Race of a Lifetime

He skis down the slopes
of a snow covered mountain
racing against time
and his main adversary...
avalanche in hot pursuit.

this was another very good entry, with a strong last line; i liked the contrast of "hot pursuit" with the cold snowy mountains - congrats on your win in my contest :)

Ha! Not much of a race when an Avalanche is your competition. They win hands down (arms down, legs down, heads up; we hope)! Fun one!

Hi Jan! Although this is a traditional tanka, I did try to make the content somewhat modern. Hope Charlotte will like it! hugs // paul

I have seen daring skiers try to beat the avalanche. It is chilling. I don't ski but love to watch it in IMAX or on t.v. A great entry Paul! ; )

Yes, Connie, watching action like this on IMAX is very entertaining, but I personally would not want to be part of it! (I have never been skiing, and I know that it can be a dangerous sport). Thank you for reading and liking:) Regards // paul
