What is it like to be a sex god?
To know the exact spot that will rock their worlds in ways
never seen before and never seen again, their parting words,
You are a God!
.
To have them scream your name, knowing
as soon as they’re gone you sit alone,
eating cold spaghetti from a can,
as you continue to detach yourself from
another emotionless encounter.
Nonetheless, they know you’re a god.
.
What is it to be this god with
so many lovers yet never knowing some names,
or what should solidify what you’ve shared?
The object of their fantasies yet to never see
“I love you” in their eyes, or hear it from
the lips of one lying beside you the next morning,
for there’s no one there.
.
What is it to be a sex god ruling none
for once those words are uttered, their worship is gone.
The god who rules universes of lust
where stars flash but never ignite,
leaving blackened skies crying out for full moons.
The god who has never felt another’s heart beat against his own,
who cries himself to sleep for the mistakes he’s made,
longing for the anticipation of 1,000 kisses that stand still in time?
.
I am this god, and I stand alone.
This is who I am
My name is Stanislaus J. O’Connor
Born on April 17th in Belfast, Ireland
Youngest of eight children
My father admired the Polish people
The way they fought
During the last Great War
When the odds were against them
Wanted me to be strong
Like them
So he named me Stanislaus.
I carried that name
Not without some teasing
Took it in stride
Solidarity came along
Organized by Polish dock workers in the 1980’s
Ended Communist rule
Father remembered stories
Of 1910
When ten thousand dock workers went on strike
Closed Belfast down
Taught the Brits a lesson.
Young, unemployed and drunk
I saw an artist friend of mine
He worked on me all day
Not stopping except to wipe the drippings on my back
I felt no particular pain
Jut laid there flat on my stomach
Waiting
When it was over
I had the color and imagery
From the tattoo
Of a Polish Cross.
Listened to the people
Took to the streets
In the struggle
Against the Brits
One night
Strangers jumped out of the shadows
Put flashlights to my eyes
Stood me up
Led me out
In handcuffs.
At HM Prison Maze I was kept in a small cell
Occasionally let out to walk in the prison yard
One summer afternoon
I took off my shirt
Paddy asked me what’s that on your back
Polish Cross I said
Murmur of voices
Fellow inmates hesitated
Someone near the wall broke the silence,
“Let him be. God is in every cross.”
In despair a cell mate said he couldn’t take it anymore
Afraid that he would die in prison
Recalling words
From an old Catholic catechism
I said
“No man can learn what his heart cannot hold“.
I made up the rest
“Tell God what you stand for
He’ll understand
And forgive you.”
Ten years later
Dragged from my cell
Feet barely touching ground
I was released on amnesty.
Coming home
Family met me
Open arms
Some traveled from faraway
Felt good
To touch warm hands
Climbed to the top of Cavehill
Seagulls
Glide in lazy circles
Twelve hundred feet above sea level
Overlooking Belfast
From its heights
The world can be seen
Across a wind swept ocean of dark memories
Of what once was
My youth.
I live in Tucson, in a trailer court on the South side
All Mexican, except for me the old Gringo
I speak Spanish, can get along with most anyone
With all the Mexican border drugs, things can get wild
I am getting old and taking things slow
Was sort of a paradise in the Arizona Sun
The owner has lights, security cameras, claims to be drug free
Even claims to be a heavy duty born again
Not like us old folks and sinner on the South
After a couple of years of watching, seemed counterfeit to me
Said by him last weekend, "This land is blessed, sin cannot get in"
He is one of those feller, born with a silver spoon in his mouth
There has been a murder conspiracy after me for years
By the Old Witch and the Mexican Mafia that continues
Severel months back I could feel a change in the atmosphere
It was the old witch had moved in, with her bucket of fears
Trying to scare me and make me sing the blues
Make me think that my end was near
But then last weekend I saw it all, a crystal ball view
The owner lives in California, was in town
Fell on hard times and the park is empty
Went to the witch and money people, "Anything that is what I will do"
But soon the Devil will let him down
Only to add to his up coming misery
He sold his soul to the Devil, just for a little gain
And maybe when it all comes down, will end this conspiracy
A long story made short, to the court I will report
Set me free, for him will be eternal pain
For a man that sold his soul, God can give no mercy
There are no troops in his fort
Tried to take my last dime, leave me down and out
But I knew that God would not let me fail
I can over come this evil pair
With God, the Devil cannot run me out
You see if have sort of left a "Paper Trail"
"Joe you have sold your soul, you don't even have a prayer"
The world did wear you down and on you passed.
