Ink Empress is my muse
Her poetry takes takes me away
To the land of butterflies and gems

Her metaphors are unique
Enlightening me to the fullest
I’m indeed impressed

And wow! What a vocabulary
I constantly have to look her words up
So I can fully embrace her wonderfulness

I’ve become a misanthropic lonely person
After my divorce
But Ink’s words restore my faith

When I need a lift
I go to Ink’s prose
And there I find happiness

While others go about their business
I sit and I wait
For what Ink will post next!

Thank you Ink for being such a delight
In a world that has turned so cold
You are the fire that warms us all

Crackened

I have just scratched the surface of my latent hatred
Of my blind, awe-inspiring, narcissistic, misanthropic, vehement self
In Flames draws it
As, I believe, Nightwish will
There is so much power here, my heart is stone.
But inside, oh how is it acerbic!
Corrosive, burning
It burns! I feel… the burn

It yearns to burst out
To… to kill
Do I mean that?
No, just thoughts.
Twisted, darkened thought.
Define me?
No, they do not.
The moment I turn this music off
I am out.
I am me.
But, right now, I am king.
A god, DO AS I SAY!
…and leave me be.
Desolate, forgotten.
Anything else is unsatisfactory
No… IT IS TORTURE.

So get away.
Get away!
Humans make me weak.
I acknowledge no pain,
only that which you give me

So leave!
Go, go now!
...and live.
It is all your fault,
it is all your fault!
My twisted, wretched existence
Bound by darkness,
Bound by rusted iron chains,
to this never-ending life
of pain, of misery, of anguish!
Escape? There is none.
Certainly not by your hand
You are foolish, you are human, and you are nothing.

How could you think us equals?
Don’t you see me?
Don’t you see my power?

Troll Song

We are the tintinnabulating trolls
To the rock rock bottom of our nonexistent souls.
Madder than the maddest hatter,
Hear us bellow, bray, and bleat;
And we prattle pitter-patter
In our jabberwocky chatter
To a bumbulating beat.
See us zim zam zoom
As we're going bim bam boom
In an onomatopoeia that so rhythmically rolls.
We're the trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls.
We're the truly tintinnabulating trolls.

We are the tintinnabulating trolls
With our xenophobic hearts lit like black burning coals.
Hate and anger are our teachers
So we squabble, squeal, and squirm.
We are misbegotten creatures—
With the ugliest of features—
Lower than the lowest worm.
In these premises
We're unrivaled nemeses;
And we burrow furrow mindless like some misanthropic moles.
We're the trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls.
We're the truly tintinnabulating trolls.

We are the tintinnabulating trolls
From compassion and goodness we're at opposite poles—
So devoid of any scruples.
On stupidity we feed.
As our villainy quadruples
We're the most attentive pupils
To insatiable greed.
See us bash bing bang.
Hear us clatter clash cling clang
As we crash upon the shallows of malevolented shoals.
We're the trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls.
We're the truly tintinnabulating trolls.

We're the trolls trolls trolls,
The incorrigible trolls.
We're the trolls trolls trolls.
We're the horrigible trolls.
We're the irritating, aggravating, fascinating trolls.
We're the wrangulating, jangulating, strangulating trolls.
We're the trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls trolls.
We're the truly tintinnabulating trolls.

Premium Member More Than One Kind of Crazy

Occasionally we should expose the wackier lobe of the brain
in order to better appreciate the more sensible side of the mind.
~THIS is one of those times...

I capriole between my arabesques
fugaciously spasmodic in fluxes and leaps
indifferent to their misanthropic mocking
and cheeky syncopated schisms

BUT LET THEM SCOFF!

I derogate their arrogance
in silent smirking repudiation
for they know not of the decoctions
spating rapidly through my veins,
nor of the massive assemblage
of my miscelany grey and white matter.

The mordant humor of this absurdity
is that I am irrationally rational...
psychotically speaking;
I am dripping with percipience
sagaciously intelligent beyond the measure
of those cretins who kvetch, pule, and postulate
that I am strabismic and nonsensical as a loon.

After reading this write of gelastic absurdity,
it's become mereticiously opaque to me
that my discourse is oxymoronic, OR
I am a dimwitted addlepate.

There is more than one kind of crazy!
                                           *********************

A translated version of the above nonsense,
so now Jan doesn't think she's hopelessly lost.

I dance as if I were a ballerina,
a total klutz, but I don't care
if they laugh at me.

LET THEM MAKE FUN!

I don't care if they smirk at me because
they don't know what I feel or think.
The funny part of my silliness is that
I'm really rational, pretending not to be.
I'm really smarter than I look or act
so let those idiots say that I'm
as crazy as a loon.

