Best Phrase Poems
True love
if you're lucky enough
to find and nurture it;
the ticking hand of the clock,
as eternal as a cascading waterfall.
True love,
if it pulls you out
of a bottomless abyss, weaves
a glittering tapestry of enchantment
that remains unbroken.
True love,
if gifted to you
by the heavenly father,
is endless; as everlasting as time itself;
a gift that keeps on giving!
True love,
if you can hold on to it,
never slips out of your grasp
for it is as sure as God's boundless
and limitless blessings!
True love,
if it unexpectedly sneaks up
and hits you in the pit of your soul,
may the happiness it brings you
be infinite, I fervently pray.

The rippled lake ebbs strangely silent
while memories cling to me---
there's not a tinge of you here anymore
and my fiery pulse now withers:
I roam upon the dunes of time
as current’s surge echoes like waves' blare,
your indifferent glance marks
a broken oath without even one phrase told...
How I feel heart's nudge
this mindful certainty allowing me
to grasp the quicksand of truth--
You are not coming back, ever,
that from instinct's light, I finally concede
when quelled language
numb as a crest unobtrusively waning
-----------------means a goodbye not uttered.

This is perhaps one of my poems which touched
me dearly when I wrote it. I felt the anguish
of not being able to speak what the heart needed
to express by using metaphors and symbolism.
With sincerity, I did not expect to get an HM. Thank you.
Parade of ideas in word or phrase
Onyx thoughts like chocolate cake
Eager emerald ears listen to hear
Teal thrill words like happy new year
Riding licorice lips like kente kite
Yellow words finger painting life!
I’ve a vast store of mem’ries about Chicago
as I’ve lived there for a couple of years
helping out in the parish of many immigrants,
especially Mexicans and Puerto Ricans.
I’ve made friends and a number of them
still continue to correspond by emails;
it’s like a treasure-trove of relationships -
where friendship makes a big difference.
I still remember when I get invitations
from people of other cultures in their homes;
their different cuisines and customs,
a great experience, a wealth of culture.
Chicago’s known for many attractions,
home of architecture with modern skyscraper
the neo-gothic Tribune Tower in the north
along with white Wrigley building in the city;
rich in architectural history, a sight to behold!
Its classic and modern architecture so far,
complements each other in visible terms,
with innovative ideas and creative designs
a special city with marvelous history.
Daniel Burnham, the famed architect,
designed the Merchandise Mart and others
significant to his life like ‘Paris on the Prairie’,
a tapestry of combined art of old and new.
Renowned architects with their respective styles
such as Frank Lloyd Wright and his prairie designs,
Louis Sullivan and his visible ornate facades
Ludwig Miles van der Rohe for modern styles.
Oh, Chicago, known also as the Windy City
so rich in history and its uniqueness too,
the time when a huge fire razed the city
destroyed lovely buildings in 1871.
Well, with the growing skyscrapers in the city
Chicago Spire, for instance, with its 150 stories
designed by a renowned architect Calatrava,
stands as the tallest building in North America.
With the so-called Trump Tower in its 92 stories
and then, Waterview Tower with its 90 stories,
Sears Tower, the skyscraper with its 110 stories,
that’s the only tallest among buildings in the U.S.
Oh well, this is Chicago in the landscape of beauty,
as a windy city, as well as a gateway to reality;
there’s meaning to trace back in history
there’s continuing progress towards this century.

Oh my god
An expression for emotion
A phrase for my astonishment and frustration
Oh my god
What a hell to live in
What's the future going to be
It seems hopeless
A phrase for the world too
What a man's destruction does to this world
What can be done
It seems nothing can be done
Oh my god
The world and I are asking for your help
An instant and urgent help
Oh my god
A phrase of astonishment or frustration
An instant outburst of emotion
A calling for help
A calling for God,the almighty
If you don't go with the flow,
Then they will kick you,
Out the do'.
If you work like you get no pay,
No one to you will say Hey.
If you work at your job,
As if you work for the Lord,
Even when others make it hard
In front of them you'll get
A huge reward
And they'll look like retards.
So when you punch
Your time card
Say thank You Lord
I could have been
Someone else.
When it's time for lunch
Say thank You Lord
Once more even if
Satan knocked at your do
Because he didn't munch
On your wealth.

Three minutes ******
How can something perceived special be illusive?
Reality check, does it really exist
East, West, and North to South they confess it
Early stages is like heaven, they say
Succumbing to their fleshly desire, they turn into monsters
Like monster rats wondering the trashy streets
Tormented by their cravings
The only thing in their minds
Is one round
They overlook repercussions
For as long as the craving is dominant
Unless the craving is curbed
That very moment the monster dies
Like ejaculation kills libido
Only the eyes will open
And see how dire is their circumstances
Users says the feeling is incredibly
Like nibbling on your old time crush
The first shot is awesome like Three minute ******
Drug Lord’s use the phrase to lure the inquisitive minds
To get them hooked and turn them into their slaves
Sober up, you with the inquisitive minds
Three Minutes of ****** in the drug world
It is a phrase that kills
And bind you with bad cravings
That will leave you with no hunger
For success
And hopelessness.
Live everyday like there’s no tomorrow,
Or your life will be filled with sorrow.

There is a phrase A Piece Of Cake
That goes against the ones I make
Not an easy task for me to do
Often end up with burnt mess or goo.
I start by reading all the instructions
Then gather items from recipe introduction
So far, so good, A Piece Of Cake
But time will tell when I finish this bake.
Next weigh out the ingredient things
Flour, sugar, butter and mixed string
Double take check, read list again
Silly old me it was a mixing machine.
Cream butter and sugar add in the flour
This took me well over an hour
Add the eggs, in fell some shell
Oops! oh dear, please don't tell.
Mixture placed equally in two lined tins
Popped into the oven for twenty mins
So good, so far, A Piece Of Cake
Time for a sit, a cup of tea break.
Taken out from the oven, did the knife test
I was so shocked this cake was the best
Put it all together, finished off my bake
Minor issues this time, A Piece Of Cake.
Some things in life can be easy to achieve
Harder for others or harder to believe
Never give up just keep trying to be
This is what this phrase means to me.
(And you'll soon have your Piece Of Cake like me.)

"Trigger Phrase"
A trigger phrase,
that’s what I need,
to clarify my thoughts and haze
a trigger phrase.
It was good up there,
that thought I had,
the one that meant a new
Poem for you
down here, or up there.
A trigger phrase
to listen to,
to build onto,
to fire from
The barrel of
a good and worthy thought
is gone
like the bullet from
a gun.
