Best Redirecting Poems

Words Are Not Enough

Words are not enough,
Alphabets strung in uncertainty,
Speech slurred in disbelief,
Love endlessly professed,
Lacking in action or substance,
Intentions of the heart,
Inexpressible by vocabulary,
Pledges frustrated by timelines,
Lofty dreams built with bricks of vapour,
Visions written on sand,
Children of promise orphaned by unfulfillment,
In foster care of compromise,
Doubt takes up tenancy,
Sin, its landlord.

Grace grants clemency,
Faith offers a new lease,
Adopted by rectitude,
Shut doors avert imminent destruction,
Redirecting the path to destiny,
Visions conceptualized begin to materialize,
Pipe dreams turn reality,
Old debts reconciled,
The hearts intent,
Superseded by divine counsel,
Love endures its rule,
Substantiated by fidelity,
After all said and undone,
Words alone are not enough.

Premium Member Please Don'T Judge Me

Please don't judge me based on my religious preference, my hair, what I wear, or how I speak. I can promise you, I'm different than what you'd expect. I don't expect much, though that's still too much. I'm not sure if I like myself as of now, but I'm working on it. If I don't care, you shouldn't either. So you can keep knocking, but won’t knock me down, no love lost, no love found. When you so good, that you can’t say it cuz it isn’t even cool for you to sound cocky anymore,
I am myself nothing more, nothing less.
I wouldn't exactly classify myself as "normal". I can careless what you think of me. I don't like associating with drama queens, troublemakers and just stupid people.
I'm not perfect. To be factual, I'm very far from it. My point of view on things are different than most. I have values. I have a brain; some of you kids should certainly invest in one. I will treat everyone with respect, if they treat me the same in return.
                                         Here is the reply
sometimes people only gain self gratification by making other people seem bad when all they are doing is verbalizing their own shortcomings and pointing them in someone else's direction, they think by redirecting there self image will make others not see who they really are. But if you have brains you can see it and they will not to play into it, then eventually it will all crash down on them :) leaving you shining.

Love

My demeanor, the aftermaths of recklessness
A child once, a man to soon
The glory to my name gone, the grace faded
Change do I offer no opposition to
Derogatory remarks, have I afforded restraint
A new cry heard; my steps subtle.

Your age, can I speak not of
Every moment, filled with more youth than the first
Memories created; gems remembered
Your hand in mine, a single entity we formed
For each other, were our lives
The joy spent, a cost to you.

A meeting of hearts, the night inspired
The ecstasy unspoken, but felt
Our naivety the error, unconsidered
An unthought conception, implanting itself
Impulse driving our passion, forth
Creators we became; the end I found.

Your figure lost, its voluptuousness
Atrocious had you seemed, to my young mind
The tips of your caress on my palm, offered no connection
Conditions to my love, a reality
Together could we be, never again
The burden was yours, my eyes were free.

To witness I chose, an obligation it was
The lights so bright, intensity I felt
Your tears and screams, nourishing life
The mistake shadowed, by bare beauty
My hands were gifted with purity; my luggage fallen
Reconciliation was to late, but my hands knew no release.

My depart planned, my destination unmoved
His gentle touch, redirecting my path
The regrets unknown, my chin's resemblance I admire
Your forgiveness, I do not desire
Mutual feelings, the base of our relations
A conditional love, the root of an unconditional one.

Once a burden, now a source of joy
The end of had I decided, devoid of reconciliation
His subtle cries, owning my love.

Premium Member Puttin' On the Ritz

A four piece string ensemble competes
with fluted crystal glasses harmonizing
to the tinkling of fine silverware
underpinned by the purring whispers
of well-to-do's and their hobnobbery.

Buttery lobster and rib-eyed supper in
opulent gravies and exotic spices;
cornucopia fruits on sterling platters
all floating about the ballroom on
white gloved tuxedos.

There’s a thick pretense in the air;
a high browed notion of superiority
reflected off each gold-fitted gemstone
amplified when ostensibly viewed
through a monocle lens.