Now that I've read these words,
it's clear to me that nothing I've
written is clear. Soooo....
I'm either clever at writing an oxymoron
OR I'm crazy.

The New Awakening

When nighttime comes
I long for a kiss
from my partner’s sweet sucking lips
to make me forget the craziness around me

When I wake up at nighttime
I want to eat fried chicken
to quell my upset spirit
and calm my anger

I don’t know why conservative politicians who have so much are so unhappy
They deny families food stamps and safe shelter for the homeless.
Right-wing politicians must not have a warm heart that beats human.
Do they understand what their malevolent laws do to people?

They hurt the lives of the fast dwindling American middle class
but with gorged bellies they expand their bank accounts
they know this is not the way to represent Americans honestly
they ignore the neediest and shower opulence to the wealthy

Greed is at the politician's core;
always wanting more.
Americans work hard to provide for their families
But politicians are deficient in caring for the working American

We, the well-fed American voter should be more compassionate
We are not a young country anymore, we have no more excuses
it’s time we matured and shared the resources

The starving world demands it
Worldwide, can there only be plenty for the wealthy
but deprivation wages for the poor?

It has nothing to do with who works hardest or is the wiser investor
it's about politicians thinking of the people who pay for their sustenance
controlling their avarice and sharing life's resources equally
stop wasting our nation's treasure and the world's resources

Above all cease creating wars and killing people in our name
understand that Time does not stand still,
it moves on with or without us and those in power
remember history does not look kindly on corrupt officials

Politicians who disregard their own people's welfare
instead follow their greed unto tomorrow above all else,
led by a corrupt, obsequious Senate leader and
a narcissistic, misogynistic,misanthropic criminal president
and emperor wanna-be have no place in American politics

Americans say not no, but hell no we won't go back!

sweetly symphonic slopes
green glistened gradient

hillside reeds rejoice flat
rejuvenation blessed

villagers swim downstream
lips kiss glimmered ripples
madly in love with reflections

how quickly forgotten
all quickly forgiven
natural mortality rates

the river wisely runs
babbles off mortified
naturally misanthropic

Premium Member Going Postal

(Voting Republican)

Who’d have thought that our nation would ever go postal,
Past sin perhaps brings our demise?
From our ancestral guilt at the treatment of Indians,
(Enrichment by gun’s artifice)
To enslavement of innocents branded by color?

Misanthropic beginnings forged seeking our freedom
Duplicity seen as our Right
We then took on the armor of people we hated
Our fear and greed clouding our sight
Could our brokenness truly be hope for all nations?

Undeserving we worship stale Gods and past glory,
New Testament’s cautions, lost art,
As now saving yourself is the Trump-phatic message
God’s grace has no place in our heart,
Self promotion the sand that his lunacy stands on.

Kings of science denial and nails in Christ’s coffin
Christ buried is their promised land,
And the sharing of wealth is a communist mantra
To love is a foolish demand.
A fool’s take on the Bible is what they call Gospel.

For the mighty will fall and their pride turn to ashes
God grant that Trump’s time will come soon
As his follower’s goosestep their way off life’s pathway
This piper just plays a sad tune!
But would taxpayer sponsored elections improve things?

Banking

Leaving banking, I am thinking about banking. When the red humour from the human system drains off, we irrigate the haematic fluid inside through vein-channels. ‘Blood Banks’ with sanguine loans come to our rescue. In cases of renal malfunction, we ransack kidney colonies for mercenary donors. Or don’t we eye greedily at the safest vaults for the bean-shaped organ - at the healthy kidneys inside the frames of our beloved ones? For grafting damaged skin, happily we become clients of ‘Skin Banks’. Those banks supply us with new apparel – bio-RMG, culled from the *****sapiens. In needs cellular, ‘Tissue Banks’ help us consummate the transaction. Aren’t ‘Eye Banks’ the last resort of the visually deprived or underprivileged ones? To cater to cerebral needs, there are ‘Brain Banks’. ‘DNA Data Banks’ through gene cartography help us circumnavigate the vast continents of bioinformatics. Oh that we only had a ‘Philanthropy Bank’ to supply us with liquefied humanity for intra-venous infusion into the sadistic, misanthropic minds!

This Gray Sky

These leafless trees remind me
of the ebb and flow of soul...
As the sun slides lazy through a thoughtless gray sky
my mind is forced into misanthropic musing,
watching the tumble of deadened leaves tustling
by way of an influential breeze

The blazing summer life, now just an afterthought...
the euphoric encounters all memories so instantly distant
...could they be just dreams? Yet the sights so vivid...
sounds piercing beautifully into willing eardrums audience
Her laugh and "sunny day" way of saying anything at all....
I can still tast her lip gloss and sugar coated optimism
No, this is no dream...the contrast between here and then
is so stark it can only be but an impossible yesterday left lingering
like the last life you lived but cant recall.

