Save your money for a rainy day Where I grew up, that was the way As I aged, my days filled with sunshine My piggy bank, no longer my shrine

Gershon, congratulations on your POTD! Your "Ogden Nash" sense of humor always brightens my day as I reach for the stars through hardship! Reminds me of the old song "catch a falling star and put it in your pocket - save it for a rainy day!" Your poems are like that - stars to save for a rainy day! Congratulations on your POTD Gershon! Thrift is good, a quality which should be adhered to. However, a full piggy bank may not be enough for an umbrella for that rainy day!

That was our way growing up too. We had plenty of rainy days, so most of the time our piggy was empty. Lol. Congratulations Gershon on your POTD honors. This took me back to those childhood days. Thank you. Blessings xxoo
