To live forever like the phoenix;
To re-taste the process of birth;
From the cleansing flames, to rise
Knowing death is no end;
An eternal soul
On a journey
May just find
Supreme
Bliss.

Phoenix of Hope

Amid the white patches of that mauve gracious dusk,
I bask in an awaited dawn since I found myself from a lost world
to win over my innermost conflicts at last,
I remember the spirit that rejoiced my tattered hopes...

~~~~~~My Phoenix spirit guides me in~~~~~
That mighty river~~
       which flowed through rapids and ravines and
         streams that mingled into it or crossed a path just once,
           I remember the light which kept me sane...
The incessant cycle~~
         of nights and days,
          inconspicuous, anticipated, enchanting
            I remember hushed whispers transforming into soothing lullabies..
That steady rock~~
         which stands for ages facing all the odds
           to wait for a pleasant morning,
             I remember how it revived the withering moss...
That drop of rain~~
         which poured to rejuvenate life in grief,
           I remember how it soaked parched Earth in colors...
That winter breeze~~
        accompanied by frost, undesired yet gleaming with delight,
          I remember the wings that made it soar in the sky..
That lost alley in the woods~~
         which guided voyagers even when nobody liked to walk upon it,
           I remember the fire that guided a laid path...
That oak tree~~
         which grew from a sapling when storms tried to uproot it,
           I remember the courage that kept it upright...
The warrior who never gave up~~
         despite the battles lost in the journey,
           I remember the ashes that built her again...
The woman who found a life~~
         growing from a naive girl who learnt from her mistakes,
            I remember the dreams that revealed the mystery of love....
A light of faith, a ray of hope,
A drop of elixir, a soothing breeze
The fire that builds from ashes to rebirth
over lands to fly upon and rise
It guides me, lights me, loves me
While I rise to revive my hopes
I see a Phoenix engulfing my spirit.
 Requiem of a Phoenix
Silhouettes and storm clouds loom,
etched against a blackened sky
by bolts of electric blue
and ashen moon rays.
I mourn at dusk; the death of the light.
Languid flames dance
from tree to tree,
as a passing of the torch
to the sacrificial pyre.
I mourn by fire; the death of the light.
A tormented world in anguish
heaves a guttural howl,
which resonates through the darkness
carving deep channels in tangible silence.
I mourn in song; the death of the light.
Absently numb, I view it all
with a looming realization
that I was never made for this world
captive to flesh and desolation.
I mourn alone; the death of the light.
I surrender to my captivity.
I surrender to the agony.
I surrender to the storm and fire.
I embrace the void.
From the cinders of night
skyward I strain on bolts of electric blue
pursuing the tranquility of the moonlight.
Unqualified freedom granted by absolute loss
is a new captivity.
So mourn I at daybreak, the death of the night.
Like the Phoenix
Promises broken
Expectations crashed
Unfairness overflowing
My mind and chest
I need a new dream
To keep me going
I need light
to fulfill my chest
I'm shattered now
But I'll grab my pieces
And like the Phoenix
Reborn from the ashes
Cause i know i can
I've the strength in me
I just need this pain
To be in the past
Tomorrow will be
My new beginning
I'll dry my tears
I'll try my best
Cause I'm no quiter
That's not in me
Cause I'll fight
Until I reach success.
Phoenix
Hovering my sun scorched wings, I soar high
traversing thousands of mountain realms
In my own golden cage , an inferno blazing
my soul sizzles in orange-red yellow flames.
Flying in exalted passion, a trajectory of hope
yet when the night sky darkens, in tearful eyes
I am reduced to a smoldering pile of ashes.
A sleeping beauty in her  stillness  of Death
black abyss beyond sunset, a spark rekindles
O Sun, with you , I will awake tomorrow again.
Phoenix Defrosted
Given by the Sun God the good of the moon and some lucky stars
he sits full of fortune love and still in miraculous amazement under
the bright rays of southern soil soaking unbelievable kindness and
mutual compassion granted by soul searching and Higher Power
Love had been made before from a different fabric and the colours had
quietly faded to screaming silence frozen into glaciers’ clefts of darkness
Chances lead the way and permafrost was not forever when the mask
came off with all its distortions mangled ice melting into novel beginnings
It took him searching of feeling thought desire and some meeting of minds
revisiting gently rigorously what had appeared to be the only prospect
one of soundless demise and shattering unfeasible stagnant arrest in the
prison of domination wilted marred marriage depression and torment
Agony struck and it however ignited a passion unknown a mating and union
conjoined at hips and above for always and in all ways a heartfelt dance with
the Universe high and below inside and within a mango grooved delta of
Venus hot soothing lava engulfing new lovers’ poetic trees in poetry’s motion
Considering failure in cause and success in effect of landslides misfortune
bad luck and bad choices he is fortuitously graced now to thank destiny
constellation of karma kismet pure hard worked for chances where one thing
leads to another when the ashes are reshuffled and second fire is sublime
A New Breath From Despair - Phoenix Rising
"i can see the truth, in pain's honest form
a death rejoiced, a life unknown."
when at times, my despair grows high
i keep with me, an honest nights cry
when darkness closes, and the night is long
i remember the sun, and keep my faith strong
a new day has come, with its own peace of mind
and then i can believe, love isn't that hard to find
i look around and see, the rays of a brand new day
shining brightly all around me, a hope for me to say:
"i can see the peace, in truth's honest form
a life rejoiced, a love reborn."