Now consigned to nostalgia like a security blanket
faded and wearing to paciphy nothing at all
Here is the season of holding breath til one day
I might breathe fresh and newer life like springtime

This cycle is mine to bear...
...a fair weather phoenix rising and falling all too often

Just Because

Why do you say you are not that to me?
I never asked you to be anything.

Why do you think my life revolves around you?
I know your integrity is not true.

Just because we are people of structure does not mean you have to care
     for the next person.

In statement, I address what you say.
I know that you do not play.

When the hurricane hit, I knew you were only looking out for yourself.
Just because we all are in a humanitarian world, does not mean you have
to give a damn about the next individual.

What if the same was done to you, just because...
Would outcry for help be heard?

Altruistic we define just because we love life.
Philanthropic is a benevolent fight.
Just because wrong must become right.

Misanthropic this designs.
Why not be assiduous just because you are part of mankind?

Why not joist life?
Just because…

Why am I here?
Then again...
From where did I come?

Enslaving Love
             by Odin Roark

An eagle rides the updraft
Peering down at the happenings

Man's best friend wags his tail
Hesitantly

A bouquet of flowers seeks the sun
Amidst relationship's cold-draft unrest

A baby simply close its eyes
Rejecting intrusion on innocence

So goes the conspiracy of the have-nots
Guised in sanguine images of love

How few fight back
Accepting the status quo
As contemporary truth

Families
The worst offenders
Politicians strong second
Bossdom at work, close third

Reality dictates
Agendas rule
And agendas are allegiant
To only their own moi

How insipid grows this weed of mind
A torturous maintenance
Made defeatist by default
Rendering but mulch as offspring

Yet

Some of dumb luck
Persevere
Finding somewhere
Antidotes for poison

Perhaps it's the unpolluted glass of water
The walk along a pristine forest path
Sitting on ancient sand
Ocean waters lapping one's feet
Willingness to drink in nature again
Disallowing today's misanthropic trend
To seduce what's left

For some
The echo is fierce
**** me
**** you

Electioneering

Electioneering

Somewhere in the mind of America is the simmering consciousness of legislative morality… where the politicians and rhetoricians are more than magical magicians

I see you America, with your brains spinning and your eyes rolling
Fingers wagging in blame game naming and shaming

Hypocrisy is your middle name in misled Middle America where the Middle Class is lost in the shuffle of meddling rhetoric spewed by mewed misanthropic women and men in new pants and suits and suitpants

I see you looking out to the horizon, heading for the future and looking for the past on a TV screen where extreme left and extreme right don’t battle for Middle America…

– where Americans meet in the middle and talk sense to each other –

…they battle for radical ideologies that alienate the middle and satisfy the fringe who binge on the ‘beautiful’ chaos of the moment and the month and the electioneering year

Stump speeches, primaries, media polls, emails, and end goals – what does it mean?

Was it Goethe who told us to “speak a few reasonable words” every day? Do we hear them? When America takes his advice it may be too late – It is too late – Is it too late? Too late to satiate and placate the masses of Middle America?
Electioneering in an election year; engineering for a future too near…

Nebulous Streams, Clouding My Brain

Nebulous Streams, Clouding My Brain

Sleeping death through timeless space
Nocturnal Nebulae that will displace
Misanthropic minds of clustered clouds
Bipolar builders of sacred shrouds

Elucidative echoes of enchanted eyes
Decussate delusions that shall arise
Carnal contortions camouflaging spheres
Deleterious dust expanding light years.

My Child-Love

Now that love's hands have lifted from my searching eyes, I have begun to see. I look at the faces of those who love has captured, and my misanthropic vision clouds their joy. Don't they know what love will do to them? It will consume them, body and soul. It will control their minds and make them do things they swore they would never do. And once love's soft touch wraps around your finger, you can never let it go. Like a child, it grows. It then holds your hand, and demands to be carried, even when it has grown too big. Love wraps its legs around your waist and its arms tightly around your neck. You can still breathe, but only when love lets you.
My love has become hopefully vulnerable. It sees those that it has loved before, and those who have loved me and it tugs me along as it tries to pursue them. I trip over my own feet, I feel awkward and unwanted. But love doesn't understand that. It is blissfully ignorant, and it does not realize the destruction it causes within my heart and soul. It welds, twists, and mangles the metal of my strong heart. It entices my soul, then disappoints with flawed morale.
But through all this, I hold on.
