Best Outlasting Poems
Charcoal black tip of arrowhead,
among these ancient, stones - stained red
Heartbeats share rhythms of ghostly drums..
Winds carry haunting, chanting hums
I feel your blood, flow here with mine,
outlasting, even decaying time
I've been told the stories, told to you,
I know we're just spirits, passing through
When thunder, shakes awake the night,
I vision warriors by firelight
Their voices echo, around mountain's soul,
while moon and stars watch us below
Respect the sky, and mother earth,
borrow the beauty, from time of birth
Then give in death peacefully
yourself, to rest eternally
Among these ancient, stones - stained red,
my mirror reflects traces, of those long...........
remembered.......

'Twas pain that taught my heart to bleed
for sorrows of another...
then kept my deepest heartfelt needs
in silence to serve a buffer
For in the cutting vein of love
I saw a darkness unto death
with eyes of a child had seen enough
true love must stand the test
Such is the pain too grievous to mourn
speaking secrets craved by the heart
to give another the power with which
to tear your soul apart
I've known the anguish of abandonment
and fled inflictions sting
I have faced the tyrants cruel mismanagement
yet held my soul with wings
Of all the wisdom borne by age
no greater truth can be gave
the soul is filled in the passing of days
In the gaze of passions eyes and a lovers display
So brash can be those memories scorned
but fade they will like pages torn
Tis a hand un-held, a tear un-brushed
hearts crushed when the unspoken's not enough
Let slip not away the music-less dance
the kisses that tremor ones breath
miss not the chance for that touch of romance
what weight hath love unexpressed?
No, it's not the passing wounds
those flukes which plague ones journey
that leave devout all faith renounced
and deem sweet love unworthy
Perhaps the greatest fear is that
O're years in friendships tit for tat
passed will be what faith once lacked
and find such love not looking back
In the blink of an eye the magic could subside
to pang with hunger for the love of your life
to know from hurt you cannot hide
to trust is more than you realize
So if I've tested the depths of devotion
what storms your sails could bear
'twas solely because my love is only
of any value unless it is shared
Planned were not the trials endured
yet it's what it took for my heart to ensure
that love will bravely stand the test of time
stronger than chance, more made by design
And so to you I give in kind
holding out for the dreams, in my heart, in my mind
to trust at some blessed point will find
That breathless kiss will dance on the lips
which linger between yours and mine.
A love outlasting infinity
stumbling into guarded arms
the simplest picture of serendipity
by a childish wish on a sky full of stars

Destiny has tethered your heart to mine,
not by chance circumstance, but by design.
The echoes of lives past connect our souls,
guiding fated footsteps toward shared goals.
Two souls, through love, morph into one being;
while our anxieties are sent fleeing.
I can't imagine myself without you;
for you're my past, present, and future too.
Your scent sweetens my memories and dreams
while silencing the cries of silent screams.
You harbor an insatiable desire,
igniting passion's flame; you're the fire.
You are my muse, my hope, and my best friend,
forever soulmates, do not fear the end.
We'll always find each other, you and I;
our love, outlasting the stars in the sky.

SINLESS EYES
Nine solid months unto her womb is he,
breathing and heartbeat they do as one.
Carrying him safely, his husband sees,
providing food and money his daily home run
'til the day his son pleas to be out in the sun.
(always then his aim is to be a good guy)
Though it will take a long long time, his son--
sinless eyes, no smiles, when the children cry...
His son grew then unto the world he spree
where he is exposed to gases, bombs and gun.
Along the streets, he and others learn a key--
that learning curve adhere but some remains undone.
Shoulders bruised, torn, from bearing a tonne,
some lost souls wander, their life gone awry--
falling short to wonder later how it all began,
sinless eyes, no smiles, when the children cry...
Can later bestow some better decree,
outlasting evil by following a model-- a nun?
On returning to God by following thee,
from this day, forward, man shall never shun
to battles that last even 'til midnight sun.
Answers possessed on the strings of whys
and never again to ask for a hired gun.
Sinless eyes, no smiles, when the children cry...
Darkness is beaten, light has won!
Wisdom now reached, cocooning the guy,
a new day now welcomes another son
sinless eyes, no smiles, when the children cry...

