Premium Member Musings On Shakespeare's Sonnet 73

Some parts of life are permanent,
alas, some aspects not:
The morning temperature feels chill;
by midday it grows hot.
The money spent on cell phones'
long-term value which I sought,
Too soon is gone, as more is spent
on upgrades I've since bought.

The sun in its celestial course
yields light, black night, or shade.
Old years tossed out with calendars
as fire's embers fade.
Some friendships evanesce,
forgetting promises we'd made
Our children grow and move away,
as hair grows thinned and greyed.

Staunch boughs of trees are shaken by
harsh winds, enduring long.
'That time of year thou mayest in me
behold'; thy love's more strong.
You've been my life's sweet constant
as we harmonize our song -
One truth is undeniable:
in your arms I belong.

Premium Member William Shakespeare and Me

I shalt ne'er be a famous bard such as William Shakespeare.

From mine pathetic poetical quill he hath naught to fear!

Mine immoral mot, "Where'er thou mayest be let thine water flow free",

I fear shalt ne'er compare to Bill's immortal line, "To be or not to be!"

"He hath eaten me out of house and home!" could be said of mine cat!

(Why could not I have conceived that line - all I can say is drat!)

"A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse!" cried Richard The Third!

(If I had said that, people would have deemed me quite absurd!)

"Brevity is the soul of wit!" and thus "This is the short and long of it!"

Alas, I shan't match wits with Willie so while I'm ahead I'd better quit!

Premium Member Divine Life Journey

“Life --- commenced by God’s love, with soul quickened through His grace, spirit revived in His strength, faith buttressed upon His truth --- abides forever worshipful.” Poet (Beata B. Agustin)

Guilty, devoid of own righteousness in God’s sight
Condemned to hell’s wrath, my soul was transgression-slain
Yet, the Lord reached out to me from His lofty height
Offering compassion of eternal life gain.

Hopelessly perishing, but now redeemed by grace
My spirit praises the Saviour with grateful glow
Exalting His holy name upon Scriptures' brace
While serving in His ministry of blessings’ flow.

Receiver of love’s opulence midst pardon seal
My heart rejoiced for gift that was sacrifice-priced
Such did ransom me from sin torturous ordeal
paid sufficiently by the blood of Jesus Christ.

I cleave* to the Almighty, upheld by His hand
Triumphantly worshipping as His called servant
Sharing the Gospel all the way to promised land
Awaiting His coming; with prayer, observant.

Guilty, devoid of own righteousness in God’s sight
Hopelessly perishing, but now redeemed by grace
Receiver of love’s opulence midst pardon seal
I cleave to the Almighty, upheld by His hand.

*Deuteronomy 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Premium Member Illumined By God

Illumined by God thru the Scriptures’ light
Led to do the Lord’s will with the Spirit’s might
Loved so much around the Saviour’s compassion-delight
Upheld for faith-driven good works’ height
Moved toward grateful worship, joyously bright
Imparted with divine nature that is godly and right
Nourished by grace* and mercy day and night
Assured of eternal salvation’s security for heaven’s flight
Directed along holiness-walk midst spiritual fight
Attended to in prayer plight, I rejoice in the Father's presence, devoid of fright!

Accepted am I as God’s child with His certainty
Guided by His prudent authority
United to His supreme purpose of great sovereignty
Sanctified for effective witness-integrity
Taught to trust always the wisdom of the Almighty
Inspired as enabled in fulfilling steward’s duty
Nurtured with God’s provisions, I abide in His security!

Driven toward willing obedience faithfully
Ordered to share the Gospel diligently
Liberated against selfish agenda powerfully
Instructed with Bible truths constantly
Named as God’s own to live for Him triumphantly
Trained to testify about His goodness gladly
Always, I thank and praise the Lord sincerely.

Tale of the Forgiving Betold

Albeit a notable stretch
that stars wouldst a fairer
share of thee and sheath
thy warm expanse.

Sire, alack thy humble
servant beseech thee,
me Lord, for wouldst
thee taketh to mind
thoust faileth thee but
'tis once at the weest hour.

Shouldst thou beg
the goddesses and
gods forthwith 'tis
thy noble quest for
virtue sake that thou
mayest risk a stable
footing verily proved
thy acts of decency.

Pall's errant gift thee
a habilitating ward,
a silhouette soul, its
quaint steps for a
merciful fortitude.

To seize caring eyes
fortuitous event of
a chartreuse field
of wavery rushes
and vibrancy pell
in crystalline spring.

A dutiful life longing
begrudged in the
greens of Evermore,
mayhaps thoust dwelt
in the recesses of thy
bosoms for they hadst
possesseth thee so
willingly, that thoust
act gently.

Nay, nary an army,
soothly a herald of
dreams that unlade
trails ifsoe'er mingle
charmingly, napping
in cases, perchance
to claim and rescue
thyself and possibly
pretenders begone
and ne'er-do-wells
that causeth a toss
and twirl fortuitously
erelong into the tuck
of episodic twilight's
unraveling sepulchral.

Sparkled specks and a
Chaser to settle scores
natheless thou mentored
souls that dwarf a sea of
their gilded hearts.

Less of a challenge when
substance, and grit, amidst
the generous few whose
serendipitously perpetuates
the moment -- forthwith.

Suite melody be the appeal
in the case of forgiveness
for there is proper cause for
the bestowment allocation
gratuitously and without
delay.

Forbearance is the footing
lain the acts of forgiveness.

