"Pandora's Pearls"
Crystal tears drown under the best velvet distinctive feel
A Ghostly feel that leads into a clear diamond road
I found myself seduced down an Ancient Silk Caravan path,
There she hid behind the golden stones she built around her heart.
She was a white gem against the deepest night
She spoke Latin words upon this dreamy sky
Her eyes were deep and the size of my mother’s midnight pearls
I fell into the stare of her bedroom eyes
Wishing to taste the sweetness of her coconut milk fragrance.
She lowers the cloak to reveal the beauty in her black pearly eyes
Raven hair under her soft sensual disguise
Her lips redder than the violet rays of the sunset
She buried her beauty, and then exposed what’s under the cloak
Soon, her body turned into rot and bones
Her fingers pointed towards another path,
A rugged road of stones and pearls
I took a blade and press it against my skin,
Concealing my life shut, after she revealed all my forbidden sins
Her lip, her eyes, her pearly grin, my last vision as my blood drew thin
A sweet kiss of death, falling into the eyes of Pandora’s Spell

Couplet
continued.......
In his bed she hears him approach with long strides.
The covers are over her head as she pretends to hide.
With one swift yank she is left naked and bare.
Meeting his eyes in a longing appreciative stare.
In his bed he falls swiftly into her welcoming arms.
With a fiery passionate kiss he surrenders to her womanly charms.
She hungers for him like she has for no other.
Just being with him sends her into a delicious shudder.
In his bed she helps him out of his clothes as quickly as she can.
Wanting to feel his skin touching hers yet once again.
She marvels at his physique, he is a feast for her eyes.
She can never get enough of him no matter how much she tries.
In his bed she gives his nipple a lick, then a gentle bite.
Her hand grasps his hardness, they both are filled with delight.
She lowers herself and teases him deliberately with her tongue.
The music that they make together has only just wondrously begun.
In his bed he pulls her gently away, for he is on the verge.
He does not want any waiting time before they finally merge.
His eyes light up as they take in each and every curve.
A giggle escapes her lips as she sweetly whispers....."self serve!"
In his bed he is overcome with hunger, his eyes fill with lust.
His lips trail kisses down her arms before they settle on her bust.
Up and down each leg, not a spot he wants to miss.
He feels her body twitch and tremble from each perfectly placed kiss.
In his bed she feels his tongue lascivious lick her inner thigh.
She marvels at his patience, he is unlike any other guy.
She lets out a gasp as he zooms in on the right spot.
He deftly uses his tongue and lips, shy he is not.
In his bed he hears her breath quicken and feels her body shake.
If this is a dream, then he hopes he'll never wake.
He covers her body with his and miraculously they become one.
The pleasure so immense and they only just begun.

Egnehenots – of earth and stone
Chief elder – most wise upon the Salisbury Plain
an old man . . . loved deeply
revered father of the land
wakes before the sunrise
speaks with a clear wind voice
it is time . . . retniw ecitslos
The twelve bow . . . form together
three to a side
lift Otsego – clear water running
high in the air
in liturgical movements
move across the dark plain
whitlow grass . . . juniper shrubs . . . wild thyme . . .
sweeten the air
moss laden stones
soft upon leather-bound feet
Within the wind
haunting cries of the stone curlew
crested newts scramble for cover
the great bustard cuts the air with powerful wing beats
Ancient burial mounds appear
a sacred circle of life emergences
the procession stops . . . lowers
Egnehenots steps down, blesses the twelve
enters the holy inner circle alone
Laying his head against the mighty sarsens
begins to chant . . .
father of the blue stones
creator of the big sky light
upon these rocks I cling for your life
from sky, to earth let your love flow
On this holy day
your strength is once again revealed
wind and rain obey your commands
days, nights, seasons march to your song
how great and mighty is your power
Hear our cries upon the wind
absorb our tears upon the earth
our breath upon your mighty rocks
be now amongst your people
send forth the sun and rain
let the earth bring forth its riches
so that we may dance in your radiance
The sun breaks the horizon
Sending out shafts of lights
streaking across the sky
clouds turning purple then into shades of reds, oranges
a single ray of light strikes forth
straight as an arrow
illuminating the altar stone
connecting slaughter stone
and finally . . . the heel stone
Where
Where, an old man clings
A loud cheer explodes from the village
Food and wind flow – a celebration
A new year begins -
Rain clouds appear in the west
Egnehenots – of earth and stone
Love Generously

Beauty of this creation
A glow of Indian yellow peeks through the tall gray trees
All scattered on the hill, colored white with recent fallen snow
The sun lowers, leaving clouds tinted gray with lightened edges
Floating in the blue to see, before darkness settles in and temperatures drop
It is a cold December evening approaching, while pastel views brighten pink
A day filled with quality time merges with a night pending full of rest
Until we waken again, to the beauty of this creation waiting for us
- To look, remember and cherish -

Abecedarian
Stripes of yellow, gray and blue,
mixed with lavender too...
Spread across the distant sky
The strong wind goes howling by
Windchimes conduct music to hear,
amplifying a beautiful sunset
The sun lowers and removes regret,
Beginnings are born at the end of the day,
as dreams are created in tunes that play

An idyllic Saturday evening scene-
on our street, little kids play
‘touch and go’. Excited shrieks
and laughter warm the chilled February air,
pavement alive with little feet's patter.
My neighbor’s Golden Labrador does it again:
he slips out just as his owner
drives through the tall, wide open iron gate.
Marley runs after the laughter-
playful, in his ferocious way.
Neighbor stops, engine idling,
and looks intently as a frightened child,
no more than ten, runs screaming in terror.
In hot pursuit, teeth bared, barking
with all his might, Marley obviously
enjoys the chase. I command the dog to stop
as I reach the child, his body trembling.
I look at my neighbor's eyes - waiting.
He lowers his lashes, shifts the gear,
tells his help to get Marley, and goes on his way.
In a perfect world, a little child would not know
the meaning of terror and passive cruelty,
all in one breath. He would not have to feel
less valued than a pricey, crossbreed dog.