Edmund Clerihew Bentley,
practiced his craft so intently.
This clever creation still echoes in halls,
outlasting his pricey education at St. Paul’s.
When I read the WIKI'd the 411 on Bentley, I as enthralled. His "HEW" on Sir James Dewar is a classic.

Ring Out, Wild Bells, to the Wild Sky
(Ode to Alfred Lord Tennyson)
Fair son of England whom I write
of saw not well; thus short of sight,
formed lines that in his head would lie.
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild Sky.
Those lines (deep thoughts) - once written down -
rang out like church bells through a town
or birds, which to the heavens fly.
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky.
Yes, lofty verse and lyric sound
could touch those rooted to the ground
and make a nation’s royalty sigh!
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky.
Victorian inside his soul,
he also played a modern role -
He saw man’s plight and questioned why.
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky.
Poet Laureate too was he
who penned a famous elegy
for his young friend so young to die:
“Ring Out, Wild Bells” (to the wild sky)
By old age, he had crushed his fears,
outlasting many poet peers.
To honor him, I can but try. . .
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky.

Innocence opens your heart to pain;
confronting answers to questions asked.
And deceit nearly drives you insane;
when lies and betrayals are unmasked.
Though passion's bloom wilts on the floor,
hope resonates in your broken heart.
And love urges you on even more,
nudging you to give trust a fresh start.
When soulmates share a duality,
love is eternal, outlasting time.
And arousing sexuality,
such intimate feelings feel sublime.
Love fuels fantasies, hopes, and dreams
as feelings entwine within a kiss.
And instantly stifling silent screams;
it beckons with the promise of bliss.
When doubt disappears without a trace,
Exaltation fuels those in love.
And palpitating hearts start to race;
much like the beating wings of a dove.

Now it’s about time for all to be known
What’s always been there are facts to be shown
Eternal at last it embraces all
And with composure it stands by on call
Time is the measure of all things bourn
Creating a past & a future unknown
Always allowing for all things to grow
Giving good reason for us to all know
Season through season through thick & through thin
Time is permissive so accommodating
Given the choice you have to admire
Time has the answers for all to transpire
Free of all worry step into the now
Now known of the past is even the how
So given more time I’m daring to think
We’ll know what’s of worth & what is just fink
Time is the healer doctor & cure
Same for the wholesome as the ragged & poor
Outlasting each thing it makes its own rules
Constructing this world all with its own tools
Time is eternal & moving with pace
Given a moment it makes its own space
Time is forgiving of all the things wrong
All of the evils forgotten so long
While going forward it teaches us right
How to make better each day & each night
If to be honest everything’s to last
Then time is the future present & past
Mild in its manner instructive & fair
If only we’d listened we’d have had to hear
As time & again what’s surely in place
Is all who are here are in the ‘rat-race’.

THREE IN ONE
Fortified towering walls surround
persons running through and fro
stature small and little feeble
only a fig tree available for him
yet, he ran too.
Fast!
climbing the tree with all his might
just to have a glimpse of this
wonderful man: our God- Jesus Christ..
who in thousand sunsets and thousand sunrises
succeeded to win hearts and disciples...
Walking upon seesaw waves
He invited him
Unafraid, He silence the raging storm
He appease them
calming the wandering spirit
He embraces each one with light
Engulfing beyond approach
outlasting borders reproach
His popularity a thousand years
His million miles echo healing aches
a soothing breeze resurrecting hope
yet, some were threatened
scared to be thundered
as cornerstones
He shook and changed
mistaken fate and faith bender
They took Him.
Placed Him in trial
Flicking hurt - Inflicting pain.
Lashing jolts of torture down to the bone.
Each bang of the axe nailing Him tight.
So excruciating
allowing helplessly stairs of His death.
Lifted high after the third day.
Blooming sun, welcomed His life back.
As cloud carpet and choir of angels
enthroned Him high.
Leaving His Holy Spirit behind.
His Holy Spirit present
each daylight smile and nightfall frown
waiting. waiting. waiting for us - people.
Our God whose presence is present everywhere.
Recognizable in the most natural flower.
Bathing us strength through tornado of trials.
Showering us honey warmth happy sunbeams.
A seedling green leaf in a rocky dry mountain.
The trembling notes folded within rhymes and psalms.
The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit in one.

