On Course Off Course
Off course...on course
There are times when I fall
Times when I stall
Times when nothing seems to go right at all
Times when I go backward
At least am standing still
Times when I feel broken
Like rolling down the hill
And then in an instant
Love comes flying in
Comes with a message of recovery
Comes to take away my sin
And in that moment I am new again
In that moment am green
In that moment I rise again
In that moment am clean
Can I hold on to those moments
Can I hold on to them tight
Will they help me get through
My darkest days and nights
I know this journey comes
With times when I am dark
And blue
And others when I am rising
Am healing better still
And I even though at times
I tend to go off course
Your love guides me
Calling
Come back without remorse
I have ventured in the low lands
Have ventured in the plains
Have endured the scary sounds
Of that approaching train
Your hands reaching out
Left little doubt in me
I could go no longer
Alone and without thee
So while you may not have noticed
Me slipping out the door
Your love it called me back
And for that I adore
I am grateful for your voices
Grateful for your pain
Grateful that i heard you
And feel washed newly
By the rain
Doubt not you are so worthy
Doubt not even when you fear
Doubt not, you make a difference
With me, over here
I am back from my adventure
Back with news, that is known
Back from another lesson
And with that I have grown
Tonight I think important to pray
For those who never find their way back home
keep calling with your voices
And they'll never be alone
God bless you
Yes you Reading
And more so many more
For I know that I am lucky
To walk back thru the door
The shame that falls upon me
That guilt that hides my face
Has lifted with your kindness
I feel love and his grace
I am moved by the music
Of those who choose to play
Love lifted me gently
A gift for me today
