(WHY I KEEP LIVING)
She is light skin
blonde hair with curls
a perfect mixture of our different racial spring.
A gap in between her front teeth
and two tiny dimples on her cheeks.
Haha!
She is so beautiful and fragile
very intelligent and sweet.
She has a castle in the garden
she believes she is Cinderella.
My unborn princess Mia.
I dreamed of her ever since i was sixteen.
at nineteen i thought this was it
only i had no groom.
so when he put a ring on it on my 21st birthday
i knew it would be anytime soon.
But when we went our separate ways an year after that
it was another doom.
Now am 24,turning 25yrs soon
and i think i have found the right Mon.
But with all the distance and miles separating us
i think it will take a few passing of the moon.
Each night before i drift off
i close my eyes
place my hand on the tummy
and listen as her tiny legs tries to kick it off.
Each dawn when i wake
i kiss 'Mia the teddy' on the forehead
as i shall each day when we wake.
I live for that soft wail
when doctors cut that tail.
I live for the bite of her first set of teeth
announcing she is about to outgrow my ****.
I breath for the day she calls me 'mama'!
I breath for the day she runs down those stairs
without my arms as her guide and armor.
I breath for that scared innocent look
when i let go of her hand on her first day to school.
I fight for the day she comes home crying
with her first heart break.
I fight for the day those tall legs makes a win on the run way
granting her a career through break.
I live for the day she reach the teens
start to see me as her evil twin.
I breath for the day my baby girl walks down the aisle
with pride besides her father all glamorous and in style.
I fight for the day she hit forty
and everything she feels becomes a fight.
I live for the day she will comb my gray hair
tuck me to bed with a kiss on my forehead
as i once did to her.
I breath for the day i shall dies
old,toothless and with a smile
because i know she will be standing by.
I live, breath and fight to live
till she is live
right here in my life.
I crave sticky butter mint balls
Liquorice allsorts from the candy stalls
Orange smarties, my favourite treat
Violet crumbles I just love to eat
English toffees for me to masticate
Chocolate drops make me salivate
Aniseed balls would paint my tongue red
Nougat or should I choose fruit gums instead
Dime bars and snickers too much temptation
Yikes! my waistline spread’s caused aggravation!

