~Yes, I Know I Won't Be Here Forever~

       Sometimes, I just don't realize,
       How golden my minutes are.
       I sit around and criticize,
       Like a hapless drunk in a bar.

       Yes, I know I won't be here forever!

       The decades, as dreams, swiftly pass,
       My irritability gets the best of me.
       I complain too much and sass,
       Surprised I am not banished to sea.

       Yes, I know I won't be here forever!

       I never seem to fully appreciate,
       That each minute never is coming back.
       Time to love and not to berate,
       All the beauty God laid in my life's track.

       Yes, I know I won't be here forever!

Stop being so downcast!
Stop feeling so blue!
And please, stop caring about how many here like you!
On this planet we have but a short time here.
Don't you understand this basic truth?
There is nothing to fear!

Don't come here to be a comment collector.
Reply to comments for heaven's sake!
Please don't be just a selfish taker!
Someone took time to not only read but comment!
You let them sit ice cold, so arrogantly bold.

Some will like you, some will not.
So, laugh, get a tall, cool glass of apricot nectar,
And let the arrogant rot!
If you ever get insulted, get a screenshot!

Big whoop if poets go in another direction!
Ta-ta, au-Revoir~you don't need to be, by them, to be
detected!
The arrogant here think they are by the very God selected?
They by pass your poetry as if it were garbage, freshly collected?

You can see it in their "perfect poetry"
Always a race to be at the top of the poetry tree.
Rarely, will they comment to thee.
You must first comment to them on humble,bended knee?
Looking in mirrors, it's only themselves they see!

Just, please pen some words from your very special heart!
Not Shakespearian wannabes, such pretentious smarts!
There are marvelous poets here, genuine people
I praise them from the highest steeple!

Put on the page, whatever you feel,.above all else, be
unflinchingly real.
And when you go to bed each night, oh my.
How happy and accomplished you will be!
That you are a genuine poet not a poet-groupie!

+Her Spirit Sublime+

She knelt in God's marble chapel, in her uniform.
A suit of deep,forest green with fresh white blouse
honoring God, her King.

So young, she bowed her shiny brunette head in reverence,
Hearing the robins sing, that teenage spring, singing
in angelic consonance.

Her prayerbook of black leather, gold-leaf edges and
ribboned marker of red,
Made her realize as she stroked it, that is was only by God
was she to be led.

The delicate scent of candles that burnt so bright!
The artwork of mosaiced windows, sunlit-hued made her
feel heavenly light.

Her crystal, beaded rosary which transformed,the white marbled
walls, into a supernatural rainbow divine.
Grateful, to be in a school, that this memory still sings in her memory, sweet,alive and utterly, sublime!

Premium Member Shall I Dare Think of Him

Shall I dare think of him?

The darkest glistening eyes,inviting me to sin.

Profoundly lost, when soft sounds from his throat called.

Twas a full moon Spring midnight in Chicago.

My goose pimpled back caressed by warm brick walls.

Your hands on my hips,time carved,never erased.

A grin, wonderfully naughty, I will remember.

Closing my eyelids in a forever springtime night.

Yes, yes and yes...Then, no,no,and no.

His young butterfly, ever so softly moaned.

Enamored and lost in his twilight net.

Would that I could turn back the rigid times and be!

With you, your velvet-winged monarch butterfly.

Your most willing captive, most joyfully caught forever.

Come now...cast your net~my willing imprisonment.

Ingredients To Achieve A Dream - Panagiota Romios

Dream Recipe: Ingredients

Have a huge dream that seems unachievable!
Be fearless and put up pictures of that dream all over your house.
Invite your God to mentor you and  then close your ears.
As the world is replete with nay-sayers out to choke you with fear.

You think I am supercilious or dallying in a game?
No, this is so real, if you don't do this, you will find others or
circumstances to blame.

Most importantly, do go on a total news diet.
Total abstinence, please, oh please, just try it?

Read and listen to only things that uplift you heart.
Be very careful as what enters your mind, as all that
becomes you.

And if suffering from any illness, do the best you can to not let
it define you!
Don't let anyone ever steal your dream.
Then your life can be the Creme de la Creme!

Premium Member If Only Love

                  If Only Love

If only love were in our hearts!
And each person was indeed our sister or brother.
Not judged by how little or much they
have, that would be a calming salve.

If only love were in our hearts,
We would realize finally and for once,
That truly we are not colors of crayons
In a cardboard box.
But, by a Creator,of all shades made.
Like flowers near a spring, in a sunny glade.

