Premium Member O Glorious Autumn
O glorious Autumn of melancholic
Gold -
All abouts the brightly lit
Woodlands
Your wonderful artistry behold!
Tinted bronzes,
Darting between awkward firs
Of sobering Evergreen,
Loiter inside mauve havens
Splashed with palest yellows -
And dappled with many differing
Limes
Throughout this variegated Theme;
A myriad of rustling contentment,
Sweetest contrasting charms,
Complimentary...
Softly whispering leafy hues...
Hushed...most elegantly...

Nighttime hypnotic dreams flow
a starry heart swirls
heavenly sequins sparkle,
gold moonlight reflects off crystal seas
an evening full of wonder
an exquisite tapestry, a secret story,
pure opal-colored mist
as you moonwalk,...

Premium Member Autumn Captured
Sitting downstream in this delightful setting
When you close your eyes there is just no forgetting

I can still see the scene that my mind has captured
The most glorious of colours leaves me in rapture

The bluest of sky seeps through a canopy I behold
Mirrored on the stream...

Premium Member Fall At Wenatchee River
Autumn clouds drift over the Wenatchee River
Changing from blue to a metallic silver
I walk it's shores as the greying breaks
As it captures ochres and greens in reflection shapes

Translucent ripples in undulation dance
Insects skim the waves with their life they chance
Trout break the surface to share...

Premium Member - Shades of Autumn - 5
In denim- blues skies:
the sun hums gold a decaying monotone
of chest crushing heat on teeming trees
to fields and prairies, where they striptease.

And when the wind gusts:
cool hours seed encoring the hues
of ochres bright not of fire forced.

Spirally wheeled pupils may whirl
as...

Black Fruits - In French -
Fruits noirs

Sans qu’on y prenne garde,
Le ciel se tisse du grillage
Sombre des branches.
Elles s’étendent chaque année,
Et chaque année,
Grignotent un peu plus d’espace,

Au point de parfaire une voûte
Et d’arriver à se rejoindre,
En confisquant le peu de lumière,
Stagnante, sous les dernières
Feuilles de novembre,
La sève lentement...

Tree lined avenue
Ochres and yellows display
Graciously they fall
In carpet gown, soil enriched
In life they shone, now they're gone

(Reviewed by a snooty correspondent)

November dons her coats of warm terries,
tans, a few ochres, but surely not bright.
(Except for sneaky, red-coated berries,
peeking from bushes, agrin with delight.)

November's dress: pretty dull, never shines.
We prefer October's boisterous charm.
Branches bare, it's said limbs often recline;
sunbathe to keep their...

Premium Member Autumn's Carpet
Leaves of different colours
Drift to the ground
Autumn's carpet
Reds, ochres and browns

For seasons they grace
An audience of life
To end their days
In decaying strife

Natures loss
Is natures gain
Their nutrients never wasted
Or their life in vain

Spring will return
And summer soon
Autumn's carpet
In leafy strewn

Premium Member Nude Descending a Staircase
The canvas is painted in ochres and browns
Suggesting a figure, the staircase coming down
Be it masculine or feminine is for your mind to see
The artist’s title denotes it descends in nudity.

The body parts are not displayed so exact
Demonstrating movements that appear somewhat abstract
Stare as long...

The Cold Comes
The cold comes
   following an endless spring
   that lagged forever into summer
where it could not keep its hold
   then returning again in autumn
to linger on the trees and low in the grass.
Now, comes...

First Day of Fall
I have earrings shaped like acorns
And I poked them through my ears
As a welcome to this season
And my joy when it appears.

Though the leaves have yet to burnish
I await those golden hues,
For to live without those ochres
Is an option I’d refuse.

There’s a nip there in...

Sweeping Leaves In the Wind
There is something strangely satisfying
About sweeping leaves in the wind.
A pure and pristine panacea for the soul.
As the impish zephyrs play
With a rustle of laughter
Tumbling through;
Sometimes for,
Some against, the action of my toil.
With the rhythmic swish of my broom
The breeze blows and the branches bow,
Scattering...
