Maxine Waters Main Stream Media “She is such a dynamic leader.” “I’d like to take Trump out behind the gym and kick his ****!” Joe Biden Main Stream Media “You tell’em Joe.” “We can’t be civil until we are back in charge again!” Hilary Clinton Main Stream media “She should have been President.” “When they go low, kick them!” Eric Holder Main Stream Media “They deserve it.” “Get up in the face of some congress people!” Corey Booker Main Stream Media “You go Spartacus.” “Make America great again!” Donald Trump. Main Stream Media “Man, that guy is so hateful, always promoting violence” Ok, I am sorry for this but it is infuriating me and the main stream media is the enemy of the people. Stop reading me if you like because of this but it is every day and has been for the past two years. What really gets me is people act like they don’t see it or feel that it is okay. Whether you like the guy or not, this is just too much. I have seen numerous poems on this site trashing the President of the United States. Everyday there are more. I mean really? Yes, I agree he’s not the nicest guy in the world. He shoots his mouth off too much but he is doing something, Which is more than I can say for any other President, Democrat or Republican. He works hard and that is what scares these other politicians. They look at politics as a job where they don’t have to do anything except sit around all day arguing with each other. They are scared to death of work. Tim Smith just posted a poem about Kindness…everyone should read it. Why can’t everyone just be kind to one another? Yeah, I know…stupid question. The headline this morning on MSN read: "Pittsburgh mourns synagogue shooting victims as protestors await Trump." Did we really need the last part of that headline? Can’t they let these people and the country mourn in peace? Why do they always have to stir up crap? Why didn’t they just write, Pittsburgh mourns synagogue shooting victims and we still hate Trump?

I've written the odd poem about trump but mainly in fun of his hair and name as a trump is another name for a fart. I do see continuous strings of poems written on the site but I don't bother to read them. Good for you for speaking out and also highlighting Tim's poem:-) Hugs Jan xx

I know you have and I know we have discussed it before. Your poems are always geared towards funny and I enjoy reading them. I just got very irritated the other day and had to let off a little steam and Tim's poem was a perfect counter to what is going on here in the states. Thanks so much Jan, I always appreciate your friendship.

It seems not many are touching this one. I'll just say that I respect the office of the presidency, but I have no respect for the one who currently sits in that chair.

I understand and respect your opinion. And I do appreciate you leaving a comment Lin. I didn't think many would come in on this one, but I am glad you did. I personally don't care for any politician, I think they are all greedy people who only think of themselves. But I have seen so many Trump trashing poems on here I thought I'd give the other side a shot. Thanks again my friend.

Trump has some things correct, except gun control, which eventually will have to happen. But how many people must first get shot? Trump said the Pittsburgh massacre could have been avoided with armed security guards. Nonsense. The guards would get killed first, with the madman having the advantage of surprise.

You're right that taking away some guns wouldn't help. It needs to happen extreme. First with an amendment to the const., which is exactly the reason for a system of amending the const. An inspector with a metal detector could find all the guns in everyone's home. Are all these lives a worthwhile price for preserving folks' hunting fun? Besides, can we all afford full-time, armed guards (plural) everywhere?

continued...The problem is, there are too many guns in the U.S. held by law abiding citizens and criminals alike that I don't think there is much you can do now. But, mandated background checks that work would be a nice start. Thanks for reading and commenting.

You could be right. I am not a gun person, I don't own guns and won't. But perhaps the gunman would have had the element of surprise if he knew already there were armed guards inside. If he didn't, who would be surprised? It is sad that gun violence is what it is, but it has been this way for many, many years. Long before Trump or Obama.

Thank you so very much Maureen for everything. Your friendship is so important to me. Most times I just bite my tongue but it had built up in me so much I had to get it out there or I fear I might have exploded. And trust me, little chunks of Chris scattered all over the site is not a pretty picture. : )
