One in a million’s not enough
To say what he meant to me.
One from out of the whole wide world
That is what the theme should be.

He was my son, my only son,
The first of my children three.
I knew that I was truly blessed
When God sent him down to me.

He was born hungry so he cried
For a bit those first few days,
Until his mother understood
The feeding schedule maze.

Once his hunger was satisfied
And he had begun to grow
No sweeter child has ever lived
Nor delightful one to know.

His complexion would put to shame
Any model’s of the day,
His nature, that of an angel,
Was his for a lifelong stay.

He welcomed first little sister
When he turned the age of two.
No jealously did he display
And he knew to be gentle too.

He had pets and he treated them
With great tenderness and care.
If anyone or thing was hurting
My son was the first one there.

His elementary teacher said,
When trouble brewed on school ground,
My son found the way to fix it
If a fair fix could be found.

He had a very brilliant mind.
He read books to make him think.
If we had a knotty problem
He’d be first to fix the kink.

He gave measure for full measure
And then gave just a bit more
When dealing with his fellowman
Whether they were rich or poor.

He loved this world we all live in
And could always find a way
To find enjoyment in it.
He made the best of every day.

He brought me no pain or sorrow,
But filled my heart with pride
And happy to be his mother
Until the sad day he died.

God sent His angels down for him,
Just before he turned fifty-six.
He’d been born with a heart problem
Even my bright son couldn’t fix.

She was much more than a beautiful Mother
Never desired to be anything other
Her family became her first priority
Her gift for teaching, she shared in charity

When times grew hard and Papa didn’t work
She never complained, but became the “cork”
Inventing ways to ease his strain
Baking, tutoring, her clever ways to stop the drain

My mind holds these snapshots of childhood days
My heart bears a journal of words she’d say
'Always remember that sacrifice is love.’
One in a Million, My Mama above!

(7/5 Trochee Form)

Jenny is the sister who
came right after me.
And she’s always suffered from
insecurity.

Very shy, she did not date
even once in school.
and I couldn’t fathom why
since my sister’s cool!

Things mechanical, she can
figure out with ease.
And she loves good puzzles that
give her brain a tease!

Nurturing, she’s made for her
family, a home.
Yet she feels inferior
she can’t write a poem!

Generous and loyal too,
sensitive and kind;
always telling me how much
she admires my mind.

One in a million sister
gives support to me.
Jenny needs to see she’s all
God meant her to be.

One In a Million

One in a million, gazillion, bazillion
Worth more than gold dollars a trillion or a billion –
You are my beacon, a Christian, love driven.
No heathen, no herdsman, no huntsman or felon.
No elfin, no ermine, no coward or chicken.
No Klansman, no demon with madman's affliction.
No Gremlin, no goblin no devil dare action.
No draftsman, no doorman, no footman in fashion.
No henchman, no lynch man, no hack man or hangman.
No plowman, no pressman, no herdsman or ranch-man.
No oarsman from Dublin, or coachman from Britain.
No Cajun, no Haitian, no Frenchman, not Latin.
Not even a Martian with earthly transactions.
My hearts guiding light, my soul's satisfaction,
I know your great love by your kindness in action.
You read every thought and broaden my smile.
You stand close beside me mile after mile.
No hardship that comes can tear our love down.
Nor turn your demeanor into an endless frown.
Brought together by fate, marriage became our ensign.
We walk together on a straight and narrow line.
You are my fortune, my gladdening in famine.
My almsman, my sweetheart, you loved my tears away.
My one in a million, gazillion, bazillion
I thank God everyday that you came my way.
A gazillion, bazillion, and trillion thanks I send to you.
I promise that my love will never say adieu.
My Norwegian, I love you.

One In a Million

I would like to take a moment,
as theres something I must do,
To show appreciation,
and a love thats strong and true,
for a very special person,
who I couldnt live without,
a lady who brings warmth and light,
whenever shes about.

The importance of this woman,
cant be told with words alone,
but the words that are not spoken,
in my mind are set in stone,
Shes the glue that holds together,
All the pieces of my life,
A mother like no other,
A treasure of a wife.

I count my blessings every day,
I know luck is on my side,
To have this special woman,
AS my mother and my guide,
my teacher and protector,
Never thinking of herself,
Doing everything to guarantee,
My happiness and health.

My debt to her is endless,
As shes done so much for me,
This small token of affection,
Is so everyone can see,
Easily unnoticed,
In the bustle of the crowd,
A woman so amazing,
Its no wonder im so proud.

Picture this: you make a call
To straighten out a bill.
Of course, what you expect’s a battle
Being fought uphill.

Instead, you get dear Caroline
Who listens and who hears,
Which you have not experienced
In many, many years.

She takes your information down
And keeps you on the line.
You aren’t put on hold
Or disconnected by design.

She does a little research
‘Cause she really wants to solve
What the problem is, no matter who
Or what it does involve.

She tracks down radiology
And gets them on the phone –
(A 3-way call!) explaining
In a calm and measured tone.

I’m blown away to learn that such
A person still exists.
For those of you whose skepticism
Naturally persists…

I understand your reasons
For the playing field is bleak
But with luck you may find Caroline,
An agent quite unique!