To speak for those, who no longer have a voice,
were I to get it wrong, would they really have a choice?
No.., they didn't choose me as spokesperson, why would they?
I am not clairvoyant.
But they haunt my dreams still...cause me to rise, plead me to look back.
They won't let me alone, point in fact.
“I am waiting patiently. Goodbye my darlings"
Bill didn't have enough water to write much more than this.
Born on Valentine's day, with his heart set on Chubby,
eight days to dwell on a love that almost was, now missed.
Mia was a sad-eyed beauty, there's no denying that.,
she never got free the shadow cast, Ernie's early demise.
Though a mother's love, given and reciprocated,
found a fondness binding, throughout her short life.
Marty made the day special for friends and family,
never thinking of himself, a miracle and twin borne.
Forsaken in life's wishes, called only for justice seen,
lived life fitting of a brother they'll always mourn.
Save up the coins for the ferryman while you still can,
the days will bring swift recounting.
Leave lasting memory for love's empty hand,
and debts of the heart ever surmounting.
Ill at ease
Bacardi and coke,sipping,
Ripping a pal
She smokes a cigar
Feels out of sorts
Full of retorts.
But under the front]
She bears the brunt
She wants to be home.
Her man, so decent
Works hard
So recent.
Reached an understanding
To be non-demanding
Reached a peak
Decided to speak
Discuss the issues
Spare the tissues
It's good, not bad
No more jack-the-lad
He's the sun
He's the one.
Suddenly she knows
In the midst of the show
That she's loved...she feels
That her life is real.
She is a wife
She has a real life
She remembers the times
The nursery rhthmes.
Mama Mia's a blast
But see what will last
It's good to remember, good to dance
But life is real
Life is still a romance.
What mighty man shall this cup serve,
Whose power rests on fealty’s nerve,
With certain lust it shames to know,
How upon its charms did grow.
A thousand years did wax and wane,
Until a Dane did ascertain,
That time was ripe for certain news,
A book he wrote with crooked clues.
A goodnight read did he convey,
Thoughts that caused some disarray,
With simple verse did he unveil,
A magic code that was the real.
Foul, foul to be so naughty!
Those dirty men at a party,
So many others not invited,
Rage and anger now ignited.
His story told a subtle tale,
Of one who was a ripe female,
Into the night she had fled with seed,
Carrying the babe of man’s misdeed.
The churchmen did not like this thought,
Preferring the plan they had bought,
That damsels ought to stay like that,
So a chosen few could pass the hat.
Whence upon the story broke,
The pope his army did invoke,
To arrest the man’s little scheme,
For thinking of this seamy dream.
Another bloke whose name was Leigh,
Who suffered from some jealousy,
Cried and yelled with all his might,
To no avail was the fight.
With all the Brownian motion,
There was a bit of commotion,
A genre hereby was created,
By an idea that many hated.
So what was really this all about,
That threatened those who were devout,
Could it simply have been so scary,
That the Man was sometimes Mary?
That they forgot a contraceptive,
Should not make us less receptive,
To one degree or another,
We all come from the same big mother.
So let us stop this boring blight,
Embrace instead the fun of night,
Dan the man stole an idea,
Oh mama mia, mama mia!
POW – MIA
Grandma, when Grandpa went to Vietnam
And left you at home alone
Did you ever think he wouldn't return
And be forever gone
No, dear I thought he'd be back
And never leave again
But that crazy war in Vietnam
Was one we couldn't win
Well, Grandma, where is he now
Is he still fighting the war
Will he ever come home to be with us
Why did he go so far
My child your Grandpa had to go
And fight for freedom's sake
But he won't be coming home again
And that's so hard to take
But Grandma, if he's not coming home
Why did he have to stay
I'd like to see Grandpa again
So he and I could play
Well, son I'm sorry to tell you this
There is no other way
Your Grandpa may be a prisoner of war
Or what the Army calls MIA
Well, why is he in prison
Did he commit a crime
I don't understand, Grandma
It's been a long, long time
Yes, dear, you're right, it's been so very long
Since Grandpa went away
But all the love he gave to us
Is with us every day
You're right Grandma
He really did love us all
He had to go to Vietnam
To answer his country's call
My child you are so very wise
And one day you'll understand
Your Grandpa had to go and fight
For the freedom of our land
Grandma, I love you so
And I'll never go away
I won't leave you home alone
Home is where I'll stay
Thank you dear, that's very kind
But Grandma will be alright
I love you too
God is my guiding light
He's my light too, just like Grandpa said
He's always by our side
He helps us every day
And dries the tears we've cried

Angel you are and you will forever be
Your magical feathery touch
And mouth-watering dishes much
From our birth to your death
Loved you we did, with all our heart
For you are our very breath
Love us you will
Wipe our tears before eye's fill
Paradise lies at your feet
That is what god has decreed
You were love at first sight
Cuddling and caring
Stories of prince
In lullabyies you would convince
Bathing, cleaning and keeping us neat
Loving, caring, and tickling our feet
The ever-flowing love in your twinkling eyes
The glow on your stunning smiling face
Your soft and soothing gown with a wonderful lace
Everything is a show
Nothing is going to be same tomorrow
Every new day you get older
But still breath-taking and beautiful
Your only fear is for one's near to heart
For you know one day you will depart
Life did not give you much
Few bits of happiness and tons of pain
For being, a homemaker was a special task
You were strong so you put a great mask
Life to you
Were moppet and munchkin
Yelling but still loving
Never did you say you were tired
I without doubt admired
You never gave even a tiny cry
For you hid your tears
But yours cheeks never dry
Value you we did
However, we were just stupid
I for one was a very naughty kid
There was never a huff
For all the troublesome and irritating things
After all, we were your darlings
We ask your forgiveness
For you are our richness
You are our life
Our reason of being
A great wonderful wife
We wish for your well-being
Our debt to you can never be paid
For you gave us too much
For us to repay
Prayer and smile
Safety and love
Good wishes for you my beloved
Mamma mia..My mother
R hythmic waves rose bending, beating
O ut of my heart into my soul breathing once again,
M elting beneath the silk heavens hued in cherry blossoms.
A nother night to drown in your moonlight blue eyes,
N uzzle into your neck then savor your lips once again,
T angle my fingers through your silky chestnut hair.
I don't ever want this night to end
C aught in the lace work of your love.

