Shall I Dare Think of Him

Shall I dare think of him? The darkest glistening eyes, inviting me to sin. Profoundly lost, when soft sounds from his throat called. Twas a full moon Spring midnight in Chicago. My goose pimpled back caressed by warm brick walls. Your hands on my hips, time carved, never erased. A grin, wonderfully naughty, I will remember. Closing my eyelids in a forever springtime night. Yes, yes and yes...Then, no,no,and no. His young butterfly, ever so softly moaned. Enamored and lost in his twilight net. Would that I could turn back the rigid times and be! With you, your velvet-winged monarch butterfly. Your most willing captive, most joyfully caught forever. Come now...cast your net~my willing imprisonment. February 9, 2020 Midnight PST

Panagiota, Well now. So nice and warm, this poem's feeling. I'm so glad you dared. I used to deliver the newspaper near Chicago. But never at midnight, and never under a full moon. I will remember this poem the next time I look up. -Richard

Panagiota, Oh it's a very fine line indeed, the spice of life. But the pure of heart can always find a way to make our spirits sing. We all long for the same moon, maybe unfairly. But we rejoice in the moment, after all it's ours. -Richard

I am glad I dared also ~ what are we? Humans, after all. This is mild compared to some things I have read at the site. Even in limericks. No more delivery boys where I live! Just senior citizens in cars.. The boys were nicer! Nice of you to remember this, when you look up. Beats FAVINg it. I will FAV it because this is me for all the world to see. That's my joy in life. Be outstandingly real.I know people like that, and fully love them. Head-trippers don't move me. Moonlight Panagiota xx

Jenn~ we all have this side~)) I wrote more like this when I first got here as you might recall. I had forgotten how much I enjoy this. I get so lost in forms and sacrificed much of me in the process. PS is a clearinghouse to find yourself. At least, that's how it's been for me. Birthday soon. This year longer list of names to read as I celebrate at the Greek Restaurant. Saganaki-Panagiota -)) xx

Ah, Krish! I loved your comment. Some people carve their names on our hearts that read "forevermore..." and the passion sizzles through the decades. Read, if you will,"Since Feeling is First" by E.E. Cummings. Panagiota zz

Dearest Ann, You see the chambers of my heart and you cheer at the cacophony of sounds of my soul. We seem to be like children enjoying the swings as we reach the sky. You got the poem, right on the money. Amazing!!!! Panagiota xx