Nightmares of young did press your eyes to close,
But God has gathered you and him at last.
Today we mourn for you, with hearts half-mast,
Today your joy above joins here our woes.
The world did wear you down and on you passed.
Now Zion holds you in its streets, so vast,
Your withered hands and shining soul repose.
But God has gathered you and him at last.
Gehenna reaps none of what it has cast,
Sheol takes skins and God what he now sows.
The world did wear you down and on you passed.
The space where you once stood won’t fill so fast,
Your words will warm in us what hate once froze,
But God has gathered you and him at last.
Go meet Allah and He, your loves, in grassed,
Unfettered fields. Your death on Earth now shows
The world did wear you down and on you passed,
But God has gathered you and him at last.
what a sunrise!
what a day!
God in front
to take all good deed people
all in line for god to select
I alone was left behind
unhappy unsatisfied i asked
"why not me?
i help i donate
never i asked for your help
never i cheated to top
never i wanted partiality
never i wanted to be selected
never i was unsatisfied
never i asked anything from you
never i was furious
never i had ill thoughts
never i wanted to harm others
i wanted happiness all around
always i loved beings
then why not me?
why why and why?"
god politely replied
"see flash back
you proved all things said wrong
you want heaven from me
you want me to be partial
you are furious
you want to be selected
you are unsatisfied.
this was a test for heaven
which all had given
proving wrong but trying hard
you are proved wrong for this time
so i keep you on earth for a noble cause
the one you did
spreading HAPPINESS
live life without want"
suddenly god disappeared
leaving me with a new view of life
so i will try try try
vrushani thaker
Hear my cry for mercy
as i call to you for help
as i lift my hands
toward your Most Holy Place.
Do not reject or forsake me
O God my Savior.
In the land of the living-
I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.
May integrity and uprightness
protect me because my hope is in you.
Then my head will be exalted above
the enemies who surround me.
Teach me your way O Lord
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors
Do not reject me or forsake me
O God my Savior.
The Lord is the Strength of His people, a fortress of
Salvation for His anointed one.
Be their Shepherd and
carry them
FOREVER.
Dear Jesus, did you know,
I have a Joseph, too?
Mine, like yours, is kind and gentle,
Loyal, loving, and true.
Like your Joseph, God sent him
To guard and protect our family,
And through the years he's done just that,
He's really very special to me.
Your Joseph, we've known as 'Saint'
by those who love the Lord.
He answered God's call with faith like steel,
Just as it was implored.
My Joseph, too, has led a good life,
With God at his center each day.
Through happy times and painful moments,
Mine knew you would lead the way.
Your Joseph, we call your 'foster father',
The best 'Pop' you could have had.
As for mine, he's been such a gift,
And I just call him 'Dad'.
