Arise Mighty Phoenix

Greek folklore-a mighty Phoenix-a long living bird,           arise from the ashes.                                                      How many times have I arisen,                                        as a child-as an adult.                                                    Pain-disappointment-is part of life,                                   I ask why.                                                                     Arising from the ashes,                                                  the mighty Phoenix obtains new life.                               I too must arise,                                                             arise from the ashes to a new life.                                   Some legends say the mighty Phoenix dies,                    in a show of flames.                                                        Some say,                                                                     it dies before being reborn.                                             I have walked through the fire,                                        life has been a fiery one.                                  Like the mighty Phoenix,                                                 I have come through it all-arise.  Date Written:3/20/2021
