Olympus
flew off course
Stallion

Veer Off CourseIsn’t in nice,
Sometimes,
To veer off course,
Look behind,
And watch it crumble
At your feet?...

Source of Remorse Being Off CourseSource of Remorse Being Off Course
What really did seem to be the source,
Of so much sadness filled with remorse,
That appeared;
Always feared;
When riding horse and being off course.

Off-Course ConscienceIn God’s own world, kind and humane once,
bullets rip through the dreaming buds,
blood flows with the color of innocence,
the flowers of promise never bloom.
Terror breeds in the fanatic hearths,
dislocated minds mutilated by despicable instinct
turn into executor of targeted destruction,
chosen randomly from ominous list of insane caprice.
Morality defaced by indolent intolerance,
understanding disintegrates into abhorrence.
Empathy...

Off Coursestorm, weight of rain sloshes
o’er the sides of the acrylic tub
thunder of strobe, eyes blinking
slashes of screams, disaster —
utterance of lips, gutteral
door jammed, eye to eye contact
with the lion and lamb; the owl
on heights of despair interrogates,
scrutinizes, eyeballs the blood seas,
sees all, inspects your history,
his and his too, talons tapping.
outside the storm-beset sanctuary
enlightenment, smoky...

Flying Off CourseOn a plane flying to Vancouver,
An odd lady said that I knew her,
I was just flabbergast,
After years now at last,
My wife of forty is much cruder....

On Course Off CourseOff course...on course
There are times when I fall
Times when I stall
Times when nothing seems to go right at all
Times when I go backward
At least am standing still
Times when I feel broken
Like rolling down the hill
And then in an instant
Love comes flying in
Comes with a message of recovery
Comes to take away my sin
And in that...

Forever Lost and Way Off CourseForever Lost and Way Off Course
Through cemetery had ridden my horse
All we found there was much remorse;
Stared at and would reach each name,
And to who should be given the blame;
Where forever lost and way off course.
Jim Horn

Minds Off CoursePast life ghosts they drift and creep
spread their bile on those who sleep
cold as ice with no soft side
For mud bound stains dug so deep

Veer Off Coursego back
finish up
what was
once started
long ago
travel backwards
down the path
till you come
upon the point
at which the path
begin to veer off
course
this time around
do it right
cause there will
not be a twentieth
chance at this...

Blown Off CourseJust as the wind has come about
And it's time to change tack;
There's a new hand on the tiller
Of the mutinous, rudderless boat;
Now doomed to float aimlessly,
Until it arrives at an uncharted port
Its cargo spoiled, wasted, ruined....

With Remorse and Off CourseWith Remorse and Off Course
On one evening was much remorse;
Hillary had lost after being off course;
Sharpened claws,
With many laws;
Of sin, Trump became his own source.