I suppose it’s a lonely company they keep
esteeming each other as conquerors
by cordially extended handshake;
dodging and redirecting questions incessantly,
so as not to be rude, no doubt.

All the lavish excess of the night
is surpassed in every rise and fall
of her chest, as I contemplate silently
what fate has befallen that life, no more
beaming behind those sapphire eyes.

Empty sockets abound, lifelessly
betraying boisterous expressions of mirth.
Dancing corpses swig their Dom Perignon
forgetting for tonight, at least,
the toiling lilies of the field.

Growth

The wealthy say
that to become wealthy
people need to build
different streams of income

That a working wage
pays the highest tax
that investing provides
a second income

The wealthy say invest
Sir Richard Barnson
Invested in the airlines
Virgin employs how many people

Wealthy people know
investing creates
extra income stream's
creating work for people

Reducing unemployment
Australia invested in Quantus
Your Grandparents knew
Investing paid dividens

But the next generation
Made their names
selling those investments
lets sell telecom

Said the New Zealand Government
Four years after it was sold
it paid for itself from profits
Our ancestors investment

helped get the country out of debt
Yet still you can not see
that the wisdom of the past
holds the key

to improving your future
Investments could fund
a struggling health care system
User pays works for many thing

But not for health
people that get Cancer
can't always work
without money

you can't pay for health
health needs to be treated
different
creating work reduces costs

Australia is starting to realise
Investing in Dam's
improving energy production
creates jobs reducing

unemployment
use the wisdom of the people
nothing is black and white
people and growth need education

but redirecting money to investment
also creates growth for the country
money spent on education
prepares for wisdoms guide

We want to brains to design and plan
but we need investments
to create the factory's
to grow invest in both

Beauty and the Beast

A pulchritudinous creature
Oblivious to the turmoil
Stirred in a young mans chest
Tamed the beast in me
Sublimating me
From my true desires
Quelling the fires
Redirecting my passions
Reemploying my sexual energy
So we partake
Of the socially acceptable
Exercise our creative bent
Until the time is right
That blessed moment
When love supplants lust
And passions flame can burn

beer bloat
morning after
football Sunday
am I, or the bar
the consumer
I don't know
I had a good time
shot some pool
cracked some jokes
flirted with girls
not half my age
so vain
so pointless
so fun

journey coming
soon, so
shutting it down
redirecting energy
focus
vision
to what I want more
than football Sunday
a different land
a different people
I hope at least I
brain bloat
broader horizons
deeper insights
and sharper perspectives
than I afford myself here
...yeah
unto that end
I will exercise my mind
and body
un-glut, unclutter
minimalize
rid myself

3 Women, One and the Same

The VICTIM

a heart much larger than the mind
outgoing, free spirited
defenseless, blind
loving, trusting
naive to the ways of mankind

few can escape their fate
as if born to satisfy the need
of predators who lie in wait
to make the soul's hymen bleed

childhood is lost
its innocence gone
broken and tattered
left to carry on

shame and despair
was never yours to claim
yet your own mirror
reflects the blame

silly broken girl
who trusted the world
beats herself, almost to death
until, within one last breath

THE HEALER

She begins to understand
that innocence is pure
so sacred a treasure
it is never secure

but must be protected
at any cost
yet how do you protect
what has already been lost

the daily struggles
through torment and tears
begin to cleanse her soul
redirecting her fears

unto those who can relate
to such a horrid affair
they become bonded by fate
through the experience they share

THE NURTURER

compassion returns
replacing bitter memories
she feels the need
to soothe another's agony

to hold and caress
their tender shattered hearts
never forgetting the day
her own was blown apart

but she is a WOMAN!
and that's what they do
they live and they learn
THANK GOD FOR YOU!

Bob Shank-Nov. 17th, 2006
This poem is dedicated to those women
who know and have experienced the agonies within, those who bond and uplift
each other through the pain, the healing process and the acknowledgement that
they are indeed the strength of all nations...It is a bond that men can't
comprehend, nor will they ever, because we are brutal, wreckless, and they are
the essence of love, and that is why they survive.