If only love were in our hearts!
Gratefulness and sharing would rule each and every life.
Not destruction of any living sister or brother.
For we only get to be alive once, there is no other.

If only love were in our hearts!
We'd think about thee, not always me.
We wouldn't be in a such hurry to be number one.
What have we accomplished after all our coveted
trophies are won?

If only love were in our hearts!
As poets with compassion, we would comment far more.
Not read and run,praising only just winners,
And by-passing far humbler ones as weak poem quillers.

Ah...if only love were in our hearts!

Premium Member One Minute At a Time

Is all we have, just hours or years, a lie we believe.
We have no clarity as to what God will do.

So grab this minute given to you by God, you don't
need to be ruled by the terrorism of the mob.

The mob will shirk you, humiliate you, so do look for
the leading star in a crowd.

Like sheep they huddle in common mediocrity, adoring
each other,so slovenly.

Their eyes never raised to adore, just to gain points, they
do keep score!

Patting their own backs constantly, with no credit ever,
not for one second to God.

Indeed, in the arts and literature, many are eternally lost.

Refusing to realize, that the eternal loss of their souls is
their ultimate cost.

Be thou kindness, ruler in my heart!
Shake any evil from my quill.
No harsh words to depart,
To soil another poets will.

Let rays of sunshine beam from every line,
To brighten another poets heart.
My humble heart with theirs entwined,
In a gardenia scented poetic cart.

Oh, let me be humble at my best.
And see their talent in all its fine glory.
Put me to the Muses hardest test!
That I pen a poem, never to be sorry.

Above all, save me from my own pomposity.
For 'tis too easy, with pride to be bent.
Save me from thoughts of my own grandiosity.
Sitting alone in pride's lonesome tent.

Premium Member You Cannot Hide

Always Lamentable

You can run but you cannot hide!
For the face of God watches all
your fiddlings.
And is furious over baby killings.

You can write all the most
moving poetry you choose.
But you won't escape supporting
these pre-birth shreddings?

You really think you aren't
killing God's creations?
How diabolical to think human life
is but a doll, created by the Wal-Mart nation!

I urge all humans with a heart,
To allow these tiny ones, the chances you and I have.
To not be murdered, to live and
Be loved, instead.

Perhaps one day, be a poet
just like you.
To see the sun, moon and stars.
Insanity to save animals and trees.
But kill off humanity with such
joyous ease.

Premium Member Limburger Cheese Poetess

~~~~~
Sometimes I feel like a hunk of Limburger cheese!
Poets pass my poetry as if it had the great aroma
of unwashed toes and knees.
.
These poets are the ones who pretend to be my
PS friends?
But off in the distance, they live in Big Ego City,
just beyond the bend.
.
They avoid better poets than I,and tis no surprise!
Prancing about the soup with guile and smiling disguise!
.
So,it's a damaging, unkind game they play.
My peace...is knowing Karma is coming their way.
Premium Member A Poet's Prayer
A Poet's Prayer
God, I need to get back in touch with you!
My parchment and pen just won't do.
It's time for me to take a rest,
To lay my weary head, on your loving chest.
To remember the Creator, you!
To stop looking to humankind for my due.
They cannot possibly love me as you do!
You always send me the way to go, too!
So, the time has come to get my priorities straight.
After all, one day I will be at the Pearly Gates.
For now~I am burnt out totally.
Taking a sabbatical from poetry.
I will be commenting to some kind souls,
As much as I can.
You know, the friends, who you are!
Hope to be back soon.
There are still four pages of my poetry still here.
But am recouping my physical and emotional energy.
And hope to write another day.
Thank you, supporters, in every way!
With my love and respect,
                       "Golden Tapestry"
               One day, that San Francisco way
My, oh my, like a rushing waterfall
This hopeless heart did fall.
Tinkling chimes, clinking glasses, music from the East,
Like rushing romantic stanzas swept me off my dreamtime feet.
Some are impressed by great authors or thinkers.
Me...one minute glimpse of your eyes, mesmerizing, godlike winkers!
Will I ever be able to go just one day without thee?
You, the creator of our lives golden tapestry!
Nay, we live in a fragrant field of fairy dreams.
You, forever, my king divine, in our eternal, castle of rainbow schemes.
Play on, instruments of limitless love and light.
An honor to be so bound by love's delight.
                  Forever your~ Panagiota
