WEASEL

Tiny little weasel,
Sneaking `round the house,
Searching for a midnight snack,
A chick, a kit or mouse.

Crafty little rascal,
Scurries here and there,
Must find enough to feed the brood,
A bird, a pup or hare.

Nocturnal little scavenger,
Omnivorous opportunist,
Relentless once he spots his prey,
A formidable impugnist.

Cute little weasel,
Can be really sweet,
Cut the little guy some slack,
We all have got to eat.

Premium Member Chasing Footprints

He is legend, folklore and for some reality,
an ape-hominid-like creature of many names;
he is Big Foot, Sasquatch, Yeti or wild man,
science discounts his existence, many believe,
    six to ten feet tall,
    five hundred pounds,
    covered in brown fur,
        a strong unpleasant odour.

The Indigenous people of Canada tell stories,
stories told of wild men living in British Columbia;
each tribe had its own version of this hairy creature,
who is said to be omnivorous and nocturnal,
    very large eyes,
    enormous large feet,
    twenty four inches long,
          wanders the deep forests.

Big Foot hunters have organized hunts in California,
gigantic footprints have been found in Bluff Creek;
miners in 1924 claimed they were attacked by Big Foot,
a Canadian prospector said he was abducted by Sasquatch,
    sightings or hoax
    stories, misidentifications
    mystical creature
        legend, folklore or reality

The scientific view is that there is no supportive data,
that many of the sightings and footprints have been false;
hoax's the newspapers have sensationalized on the facts,
but how can we reject the thousands of alleged footprints,
    scattered over miles,
    dismiss the witnesses,
    the photographs taken,
        the hundreds of stories told.

Voracious Animals

Voracious Animals

Animals in nature are categorized by their feeding habits...
For the ferocious meat eaters, they are by nature carnivorous...
Their hapless preys, they are torn to pieces, gnawed and chewed....
There there are the plants feeders, the herbivores, munching and grazing in peace....

Caught between these two is the human species, meat and plants eating....
Mercilessly effective, humans devour meat and plants endlessly....
The human species, we are omnivorous in our feeding patterns....

But going viral, there is yet a 4th grouping in the human animal..
Umnovorous, a new breed of high powered and high flying human individuals...
Feeding brazenly on all kinds of money, perpetually thieving from the people...

Question remains, how do such gregarious animals feed...
Do they chew, gnaw or do they swallow complete...
All those ill gotten Malaysian Ringgit, heavens forbid?

Inner Animal In Another Animal

*****, we search animal in human
human too is animal, why not search animal in animal ?

Omnipresent Fox
omnivorous, cunning, trickster,
not domesticated, centre of many folklore
human variety lay trap with glib talk, loot to feed their generations
Politicians across globe are Fox in disguise

Omnithreat Wolf
docile man eater, endangered species, good in ambush tactics
digs holes to hide, lay wait for prey, attack prey on sly
human variety hide in mountains, attack innocent, kill off-guard civilians
Terrorists across globe are Wolf in disguise

Clear, we searched animal in animal
hope animal in human turns humane, when we shall search human in human ?

Greed

A child I do not know his citizenship
travels nations rummaging, rampaging
he has no origin but has relatives
but the child knows not how to share

Omnivorous, carnivorous and ruminant
his teeth grinds anything; canal receives all
At table everything runs to his open mouth
mindless of tears that roll, tongues that curse

This unknowable child gathers all to himself
wealth and power shiver when he appears
he’s master-never servant, never charitable
with open gullet he strips society naked

Governed by appetite amused by egotism
even eternity can’t fill empty bowl of greed

The province of delayed gratification
Poetry is dead.

There is now no appetite for deep reflection
In this far from limpid pool.
Abhorrent is meditation
To the present lords of all misrule.
Carpe diem once was for the nonce
Its writ now runs for aye.

Omnivorous science depredates
The very bones of our being.
Gradgrindery completely disintegrates
The very heart of our seeing.
Dawkins' dogma aims to destroy the spirit
And we are not the better for it.

Thus shrivels the soul and all that resides there,
Are we but creatures of accident, totally threadbare?
Until economic Armageddon strips us of cultural shame
Our choice is but to shroud the flame.

Depredation must needs be followed by reparation.
And then that rara avis, the phoenix anew
Will rise from the ashes, bright feathers in view.

We will illumine our world once more
When the bright flame of poetry will once again soar.

Painted Lies

The curves blush with love strokes,
Exploited moves in pure desire,
Over smooth silky indulgence,
Smitten by omnivorous dreams?

A shade to blend in crimson hues,
Voluptuous juices in frolic,
Fondled raptures veiled and crazy,
Tendrils circumscribed to bondage.

Raw love in the tender bites;
My pure submission to delights:

Premium Member Eliminating Death - a Dramatic Monologue

What?
I hope you are not serious, my fellow mortal!
Not serious when you suggest that we should
Eliminate death.