One In a Million

I remembered.......................
When he confronted me to express his feelings
I looked down on him,I think he is not capable because I don't have any feelings
For him, when I first wanted to give my heart
I was afraid, because I don't want to get hurt
For I have never been in love
For I heard many people say there is no true love
The preamble to our love
I said in my mind what will be the outcome of his love
Days and months passed by, I start to feel the same for him
He made me know what is love
He taught me true love still exist
He is one in a million

One in a million, a rare gem to find,
A heart so pure, so gentle and kind.
A soul that shines bright, like a star in the sky,
A spirit so free, soaring high up high.

With love so abundant, and compassion so deep,
A spirit that touches, hearts of those it meets.
A smile that glows, warming all those around,
A joy that abounds, lifting hearts off the ground.

One in a million, a true work of art,
A masterpiece crafted, from the depths of the heart.
A soul that inspires, and encourages us all,
To love more, give more, and follow our call.

So let us cherish, this precious gift,
And strive to live, with a heart that uplifts.
For we too, can be one in a million,
A light in the darkness, a ray of hope to all women and men.

Man of my dreams: my pair, my love team
Where have you been? my SPECIFIC dream
Winner it seems, my God blessed scheme
One in a million, once in a lifetime

With turns and breaks: it's measurable
Easy or hard time, it has been bearable
Prayers to God: nothing is possible
One in a million, once in a lifetime

Soon I'll be thirty, wise guy walk by
Shooting me on bull's eye, also tongue tied
ATTAINABLE mind's eyes, I'll give the eye
One in a million, once in a lifetime

Uncaring what others say, I am optimistic
Match made in heaven, a could be realistic
Altruistic stars and moon on synergistic
One in a million, once in a lifetime

Perfect in time, bells ring on one rhyme
Head over heels love and old as the hills
Our heart's commitment, sealed to still
One in a million, once in a lifetime

One In a Million

If i should ever write a heart
Lodging love poem
I will first of all check the form,
I won't even blink
Or to have my heart sink,
I will only cool...then sit and think
About the love i drink.
Oh! sweet captivating love like milk,
The very one, one in a million...
If i should heartily adore someone,
To soulfully kiss anyone,
Or to stick to an opinion,
Then is to the one we're in a union.
She has saturated me with love
Moisture like ocean,
My one in a million.....

Skeptics are shrieking
You are one of a million;
Ignore their voices
When you find your true calling
You are one in a million

One In a Million

The tiny being is gliding through the air,
swirling, dancing, stretching it's limbs,
" Look at me, watch what I can do.
I am all glittery and shiny.
Look at me float and twirl."

Slowly it is descending lower and lower.
"Where am I going?
What is this place?
It is all white, is it a magic place?"

Finally it comes to a stop on the branch
of a cedar tree.
It settles down and looks around,
filled with curiosity.

"This is a quiet place, peaceful and calm.
I see many more trees like this one.
I see a meadow, white and clean,
shiny and pristine.
I like it here!"

The little snowflake smiles.

A train of numerous cabins
spreading its greasy doors for millions to come in
then journey begins from the first emitted smoke
controlled by a captain not needing any experience
moving in rails with too many diversions.

It contains people of similar generation
and heading towards the same destination;
its speed goes high, engine gets heated
giving out temperatures most loved
by this mobile and energetic travelers.

Chaos reigns, turbulence emerges,
seemingly a creation of competition,
causing a travel so uneasy.
All these inevitably happening,
despite all heading towards the same stop.

Station after station, the final is reached.
After three quarters of a year
and only but one unusual passenger exits.
Nevertheless, expectant waiters still rejoice
because nature has taken its cause.

You'Re One In a Million

Looking up in the sky
Nothing beats the beauty
The beauty that is up there
Looking at the stars
The moon and the sun
Nature on it's best
beauty that even words failed to explain
I've seen it before, even today
I've seen many pretty things on earth
nothing beats the beauty of those up there
But only one such beauty have I seen in you
Not only your physical being
But your soul as well
You're one in a million
Natural and beautiful
You're my light in the darkness
My star amongst the stars
You're the place I call home
You're my moonlight sky
The sounds of your voice
Differ not with those of river water
river water flowing from East to west
It sound so sweet like those of a water fall
You're so natural one can tell
You're one in a million
Nature on its best
A natural human being
If East may one day meet West
You will be the course of it
You're one in a million.
I once asked myself
"Does the princess of my heart exist? "
Whenever I ask myself this,
You're the one popping up into my mind.
You're my African Queen
You're a true nature
You're one in a million my love.

Blessing -One In a Million!

The day I opened my eyes to embrace breathing life
Her unconditional love followed like a shadow rife

Without knowing how to talk and explain my heart
She was the only one to give life a meaningful start

Conditions when turned bad with scarcity to survive
Fought alone for living so that I never face any strive

Each millisecond struggled alone at work and home
Giving me a good life bothering not for health of own

Everyone says their Mother is the best in the world
For me a Goddess from a realm above material Earth

Virtues taught made me humane more than human
Enlightened inner soul making capable for creation

She is my Mother, Mentor, Friend and sweet Sister
Made me to live life being motivated even in sinister

I am blessed to write about a blessing one in a million
Fumbling for words since her love is infinite in a trillion