We are all sinners and we know it
Greed and temptation are some of the tools
That old Satan knows how to use well
God has no problem if we make a profit
If we do it his way and don't act like fools
Or we will be playing card in Hell
The Devil deals from the bottom of the deck
Always has a crooked ace up his sleeve
Tell you he has a ace in the hole
And just waiting for you to end up in a wreck
Unless you let God be the coach and believe
'Or the Devil will have your soul
God does not play cards with Satan
But he does know all the trick, he is the real deal
There is no gamble in his game
He know what Satan can do to a man
And make one dizzy with his old spinning wheel
You see there is no shame in his game
Has Lady Luck there to temp and lead you on
He know that he is a cheat and cannot do it alone
Making the stakes higher and you have to play
When it is over, they are both gone
Cut your throat and to the bone
Your best bet is let God be your dealer everyday
No more invisible speechless, deaf and blind child
With neglected pleasures being addicted to denial
Floating through time, gravitating towards a warm arm
With an appetite for the emptiness that promises no harm
No more uncontrollable eruptions of emotional depression
A primal S.O.S. from the barren prison of selfless expression
that only the guilty with the innocent
Souls-know buried in social scar tissue of defective ego
No more relentless sifting through bodies seeking self
Settling through competitive combat for what's left on the shelf.
A mad melee of supply and demand driven by gullible pride that
leads to sedating the you that suffocates inside
No more - forever no more - because I've unshut my eyes
And the differences between God's word and Man's Wills was realized
Seeing opposing parallel lives some liquid, other frozen. Let me to never
seek from man what God has chosen.
Then the negative whispering subsided and the panicking ceased
the undercurrent suppression of pent-up terror was released as the
mystery of the unknown manifested pristine clear A positive message
of truth entered my ear
Now, across my face is a brand new smile
With a newly revealed meaning of a "Destine Child"
A message of hope is being released from my Heart
And I am overwhelmed with dedication to do my part
All I ever wanted was to be as I once was - Unbounded
Somehow it got all twisted and before long sounded
As though life was continuous connive-thrive-drive
Choking out the simple joy of just being alive
Now I am filled with love and I sing a love song
A song for yesterday, today, tomorrow, and beyond
My new prayer is - Thank You God for setting Me Free
And Thank You God - For Giving Me back Me
T'was the autumn of his life,
It had not been easy for it had contained much strife.
Now that the light was growing more dim,
He realized that without much change his eternal future looked quite dim.
It wasn't that he did not believe, it just had not fit in with the life he had led,
Looking back, he wished he had made those better choices than the ones he made instead.
But time has a way of slowing us down so certain things more clearly we see.
Like how unimportant our priorities are when we humble ourselves in prayer on bended knees.
We are but servants to a just and mighty God who only wants to give the best to all of us,
But there are too many who serve the wrong one, the one who likes to see us fuss.
He leads us to believe we can do anything we choose,
( this counterfeit god ), but in the end he knows it is our soul we stand to lose.
He said with time on my hands, Lord, I've read your Word and understand,
How foolish and wrong we all are when we don't follow what you command!
And like children, this, when we obey, we in turn show our love for you,
And when we are disobedient, we offend you in all we do!
So Lord what days I have left, I will do my best to serve just you,
And follow your word so pure and true.
And when my course is run, and on that final judgment day,
I hope to hear “enter in” are the two words I hope to hear you say.
To get the life that is heaven sent, you have to give God 100 percent. Ninety nine
and a half won't due. God is a jealous God. He wants all of you. Another tip in living
the life that's true! 1-12-11
Totally abandoned and all alone,
she's left to fend for herself in a world so cruel, so unknown.
Just a few days ago all was fine,
till she fell asleep at the wheel, and crossed that yellow line.
How she survived the crash is anybody's guess,
but the one fact she does know is it left her life in a horrible mess.
A loving husband and her baby boy, now just memories and the hurt won't go away,
she was a good mother and a loving wife, is what she heard the people say.
But in her own mind those dark clouds will never set her free,
how can that love ever be replaced, she exclaims it can never be.
With no will to live, she lowers her head and bends her knees,
and cries out Father, I need you, please, please hear my pleas!
In almost an instant, a calm feels the room,
and she feels a peace start to blossom and bloom.
As quickly as the burden came,
it's lifted along with all the blame.
With a new lease on life, the world is not so bad,
although she still misses the ones she loved, her memories now are of the good times that
they once had.
