Best Piggy Bank Poems
Save your money for a rainy day
Where I grew up, that was the way
As I aged, my days filled with sunshine
My piggy bank, no longer my shrine
My piggy bank gets fed,
At least once a week.
I do what my Momma said.
I push the coins in the top of his head.
Momma said, " You should feed your piggy every day!
So, you won't have to work and can play!"
I think she doesn't see,
What candy means to me!
No fat piggy for me.
Just a few coins to put away.
So, when I get old,
I can play all day!
Piggy please don't be sad.
I need the money really bad.
Got to pay my motor tax.
Get the government off my back.
You see I need to keep on track.
Bank will not give me a lend.
And I have no savings left to spend.
Now, close your eyes my little friend.
Knocking off your ceramic head.
candy, childhood, me, money, nostalgia, word play,
Jingle-jangle of the Piggy Bank Song ©
Oh for those sounds of jingle jangle tinkling notes
When an allowance of two dimes and a nickel
Was dropped in the belly of my bright pink piggy bank
Through a slot placed for coins between two cute ears
Right on top and mid center to the piggy’s pink rounded head
The shiny silver and coppers slid, but never any bright gold
Always making jingle sounds when given a shake up or two
Within the piggy’s round half-filled fat bright pink belly hold.
There were four teeth lost to the Tooth Fairy and she paid
Quarters each time left under my pillows magically placed
Those were special and remained for a long sit in my bank
I would take two dimes and a nickel each second Saturday
And pocket this cache and set out to buy a large box of Smarties
Twenty-five cents was the cost in those days for a family-size box
And all mine for a day or so until I was ‘pigged’ out from finishing the last Smarties that called unto me “Eat Me” and had my name inked on as well
But it is now not because I haven’t forgotten its tummy upset
That I think back when buying a box of family size Smarties today
But whenever I place coins in my pocket I am again reminded
Of that box of Smarties I had bought and the jingle jangle the coins made
Oh, and the thought of eating them all at one go that long passed time !

Your love piggy bank.
I need you to breathe your love into me;
I want to take you deep within.
You are the one who understands how to make me feel like a man;
You give me strength, you offer wisdom
And you have given me all you can.
So I thank you for every drop of effort you have exuded,
Because I don’t think without it,
We would ever have made it.
You try to make me happy, so I shall persevere;
I will do all I can to please you, every time you are near.
I will lift you up, when you fall;
I will open every single opportunity door.
I will do whatever it takes to make your life easier
And if you need me to, I will run through a brick wall.
I will keep all promises and every compliment that I give,
Will hopefully hit its target; let none of them miss.
I will shower you in kisses
And lay down a red carpet for you to walk upon;
I shall confess my feelings for you, to all who can hear,
Through my poetry and through my songs.
I will stand at your side
And protect you from any harm that may come your way;
I will be here if you need me and at your side I will stay.
In times of ill harvest, I will fill your love piggy bank
And when the good times have returned,
I will never take my love back; it is yours to have.
I have an endless amount of love in my hands
And my heart will never run out.
I am yours to love forever
And to you I will forever remain faithfully devout.

Good job to you, red piggy
I'll use you for good
My plan for you is big
For this Christmas.
Sorry, I'll butcher you now
I'll have to pay my loan debt
Anyway, I'll save you then after.
I have a dream to travel abroad
I tell myself, do everything to it
One day to make it happen when
If not I can make what I want
Come what may I still wish it
Is it impossible, no, I'll try
I keep on dreaming, walk, crawl
Lie in that direction far away
But I don't betray my dream well
So I got myself a piggy bank
I taped the lid of a shoe box
I put a day in every day I can
After all, on the box I wrote
"Hugh, to Maldives, here I come".
So funny the description I made
I put money in to start filling
Everyday, I'm crawling towards
My unpolished and unsure dream
Thinking of ways to put all the bills
I squeeze the box from time to time
How far it will be filled up I don't know
Looking at the window today by far
I can already imagine the plane
Landing in a hot nice country by sea
Slapping on the hot coastal sand
Sipping on a cold cocktail from where
I stand wearing this summer trunk beach
I came awaken this nostalgia realizing
I have to put again the bill to the box
To make this dream happen to reality.
