in heaven
Could never get that high
So many tortured people
So many who did wrong
They traded with the devil
For the price of just a song
Rock and Roll in heaven
Has a great band, just the same
But, with Janis, Jim and Jimi here
They just don't have the game.
She’s not averse to forty winks
But afterwards she wakes and blinks
And to her privy corner slinks
As enigmatic as the Sphinx
She sits atop her tray and thinks
Up some mischievous new high jinks
The sound of Mum preparing drinks
Dad washing dishes in the sinks
“So tired of waiting” wail the Kinks
This rings a bell with hungry Minx
Who from her empty food bowl shrinks
As ice in Bombay Sapphires clinks
It’s not the time for forty winks
Young mice frolicking in the pinks
Beware the coming of the Minx!
this rings a bell
no hotel
on hiway
your boby say
need its sex indeed
time to unload
than its
SEX AT THE SIDE OF THE
ROAD
I am under a spell.
Your love is sweeter than I could tell.
Your name rings a bell.
You are graceful like a gazelle.
Whenever you are in danger,
I will fight for you as a ranger,
Cos in my heart you are no stranger.
You have become my heart manager.
I'm familiar with your fragrance.
I noticed you in one glance.
Am lost in a trance.
Knowing you was not by chance.
We are made for one another.
We are a good mixture, we can lather.
I would leave my mother and father
And all my love to you I will render.
...I realy do love you.
Lady of the Lists
By Robert (Bob) Moore
The Lady of the Lists, that’s what I call my Wife
not that she would swing a Sword, or use a Lance or Knife
she writes lists, all day long, for shopping, and things to do
crosses them off when they are done, then, start a list that’s new
Now me, I just go down the shops, and look at all the things
I know I’ll see just what I need, and bells will start to ring
in a few hours, I am lost, I came here for a reason
can’t be grass seed, or weed killer, it is not the season
I buy some bits and pieces, just so not to waste
the time I have spent looking, for the thing I have misplaced
somewhere in my mind I know, I need the whatsaname
and I know its hidden somewhere, deep within my brain
I pick up this, and pick up that, but nothing rings a bell
it’s gone, and I can’t think of it, I’ve forgotten, I can tell,
I go home all loaded up, with things I didn’t want
I tried to sneak in through the back, I could not stand the taunt
did you get what you wanted, she says with just a smile
could not find them I said to her, I’ll go back in a while
I know that I’ll remember, what it was I hadn’t found
and next time it pops in my head, I think I’ll write it down.
A shoulder to cry on
a tear in a storm
a rainbow of a dream
a light so clear it beams
a ghost in a shell
a cat rings a bell
a tea cup on a round about
a cloud in my heart
a table sat at alone
a room full of people
but you're still lonely
a kettle boils
a child laughs
the world is ending?
Dont be so daft.
Bright as the morning sun
Every day I think of you till dawn
My air you fill with your fragrance
And day by day you make me sink deeper.
Your eyes
A perfect replica of sweet drawings
Your eyelashes
Fit in more than sun glasses,
Your nose
Pointed and charming as rose
Your luscious lips
Always inviting for a kiss
Your sweetly curved hips
The reason why every man trips
For your sake men go crazy
And when they come close you leave them dreaming
You are one of God’s Angels
That in heaven rings a bell
Sent from above
To win God souls
Erinma, a beauty so divine
Everything about you pictures heaven’s glorious design.