With God in your heart and a prayer on your lip,
the love and mercy of God gives you strength and a mighty powerful partnership!
I watched as they acted as though they were God themselves,
Proud like a peacock with their diplomas on the shelves,
Always looking down their nose at the lost, thinking they themselves held the only key,
Like the Pharisee’s of old, these are the ones who need to take a knee.
But they were so full of their selves to even have a clue,
And forgetting that they themselves would be judged just as harshly as me and you.
I guess some things time never seems to change,
Just maybe the names and faces look a little strange.
Then there are those that really seem to care,
And go to great links to help those in need and really try to share.
And these are the ones God blesses and sits aside their rewards,
As they are put to the test sometimes fairly easy but on the average their tests prove
pretty hard.
These are the ones that seek out the lonely, the needy, and the spiritually lost,
And it’s not a one time thing, it’s ongoing and they absorb the heft of the cost.
These are the shepherds, the peacemakers, that gather in the flock,
They hired on to do a job and their timecards are punched in on our Fathers clock.
24 hours to live…I need to hurry and come up with a plan
It’s only right to “worry” because I haven’t been half the man
23 hours to live…An hour gone by, I wanna break down and cry;
Because I know with twenty-three hours to go, and I will die!
22 hours to live…I sat down to make amends with my Mother
While I was there, although he didn’t care, I asked forgiveness from my brother.
I forgave my Mother and she forgave me;
18 hours to live…I called my uncle and aunts to tell them I hate what we have gone through.
16 hours to live…I visited my sister and we reminisced about growing up together
The fights, the fun; the tears and laughter will be cherished forever!
18 hours to live…I visited my Momma’s grave, and told her I’d be seeing her soon.
I then placed a white rose I chose, on her headstone and cried that afternoon
13 hours to live…I called up each one of my baby girls and asked them to come see me
I told them they were my world and asked them to accept my apology
I spent five hours with my daughters ‘because I had so much to say
I told them about life and the birds and the bees; about the importance of an
Education, sacrifice and family.
I kissed and held Jasmine, Brianna and Lillian, then told them they had to go;
I reminded them to always pray, ‘cause there will come a day, when I’ll see
Them again, beyond the rainbow!
8 hours to live…My Peanut Butter came over and we made passionate love like never Before.
I told her she was my best friend and her love I’ll always adore.
We held one another, kissed, touched, laughed as the hours ticked by.
I got out of bed, kissed her forehead and for once I was the one to cry!
She then left the house knowing I needed to be alone
I couldn’t help but notice the time and my racing heart beneath my breastbone!
3 hours to live…Alone in my room, I fell to my knees
I prayed to my God to heal me my spiritual disease
I asked for forgiveness for all the sins I’ve ever done
I even asked God if he would make it his business to accept me as his son
I prayed, I talked to Him well into the final hour
0 hours to live…No more pain. I felt my life force drain
And then awoke in Heaven surrounded by white flowers!!!
Note: Entry for Waylayee Whitlock's "If I had One Last Day To Live" Contest
If we’ve never needed the Lord before,
We surely do need him now Him now.
How do we get help from Him?
We should all pray that’s how.
We should stop trying,
To fix situations ourselves.
Gather our burdens,
And down at the altar bow.
Say what is needed to say,
Don’t wait for a special time,
Or place. Do it now, today!
Ask God,
To fill in every empty space,
In our hearts.
Beg Him,
To erase doubt and increase faith.
Read the Word of God today.
We all need the Lord, now.
His blessings on us he will shine,
To cure all of the sickness of the world,
To destroy all of the snares and toils.
We need His fresh oil,
To lubricate our souls,
To help us with the world that is cold.
We need a revival.
Only with Him, we have true survival,
Of all the mess that Satan scourges on us,
And from us taking.
Don’t walk around here depressed.
Give it to God and He’ll do the rest.
Once you give it up today to Him,
Everything will be fine.
What time is it, people?
It’s praying time.