Premium Member Sinister

It takes your money and robs you of time,
Chimes for attention, and rings with crime.

Your give it the power to mold and control
Unending hours, absorbed by its hold.

An instant response is expected, demanded.
Heeded is good but delayed? Reprimanded!

All in-person prowess becomes diminished.
Face to face talking so rarely gets finished.

A bully’s bat and a hacker’s treasure
Anonymity’s cover and popularity's measure.

The catfish pool where deceivers swim
And ransoms demanded at every whim.

Larceny’s tool for the unsuspecting,
Innocent calls for fund redirecting.

Our sense of purity known implicitly,
Is replaced with images shown explicitly.

It was made for our good, but buyer beware
There are dangers galore lurking there.

Be not deceived, what you hold is quite sinister
That cell phone of yours is a devious minister.

Premium Member My Take On This Situation

When you feel rejected it may be God's redirecting and protecting you from an unknown situation. It may be He is slowing you down, redirecting you for His perfect plan for your life. "Write the vision, that he who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it delay, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not be to late."

Persona

when you ask me how I am,
I don't quite know how to answer.
rather than admitting my life being disastrous,
I parry your thoughtful blow with a joke,
redirecting the question right back at you.

the hypocrite in me revels in my inherent inability to practice what I preach;
instead of allowing my feelings to flow freely,
with utmost consistency I cowardly hide behind line upon line of charcoal-tinted ink,
posing rhetorical questions,
to mask my own grief.

it'll be the day when I at last admit to being clueless,
my existence mixing Atlas with Sisyphus;
forever rolling a boulder up the incline,
just to have it fall back down,
carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders.

Premium Member It Could Have Been Me

Sweet rice
Sleep tight
Everybody ride a bike
Home sick pick up bricks
Throwing up doesn't necessary mean you're sick
You could be having an exhortation
Just missed the revelations
Now whose gonna abide, who will ride on this train, this train

Coppertone, mega phone
You are not alone
Jeremy, Conway Twitty
Everyone a bit gitty
Throwing up doesn't necessary mean you're sick
You could be having an exhortation
Just missed the revelations

Now whose gonna abide, who will ride on this train, on this train
It could have been me
It could have been me
Oh, oh well it could have been me
Lost and destroyed and losing my soul
It could have been me

There was a car accident about six miles away
it could have been me
On a journey t hat I normally would, go that way, go that way
Running a little bit late so I chose to go another way
On the news later on I heard what went down
Was a seven car pile up on the highway where I was gonna go..
It could have been, could have been me
In that horrible accident many died, few survived
It could have been me at the scene
Later on that day in the early evening time
On the news I heard of a bank robbery
it was at the branch that I usually go to even at the exact time
Opting out of danger is unknown to me
but took a different route that day
Running a little bit late
Oh, Lord it could have been it could have been me
in a car accident, dead or dying Oh! I thank you for saving my life
and redirecting me
Oh, Lord it could have been me at the bank been one of the customer and tellers who got shot
But you saved me you redirected me
It could have been me

Thank You for reviewing my works I present in my worship-gearing

raising me up toward heavenly shining
Thank You for rejuvenating my health for my kingdom-service refining
Recreate me against my stubbornness by Your sovereign governing…
Ready me for Your glorious returning along my divine yearning.

Premium Member Should We Redirectt Julie Jump Down

Jubilant Johnny Jump Up runs all over town
But what about Debutante Julie Jump Down?
She lands on horses and cows and such.
Would re-directing her be too much?

If she were to also jump up along with Johnny
Would that infuriate his lovely wife named Connie?
They used to have a running feud, these unhappy two.
Getting them to agree would be a coup.

Are you on board on helping me redirect Julie Jump Down?
I think we can catch her; she is on this side of town.
Uh-oh here is Connie and she looks mean and sour.
She is one hag I never want to make dour.

My apologies to the horses and cows and such.
But I think redirecting Julie might be too much.
I want to stay on the good side of terrible Connie.
So, I am not going to mention Julie or Johnny.