How could we?

This is preposterous!

But if you are serious, tell me how could we ever
Exist without the Lord of "darkness?"

Come on,
Do not be surprised by my question!
It may sound illogical to you at first, but
Don't you know that life is based on death?

You don't?
How come?

Don't you know that for something in order to live,
Something else has to die?

Let us take the Lion for instance, can the Lion survive if
Another animal doesn't die?
Can an eagle, a python, a shark thrive if other living organisms
Do not fall prey to their voracious appetite?

Of course, they cannot!

Certainly,
You may think of the sheep or of any other herbivorous animal
That does not kill in order to live
But
Even they eat grass which grows because microorganisms die
And we, my dearest friend, being omnivorous eat the sheep along
With thousands of other animals to ensure our survival.

Yes,
I know,
You would tell me now that you wish to eliminate death
Because you desire us not to die but to keep on living!

Let me tell you something, my dearest friend,
If this is really the reason that prompts you to wish death's demise, you Commit the worst of crimes because:
First, you wish to condemn Man to unending suffering and
Second, you deprive us all of being reborn into eternal life.

You see, my friend,
It would not be good to eliminate death, for death is
Our liberator and our one-way ticket to immortality!*

Premium Member Moved

Out of the bowels of the apartment come
the trivia of the past.

Old receipts pushed to the backs of drawers,
faintly accusatory,
records of money and passions spent;
Yellowed paperbacks made unseen
when new ones double-parked on the bookshelves;
Clothes swallowed by omnivorous closets,
CDs in cracked cases tugged into shadows,
gadgets, trinkets, and
other mummified delights
re-emerging dustily into the light
from the tidy rubble of a home.

Not like photos, those records of big things
making up the official, abridged version of a life,
these are the messy memorabilia,
leftovers from small doses of happiness,
each a reminder of
a moment in time when we were lifted
from the rut of days, and
cheered,
solaced,
or moved.

Now all assigned to the “OUT” pile,
to be shed
before the movers come.

Premium Member Where Have All the Women Gone

It's wonderful~how some women's
shoes are delightful and feminine.
Yet women dress more and more
like men each day.
It's very sad in the USA, to watch
femininity quickly pass way.

Why wear pretty underwear inside
while dressing Paul Bunyan on the
outside?
Why get facial waxes, when a beard
and a mustache, matches your mannish
clothes and shoes?

What's the need for Dooney and Burke
expensive purses?
When sweaters your deceased grandpa
would not wear, you flash
with unabashed flair!

What happened to daughters who once
dressed as girls?
All have fallen and been totally destroyed
in a giant, omnivorous jean-factory world.

Why do sons and daughters dress like
fathers?
And why this fetish for masculinity?
And the crushing decimation of our
femininity?

Here Lies the Queen

The frozen voice hangs on the
door. A crowd waits.
Midnight explosions
will start soon
to herald a benevolent sky-
for squatters.

In rise and fall of an empire
I won’t put any label
to generation drift. The
changing geography will
take care of the ashes.
A ragpicker will tell the story.

Ambulatory moon
had become economical, blanching
the stained dreams only
like our land’s wounds.
The sea of hate lies naked before us
to sweep the carcasses. I know not
how to become omnivorous.

Persistent Pecker

Off in the misty distance
I hear a hungry woodpecker
Hammering with his head.
This omnivorous, opportunist
Breaks the silence of the morn
With his rat-a-tat-tatting
As if knocking on a door.
His persistent pecking
Will end with success
When he excavates
The hapless insect
A meal deservingly gained
But the silence won’t remain
Because he'll begin all over again.

Big Question

"If I kill a wicked person, a liar or Satan
Will I have ever peace or world be peaceful forever?"
                                                                 -QOUTE BY MAHTAB BANGALEE

I'm well configured animal of nature
I'm THE most intelligent in the animal planet
I'm the best species of homo-sapience
I have to survive as my wish that's why
I need to consume all whatever I want
I’m the omnivorous animal that’s why-
I kill another animal from fauna,
I kill the flora and use other elements of nature capriciously!

I’m civilized, literate; I’ve common sense, conscience
That’s why I want to kill uncivilized, illiterate, and unscrupulous
I dislike lie, envy, ego and all the devilish sense
That’s why want to I kill liar, hater, egotist and Satan

It’s impossible, utterly impossible to kill the devilish sense
That’s why I seek the Devil to kill
I want to kill lie but I can’t; so I kill a liar
I want to kill devilish sense but I can’t; so I kill a wicked person

I can’t kill infectious disease that’s why I kill infectious patient
Out of sights I can’t everything that’s why I can’t control myself
For my overpowering sense sometimes I attempt to kill the self

But in homosapien’s blood and honors
The uncontrollable sense is a permanent contagious virus!

Now, it’s a big question that
If I kill a wicked person, a liar or Satan
Will I have ever peace or world be peaceful forever?
