Fading Lucidity

Dwindling minds
breeds clarity,
exhaling paved trepidation,
as gilded moon tides
shadow my fading lucidity.

Streets Are Paved With Gold

The streets of Pompeii
All pave with gold

Listen to the wind,
Hear your soul

The Leaf-Paved Path

Toddlers played in dry sand
Hot sun made each cheek red
Ellen was their likable friend
Long before winter came
Enjoyed evenings with them
Always refusing to rest
Fireflies were a child's game
Puppies chased them with haste
Aunt Lily was often bitten by bugs smelling perfume
Vera told her not to scratch
Eddy laughed hard as Mitch
Daniel loved to startle the busy bees
People stopped to watch the comedy of pet peeves
Across the leaf-paved path of ripe strawberries
Torrents washed away all the pretty greens
Hurricane Isaac made them flee quicker than thieves

Paved Jungle

We are living in such a paved jungle!
There are miles of concrete and sidewalks
There are skylights and many skyscrapers,
but we really have to pay attention!
At any corner are waiting: snakes, lions and tigers.
Oh poor walker, can't really enjoy peace and hope ...
It is just the pursuit of happiness!
It's just a struggle for better!
There is just one solution to this crisis,
to eradicate the beasts of our society
and then transform it in a paved garden.
Doing so, the peace and hope will settle in forever.

Walking Streets Paved With Nameless Stones

I walk a street paved with nameless stones
shadows of racing strangers I often meet
are empty suits covering faceless bones
Dark spirits that never dare to greet
my hello with anything but angry tones

Perhaps upon seeing my face filled with grief
they remember harm they too have caused
and lives they ended agonizingly brief
Yet once one of them slowed and paused
then danced a jolly jig to my great relief

Who can fathom the mysteries so deep
or lost souls wandering endless streets
with the many dark secrets they keep
Was not I racing on with soulless beats
seeking reprieve while too scared to weep

My Path Paved By Pedals

shrubby hills
to right
a world of ocean
to left
cranking pedals
smooth my trail,

can't hear anything,

not even conscious.
wind surfaces to the drum

pedals push
and push while the
ocean rocks and rolls

blue is my serenity,
wind is my savior,
pedals are angelic

The Newly Paved Road

with a few little nicks and scratches
i walk on to another passion
like switching from the dirt road to the newly paved one
i hold my head up high and realize that the pain wont last
cause i think its already passed
so then i look down this road and look from the new to old
then turn my back with a heart set for gold
to warm the heart that once was so cold
but down this road is this gold and the warmth i want
traveling down the newly paved road

A Well-Paved and Smooth Road

M-arch thirtieth day turns fine,
A-fter the cold chill has gone;
R-ain and clouds have turned
I-nto a warm morning sun.
S-hadows pass from view as the darkness turns into light;
H-aze has just faded when the dawn is shining bright.

M-ist is now nowhere to find,
O-ne clear day I've seen;
R-adiance from the wide sky
I-dentifies the beautiful scene.
L-onely twilight has ceased,
L-ong night is also over;
A-nother breeze brings joy while I feel the fresh touch of air.

L-ife is truly pain-fraught,
E-ven if the best has been done;
R-ough road though may turn
I-nto a well-paved and smooth
O-ne.

Premium Member The Unsupervised Stop Sign

Who says stop? Road signs, yes. But those who don’t like what is happening. The abused, the neglected, the rejected. Often ladies who don’t want to be fondled by the men they’ve accepted as dates or trysts. There are those that say stop when the drink is being filled and others who express their prohibitive word – STOP – when they’ve finally heard all the bellowing they can take for one round between them and a spouse, a sibling or a child. Stop can mean that a road, whether paved, dirt or vindictive, has finally come to an end and this is where the rubber meets the pavement, where the dog-eared finish meets the truth, where the lifetime meets with its fate and even, possibly, when the heart meets its beat and together, two are merged as another sign, pointing one way. STOP means wait, forget it, pause for just a bit. But, mostly STOP means to bar the way so that no one can say you came to a rolling stop because you know, without a doubt, you absolutely stopped before continuing on your way, discovering the direction of your destiny, your fate.

Just a sign to stop
Unsupervised it is not
Sojourn from the start

Premium Member Faith Paved Road

Too much pain wrestles in my dark,
forcing limps that stifle my spark.
Trekking life's long and winding road,
I seek You for a faith reload.
Praising Your road paved with truth's seed,
I will find where pain does recede.

Paved In Stone

Forty years of bad road,
  a path of broken glass

Potholed memories line my thoughts,
  devil waiting fast

Daring me—“Retrace your steps,
  your quickest way back home”

Forty years of shattered dreams,
  —the future paved in stone

Premium Member Walking Barefoot There's No Need For Shoes Walking On the Streets Paved With Gold In God's Glory-

Family, there are these quaint elder travelers
Not? Yet a hundred years old,
they've been gone from on top of this Earth
Now they're walking streets of gold
So now these travelers ain't got no shoes
And yet they got spirit and heart
For these travelers no plans no man and yet they carry your heart
So I'm a singing some are praising
Some preaching speaking shouting and rejoicing
Some are dancing with the wind
These old saints just won't quit
Cuz! they ain't got no good sense
For you see the feet are never dirty
And yes they have no shoes
Cause where there at no need for them
They now stand and walk on Holy Ground
Yepum! Those there alive and well walking them streets of gold
Some think they're dead they died
But yet they're walking on the promise side
They're marching O Lord have mercy they be Marching on streets of gold
Hallelujah they walk in gloryside
These are the travelers my ancestors who fought and loved now died
They yet live walking streets of Glory
Walking with the Lord and God the Father and our past loved ones in heaven
Walking Barefoot no need for shoe on the streets so paved with gold
This is what my mom told me about
Her family's role now I ain't disappointed but I am grateful
For they have paved the way
Yes they paved the way
yes they have a grave but their body ain't there
You see some have come and stayed in glory
maybe if you have went to hell
And those yet living up and Heaven they wave they walk on
Marching Hallelujah trail Glory waving hands and they hail Father God forever praise
As they walk on they walk the streets of gold Hallelujah always
yet to those past slaves now they
Walk on in freedoms glory
No longer walking in the dirt dust and atop of cobblestones
WALKING BAREFOOT NO NEED FOR SHOES ON THE STREETS SO PAVE WITH GOLD IN GODS GLORY

This Paradise Will Not Be Paved

kissing the underbelly of a white cloud
becoming perfectly serene in adequate comfort
thinking about you as you keep me warm by continuing to prove me wrong
i let too many things go, but this paradise will not be paved

rubbing the gaseous belly of a butterscotch bunny
enjoying the stunning stillness of actually being settled
thinking about you as you cool me off by continuing to prove me wrong
i let too many things go, but this paradise will not be paved

making my feeble attempt to skate away on a riveting river
praising the Lord for the clear vision of yet another perfectly peaceful day
thinking about you as you calm me down by constantly uplifting my spirits with surefire guarantees
i let too many things go, but this paradise will not be paved

Thank God I Found You....AMEN....

Gold-Paved Path

G-old-paved path in heaven
I-s in store for the flock;
G-lorify the Lord God,
I-n spite of the block.

B-elieve in the gold-paved path,
A-im at the blissful abode;
R-each the promised paradise,
C-herish the glorious road.
E-verlasting gold-paved path
L-ets you think of true treasure;
L-ife eternal is priceless,
A-s it brings pure pleasure.
N-o more tears and pain, you will be safe from God's wrath;
O-ctober twelfth Thursday, hope for the gold-paved path.