As I think of another
The poem is missing somehing!
Oh my goodness - what could it be?
It's got to be here somewhere...
Hey, wait - it's just missing a "t"?
The poem WAS missing something
I"m sure glad it's been found
Now I've got no worries
everything's safe an sound.
But wait - now something's gone again
I'm squinting, but it's lost in plain sight
I'm scratching my head till I realize - no worries
My spell checker will make it all write.

M. I. A. ( Missing In Action )
The date was nineteen and sixty nine,
A soldier wrote a girl named Caroline,
The VC were starting to close in,
He wasn't sure when he could write again.
But there was something he had to say.
Three words he should have said before this day.
He poured out his heart on every line,
Then finished with "I love you Caroline".
The letter arrived one winter's day,
Weeks after she heard he was MIA.
And her tears stained the page as she read,
For in her heart she knew that he was dead.
He had disappeared without a trace;
Lost somewhere in that God forsaken place.
The Army said he might not be found,
So an empty box was placed in the ground.
Then she tried to move on with her life,
And she became a mother and a wife.
But each year she visited his tomb,
Around the time the flowers were in bloom.
This went on for nearly thirty years;
Yet no amount of time could dry her tears.
She would pray beside his empty grave:
"How could this be the fate of one so brave?"
Then one day, in nineteen ninety nine,
A phone call sent a shiver down her spine.
While breaking ground just south of Hung Yen,
Some workers found the bones of seven men.
One of those men was her soldier boy,
And after he was shipped back from Hanoi,
They honored each MIA who served,
Then buried him the way that he deserved.
If you call America your home,
From Tampa to Oahu and to Nome.
Don't forget the men still MIA.
And pray to God that they come home one day.
MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE
POW OR MIA.
God be with them in a special way.
Protect these loved ones.
From their captors hate.
Make a way for their escape.
Reveal the cause that hides their fate.
If with You , we'll have to wait.
Tell them we'll meet, by the pearly gates.
God rest their souls till judgement day.
Where you'll take all pain and tears away.
Let the flags wave high! Till Johnny's home.
In our heart's you're never alone.
POW OR MIA.
God be with them in a special way.
Proud and fearless they await the blank handgun
Olympic battles have just begun
Endurance and persistence have been the least of fun
Motivated and being cheered on, by each and everyone
Failure has been the best way to learn
Overall respect is what they had to earn
Raising their flags up high, is what all athletes yearn
All the sleepless nights and fears
Tears of joy paid off the fruitless years
Heart and soul they’re in the game
Letting them rise to glorious fame
Enjoying every minute on the track
Thoughts of failure, they never look back
Excellence achieved, with trophies in hand
Shining stars singing the anthem of their proud land

She's here even if you can not see her,
She's here even if you can not hear it.
She makes herself known with a crazy purr,
Mia is here, and she will never quit.
Jack watches us from a pleasant distance,
And he charges up to demand our love.
Letting us go is a nonexistence,
For he hovers around us like a dove.
Zinnia attacks Mia like she's prey,
But she kicks and grooms her with a meow.
They both run and roll around as they play,
She's the crazy cat and she's sure to wow.
Mason is the oldest of the four cats,
And he's fluffy like the craziest hats.
mia madre terra
as we rest in your bosom
we slowly realize – your fight for us
searching for natural resources
finding dry – given up – life once lived
sensations felt in all the five elements
residing within me
to live without you is to
live without my existence
mia madre terra
taking you for granted
betraying you
molesting you
despite of all the gifts you have
given to us – yet
you keep giving us
when you roar
we pause
rispetta il clima
we don’t stop
we pause
we take time to learn
we are changing
for the better – many of us
many of us – not changing
as the glaciers melt
my side suffers the exploitation – need climate justice
mia madre terra
you’re the sweetest embrace
earthing with you
rejuvenates me
caresses me
I feel whole hugging you
I have to find you
In every tree
A high price fee
rispetta il clima
lands taken away
building – tearing – ripping
just taking – giving back less
very less – forgive those who
are still blind – they do not
know the essence of every season
each season is our life to grow
old to go – new to flow
mia madre terra
as days go by
your worth is acknowledged
how beautiful you are for all of us
we are healthy because of you
the seasonal changes remind us
about the change we caused
forgive us – we appreciate you
in everyway
rispetta il clima
the sunflower breeze
the honey buzz
cherry blossom fragrance
herbs growing – coffee brewing
we all need you – bow to you
time to reprogramme our goals – sustain
protect – something new we create
so we enjoy the joy of climate flow