Phoenix
strike a match.
sulfur grazes my nose.
the flames tickle
the surrounding sky.
internal screams,
questioning motives,
FIRE is born.
smoke infiltrates
my lung and throat.
coughing greets the
unwelcome visitor.
FIRE reaches out
touches my hair,
eliminating every strand.
lesions blister on my scalp,
neck, and arms.
FIRE leaving its ugly scar.
burning flesh and hair
is the aroma of the night.
FIRE engulfs me.
We are One.
but through the ashes,
I rise again.
Self-Destruction --
and I remember
FIRE is an old friend.
Phoenix
She is shadow on their screens
Yet it takes forever for her ghost to fade.
They cannot know her nor
give meaning to her metaphor.
She is alive and sees things clear today-
Further than planes fly,
And she hears her hoarse, new voice.
Their searchlights can't blind her
As they chase the darkness in the badlands
of her soul.
All their walls are fading light,
Death-throw shivers against riddles of
Foregone conclusions,
While an innocent sky in her eyes fills with
dreams of levitation.
It's not hard to fall behind when
Gravity's hands grope and drag,
Pull you down as
They preach prayers, chant myopic mantras
while watching women burn.
Turning her head she shuts her eyes and
crosses her fingers, not hoping but knowing
Their lies hold no power-
These parodies of men now falter in fear
As they watch her rise.
Premium Member Dragon and Phoenix
Were it not for Dragon and Phoenix; humankind could not survive. Dragon is our courage, among other strengths. Phoenix renews us when we feel beat or near giving up on life’s challenges; when we just can’t go any further, Phoenix flies us into the flames, dies and is reborn.  It is a different sort of strength from that provided by dragon.  Phoenix renews, regenerates us so, we can walk our life path again.  The wisdom of these two sages…unlimited.
Creatures ancient and
Wise are Phoenix and Dragon;
Their advice, priceless.
Greek folklore-a mighty Phoenix-a long living bird,           arise from the ashes.                                                      How many times have I arisen,                                        as a child-as an adult.                                                    Pain-disappointment-is part of life,                                   I ask why.                                                                     Arising from the ashes,                                                   the mighty Phoenix obtains new life.                               I too must arise,                                                             arise from the ashes to a new life.                                   Some legends say the mighty Phoenix dies,                    in a show of flames.                                                        Some say,                                                                     it dies before being reborn.                                             I have walked through the fire,                                        life has been a fiery one.                                                                Like the mighty Phoenix,                                                 I have come through it all-arise.
The Phoenix
The days are gone
And the place is dry
Nothin good was done
There's even no fly
Dreams were totally shattered
And silence filled the place
All wishes were scattered
Around the fool's face
They came in a sheep's mask
Pretending to be helpful
They only came to complete a task
And left no soul restful
Unfortunately they weren't aware of a living soul
It died and lived again, making their lives a foul
Phoenix
Knowing me now, I take the central target
No matter what it seems that I am lost
I throw away what could maybe save me
I break apart when I need to stand
If I am so much to me, why must I fall down?
To over-think what comes, I’m full of lies
But this self aggression is what I was raised on
Without depression I feel that I’d be gone
With hopes of grandeur and a hope obsession
With lies built up as though there’s no such thing
With hate affliction and a love addiction
I’d be dead before I’d even smiled
Knowing you now and my eyes wide open
I am the phoenix and I’ll take you down
For within this anger lies a desperate child
No matter what he knows he can’t be saved
Despair is over and his dreams forsaken
The ashes rise now and the blame’s on you
When I wake without the mask of laughter
I will scream and I will burn you down
My judge will die now and all words forgotten
I am fire in its purity
Even if you see me I’ll tear your eyes up
Burn you out with no sincerity
I’ll reach your mind and I’ll make it blind now
I’ll find a way to make you hate yourself
I am all of you and more
I’ve seen through everything before
What you feel will gather in me
And with this I will bring you down
I am fear and I am the helpless
If I live, my goals are far too dark
With self destruction and a fading mask now
Give me ears and I will avenge
The self conflictions that avert my eyes here
They’re too far gone now to ever stop
So give me anger and I know I’ll smile
Feed the phoenix and you will get burnt