When she hides behind her lipstick, she seems so fearless to sight. She's confident, she's strong, filled with unbearable might. She has a fight within her. She can stand up to almost anything and soar above the trees, looking down upon the buzzing of the bees. When she hides behide her lipstick, you couldn't dare tare her down. She's proud, her caliber is loud, she's radiant now. She's like a ray of sunshine in the dark, a star among the galaxy. She is set apart. To hold her place in a system so vast, outlasting the very last. She's profoundly here and precariously dear to all that she's knows. She's a lover, a friend, a mother of few, a daughter, a sister to sisters, with a life story untold. So she writes down her history, marking the places most dear to the, no one knowing her next destiny. But at night, deep in the late hour, when her lipstick is worn off, PAIN consumes her. She lay quietly in bed with a hidden head. She finds strength to wipe away her tears that fall from her eyes and say a prayer, wishing for another night, hoping tomorrow will be alright. How weak she seems now that her lipstick is been wiped away, crying like a dog that has been lost, a child gone astray, like a lover lost at sea, never to return to me. She's not that lady you would know in the daytime filled with confidence at night wondering where she went. Without her lipstick you wouldn't even know her, a stranger amongst us.

Yours..is the most beautiful smile,
the source of all my inspirations;
that star never fading, always outshining others...
And from it joy is emanated;
with the speed of a shooting star,
to earth it falls, for me to catch it without harm...
Mona Lisa may have the most perfect smile,
but yours is the densest and fondest;
so fresh and alive...a blooming flower awaiting light...
The Italian Renaissance's painters and poets could not have imagined
a beauty so delicate, inspiring and pure existing in my time;
Dante's passion for Beatrice turning into deprivation and desire...
What my vision beholds is unexplainably mysterious and yet simple,
purity and innocence reflecting your soul's mirror to make me gaze deeper;
entrust all your thoughts and feelings to me, and I will be your keeper...
Yours...is the rarest and most attractive smile,
and on it unblemished love can be built, a fortress outlasting time;
unafraid, share it with me to explore the wonders of this universe...

When love is weighed against a precious stone,
The diamond surely earns its flawless boast.
As cruel time eats flesh and powders bone,
The rock retains one form, outlasting most.
While love alone won’t even tip the scale,
The crowning jewels could own the world;
While faith and loyalty can often fail,
The purity of gems can’t be unfurled.
Keeping love alive is an endeavor,
While a diamond’s luster never teeters.
Everyone knows diamonds are forever
Yet fragility makes love much sweeter.
White diamonds are reduced to common sand
While slipping in between my sweetheart's hands.

Sonnet
Dad, the pangs of sorrows
Pierced my Mom ceaselessly
Like arrows in her heart,
Caring and innocent,
The day you left, years back,
On your eternal journey
Leaving us all behind.
So much she loved you
She knew not to overcome
The grief that had laid her siege.
Marked by her mourning
That outlasted the time
I have no words to tell you
The anguish that was hers
All her life after your depart.
The day you left us
Had seen her life come apart;
Torn in shreds and pieces,
She saw the polar winter darkness
Set in the plains of her heart.
The life had caved in,
As the jaws of sorrow opened up
To engulf her alive
In their depthlessness unseen.
The violence of pain and shock
That shook my mother’s life
Had struck me dumb
As she wept over
For days, months and years,
In a soul rending way;
Tears running in cascades
Over her cheeks, day and night,
She knew not how to stop,
As all the desire to live
Had ebbed out from her.
Forty years have gone by
Since that fateful day;
My mother has also left us
To join you in eternal peace.
Still, my heart bleeds
As I remember
The day of your depart
And the fountain of agony
Sprung out of my mother's heart,
To come dry
Only at her depart.
Standing alone in my thoughts
And in my grief, I pay homage
To the true love that was theirs
To have let my mother keep alight
The candle of her love
That outlasting the time
She had lit for my father
Relentlessly all these years.