Prayer of a Penitent

Lord--
turn not away Thy face

Thou desirest not the death of a sinner

Thou desirest for men to come unto Thee
so that Thou mayest gather them
the way a hen gathers her flock

i have not been true to Thee
i have not harkened to Thy voice

Fair Game

Fair Game
I am The All-Mighty, The Ever-Exalted, The Supremely-Eternal.
To me belongeth the universes, the heavens, the earths, what dwells in-between.
Jinn and Men, I have created, for a sole purpose; duties internal and external.
Worship, glorify, bow, and prostrate before me, but no other; ever-more-pristine.
Revere the sacred books, honor the apostles; believe in the seen and the unseen.
Affirm mine angels, and in destiny, favored and ill-favored, thou must believe.
Be certain of a day, in which the wicked and faithful, their fair dues, shall receive.

I am able to resurrect what lies beneath the grave;
From your first to last, I am able, with but a single word:
“Come unto me!” I say, on an hour that draws near and close; knowledge I save
Into a book that none has touched nor heard.
On a day, unveiled shrewd eyes fear a book of deeds; sorrowful eyes deterred.
Bring unto me the ones that said, “Such a day may never come to lapse,”
And, “It is but one life.” Behold! Unto them comes a day where all shall collapse!

Set before me the ones that claimed, “Three are one” and “One is three.”
I am The One and The Only; I never did beget, nor am I begotten.
Such speech is but idolatry; false lies; ancient myths of your fathers told unto thee.
Christ was but a humble man, out of the devout Virgin’s womb; another miracle
Unto the tribe of Moses, yet they denied in conceit, claiming him a false spectacle.
They neither crucified, nor killed him, and his return marks the Hour;
And for the arrogant and blind-hearted the mere sight of him is ever-sour.

Gather unto me the wicked, the deceitful, and the hypocritical saints and scholars,
That altered my word for mere worldly profit and lame saintly pedestals.
Grudge forth the ones who sinfully distorted my holy verses for miserly dollars.
They chased after a counterfeited paradise, of gaudy looms and deafening lulls.
Lamenting fools curse disdainful saints on a mournful day like fiendish gulls,
The Sovereign inquired the Fire, “Art thou filled?” but, she hungered for more.
Behold a day in which the wicked begs, “Mayest I go back to settle mine score?”

Lost In Lust

Undressed hath I come, to pray a kiss on thy succulent breast

For my eyes lie not against the glory of thy subtle chest

As the Nightingale sings, let my ear hark to the chant of thy appealing charm

Inflict upon my neck, thy lip's seducing balm.

Pasture my dreams with greens from Eden's tale

In me, make your ship that riches and ecstasy forever sail

Thy burning sensation I seek, O! my heart pled thy touch

Thy lustful scent is a healing balm, to it my soul bids in a rush

If thou mayest need, I shall hie across hades to fetch the satisfying wealth

For my skin rises above what thou expect, never shall I explore thee by stealth

With thy matchless gift, unravel the clothes of my covered curiosity,

and in joy shall I appreciate the journey between your gloried thigh in a beautiful
atrocity.

Dispatch not my desire, for my flaming lust shall corrupt my grave

And thou shall not make woe out of me; my insatiable will prevail my save.

Premium Member Precious Book

A bookworm since I have learned to read well
I’d devour leaves which printed knowledge grants
feasting on sumptuous reading delights
to appease cravings of perusal buds...
hence, books as gifts are my precious treasures.

Amidst spiritual metamorphosis
blessed transformation in Christ gripped me
when by faith I trusted the Saviour God
Who offered redemption’s love, grace and joy
through Book of Life He perfectly authored.

With divine freedom, I keep on venturing toward the eternal
propelled by wings of wisdom against fears
thanking the Lord Who authored the Book for mankind
“Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth”
the Bible --- inspired, revealed Word of God.

Complete as milk and meat for soul’s growth gain
great Book nurtures the spirit with virtues
exposing transgressions as mirror does
in reproving, warning, checking the heart…
I welcome in meditating its texts.

Thankful for the Scriptures’ nourishing power
I praise the Almighty with His revival omnipotence
strengthening, sustaining, satisfying
toward meaningful optimum service
while abiding in the Book of the Law.*

Today, I do strive to share the Book’s message
reigning with hope, propped by God’s compassion
prevailing over doubts upon His truth
vanquishing deceit through His assurance ---
that’s my testimony… and grateful for the Word of God I possess.

*Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Assured by the Almighty, I wish to abide always in His authority
Blooming beautifully in His blissfulness’ bounty.

Cared for, I wish I could constantly convey compassion
Delighting the Director Who drives my divine devotion.

Enabled through Christ toward extra-mile engagement
Faith-fervency is my wish to fortify stewardship fulfillment.

Geared by God for good works’ graciousness greatly
Healthy heart of my body wishes to excel in helping hopefully.

Instructed by Scriptures, despite infirmities, to keep on inspiring
Jubilant wishes jolt out vain jests and inhumane jeering.

Kindled to know more from the Sovereign of His kingship
Love-wishes of mine lean toward His light-filled leadership.

Marveling at the Master’s moves midst His magnificent might
Nourished soul* is what I wish through His nurture day and night.

Offering to me reaching-out opportunities to optimize
Prince of peace, and His fellowship, I still wish to prioritize.

Quitting never to leave my Redeemer’s restive quietude
Revival is my wish rejuvenating spirituality’s rectitude.

Settled in the Saviour; in His sufficiency I’m satisfied
Triumphant thanksgiving is my wish to have, all the time, testified.

Upheld unto godly undertakings --- unlimited
Vision heavenly --- I wish to vouch my vows --- victoriously-vented.

Working of the Holy Spirit I wish and pray not to wane
‘Xpecting for miraculous wonders only His ‘xcellence can ‘xplain.

Yearning to please my Creator Who welcomes my “yieldedness”
Zealous am I to live for Him, wishing for His favor’s zestfulness.
