Lipstick
When she hides behind her lipstick, she seems so fearless to sight. She's confident, she's strong, filled with unbearable might. She has a fight within her. She can stand up to almost anything and soar above the trees, looking down upon the buzzing of the bees. When she hides behide her lipstick, you couldn't dare tare her down. She's proud, her caliber is loud, she's radiant now. She's like a ray of sunshine in the dark, a star among the galaxy. She is set apart. To hold her place in a system so vast, outlasting the very last. She's profoundly here and precariously dear to all that she's knows. She's a lover, a friend, a mother of few, a daughter, a sister to sisters, with a life story untold. So she writes down her history, marking the places most dear to the, no one knowing her next destiny. But at night, deep in the late hour, when her lipstick is worn off, PAIN consumes her. She lay quietly in bed with a hidden head. She finds strength to wipe away her tears that fall from her eyes and say a prayer, wishing for another night, hoping tomorrow will be alright. How weak she seems now that her lipstick is been wiped away, crying like a dog that has been lost, a child gone astray, like a lover lost at sea, never to return to me. She's not that lady you would know in the daytime filled with confidence at night wondering where she went. Without her lipstick you wouldn't even know her, a stranger amongst us.
