Phoenix

Hovering my sun scorched wings, I soar high traversing thousands of mountain realms In my own golden cage , an inferno blazing my soul sizzles in orange-red yellow flames. Flying in exalted passion, a trajectory of hope yet when the night sky darkens, in tearful eyes I am reduced to a smoldering pile of ashes. A sleeping beauty in her stillness of Death black abyss beyond sunset, a spark rekindles O Sun, with you , I will awake tomorrow again. 27th July 2020 Sponsor Tania Kitchin Contest Name I am a Bird - Personification

Wow, what an amazing poem. I can see how it won... and of course it looks good on the page with equal length lines. Nice, tight, and profound. You wrote to the theme so well!