Prose Poetry
Shimmering over a glassy sea, a moonlight carpet beams.
My walkway high to a starlit sky of memories from my dreams.
There mighty Taurus, rip-snortin’ bull, lowers his horns for battle.
Naked on his shoulders Seven Sisters ride side-saddle.
Dazzling diamonds, blue-white ice,
blazing through nebulosity.
Merope mocked and mooned me twice,
twerking with faux ferocity.
“Begone now, mortal, from my sight,
who dares defile the very night.
Look down upon the moonlit glade,
bear witness to the mayhem made.”
Agape, the Pleiad sisters wailed while yonder Cetus spouted.
“The culprit must be caught and jailed,” the rueful Virgo shouted.
The heavens heaved, so much offended,
torn fabric of time could not be mended.
Then darkness fell like a clap of thunder,
were it not for Einstein’s Biggest Blunder,
the Universe was blown asunder.
Who once wrote “God plays not with dice,”
had not known anything of such vice,
said: “Reading erotic poetry can’t compete with cosmic knowitry.”

The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.
Everything was created to perfection.
Order and harmony was its reflection.
The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.
Are a world unto them selves .
Man portraying his pigmy elves.
The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.
We - a voice creating a wilderness.
Many try not to, this I must confess.
The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.
|Are we able to become the salvation ?
for Mother Earth, Mother Natures creation.
The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.
Will the meek stand up and tower
over the strangest Creature’s power ?
The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.
Is faced with inevitable doom
as this little blue planet lowers the boom.
The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.

They sit on the porch swing.
No words are said.
He just looks to his right,
and sees his first love staring back at him.
She lowers her head,
Eyes filled with tears,
Breaks the silence..
'This growing up stuff isn't fair'
He says;
'I don't really want to go,I don't want to leave this here unfinished'
[So that's why you're going to break my heart] she thinks.
He plants a kiss on her forehead.
And says, 'this is what I've gotta do'
"I understand" she said.
..knowing he could see right through..
Her smile, and the unsure laugh.
So he wraps his arms around her tight.
Tries to take away the pain.
But that'll never happen.
She doesn't want to be alone.
But he needs to be.
She doesn't want to give up.
but he does.
she says goodbye, doesn't let him see her cry.
all the while, she's falling apart.
she walks away, and doesn't look back.
knowing he's doing the same.
for the last time.
she waits.
she goes home.
she sits alone.
and breaksdown.
he flys.
across the world.
he lives.
he loves.
he leaves.

Narrative
Stems that stretch out to reach warmth
Undulating in a dewy field
Nodding approval to passersby
Flowers that stand out, boasting huge blooms
Leaving lasting impressions
Our hearts keep these memories
When they fade in autumn’s chill
Each bloom scatters seeds
Replenishing the specie and ensuring their return when
Summer beckons once more

Nothing savored Nothing cherished
Chewing wood, spitting silk
Hating every creeping moment
till darkness lowers and laps at my toes
Blessed darkness gives me a cave
where I may retreat from all hateful, glossy life -
oblivion with eyes wide open
Monumental sorrow grinds my guts to dust
Hopelessness, a perversion that licks my ear
and whispers obscene melodies.
An ache to take out the tools
used to mark my hatred on myself
Hope is a lie believed by fools and sinners
That baked desert called my mind spits dust on dreams.
Trapped by iron bars bleeding despair
my face is a pale moon of desolation
peering out on savage scenes of normalcy.
Fingers tremble on the keyboard
longing to smash its plastic against my head.
Some say how sweet and gentle I am
I can’t wait to escape and laugh at their gullibility. . .
had I an ax I would chop off my haunting countenance
and hide the pieces in brown paper bags
flung into back yards around the town
Am I sweet and gentle as they say
but refuse the treacle of the words
Or have I acted upon the stage so well
I have become what I loathe to be

Dramatic Verse
How we love this secluded pond
He lowers me to the grass
And on my stomach I watch
Little beetles, blue dragonflies
Transparent wings fluttering
soft humming near my ears
My smiles born broadly in sunlight
His tender hands hold my back
to his chest. And in the shallow
pool numerous tadpoles curiously
investigate my otherwise useless
legs without pity or shame
He smiles words of joy to me
In my ears and to my mouth
Red squirrel clambers
the tree near our temporary
bed where his hands fumble
and his mouth smiles broadly
between my hands, breeze
lifting my curls as wings
on small hummingbirds
From the corners of his eyes
The lazy luce ponders the strange
ways of human tenderness
While he holds me in his
endless loving patience
That doesn't care about ability
Just we, water, sun and together
