Best Life And Love Poems
I sit alone as evening claims the day,
with common crow my only confidant.
I watch the sun sink slowly in the bay
while musing life and love so nonchalant.
As night descends upon my humble soul,
my furtive feelings ponder kinship lost.
I’m missing precious love that makes me whole;
my dearest darling gone at such a cost.
And woe I say, why did she go away,
and leave my heavy heart in agony;
behind, my shallow spirit here to stay;
she cast our love away so damnably.
Alas, I rue thee, my ascetic life,
and long to lance my heart with wretched knife.

LIFE AND LOVE - double
the stockyards
a hoard of brown steers streaming
such trusting innocence
this outrage in the dust
i want to cry
then this
love moment
a fated brown beast
catches my eye
Dave Austin
Streaked across the astral sky
a cosmic snowball friend
off to points unknown
in space and time
and time again,
a smile imprinted
on my mind,
though sometimes..
your long dusty ion tail
makes me sneeze
meek's deep solar wind
left a bright arching trail
and in its fading beauty
an aching learned
so well,
life and love are fleeting..
You're spending time in isolation now
Nobody comes to visit anymore
You've things to say, but really don't know how
To get your message past the bedroom door
Try poetry! It's fun and it's quite cheap
Express yourself, whatever's on your mind
Plant seeds your loved ones 'ventually reap
You'll do the world a favor, sweetest kind
Tell folks about the virtues you hold dear
Consistency ... Reliability
Integrity and Honesty, that's clear
Old-fashioned, but as good as gold can be
When you look back on life and love, you'll see
You'll frame your legacy with poetry

Life is both a sunshine and rain
There's drop of sweat for every grain
Nothing lasts forever but love
Heaven is not always above
For every scar, there is story
For every pain, there is glory
Stars are brighter when night is dark
For every forge, there is a spark
Don't dive deep in sea of sorrow
Plan instead for bright tomorrow
For, dark maybe is yesterday
Sun soon will rise for bright new day
Don't dwell too much on things of vain
For, foolish things don't bring you gain
Time soon may come to say goodbye
But greatest deeds may never die

LIFE AND LOVE.....................HAIKU #12,068-12,073
Poverty stricken
Vital innards and limbs wins
Five Olympic gold.
He drank and sang songs
And strummed on dashboard of car
Then fell dead at noon.
My very white friend
Eloped in Spring, her wedding
Guests all dressed in black.
Fresh off press of life
He tumbled into God's hands
And kicked addiction.
Intoxicated
With his new love, he jumped ship
And kicked addiction.
Oh for the love of
Rain, my lover sits far off
His voice on the phone.

>> Life and Love of Lincoln
>> Saw many waves of worthy slaves;
>> One day will end up in their graves;
>> Before to each baby had given birth,
>> To those living life on this earth.
>> All grow up to be women and men;
>> Life's cycle started all over again;
>> Brought into world by their wives,
>> Who would welcome all new lives.
>> Out in cotton fields had been picking,
>> As hands of time did continue ticking;
>> Later off to church, they liked to go;
>> Sang so sweetly and faces did glow.
>> Anything, they surely would do,
>> Which made many dreams come true;
>> Some may seem small to you and me,
>> By slaves who wanted to be free.
>> Lincoln's legacy had been passed,
>> Created by him forever to last;
>> While watching a play on some stage,
>> Was killed by person with much rage.
>> Life and love of Lincoln lingers on;
>> Up into heaven, he now has gone;
>> When Gettysburg Address, we do say;
>> Voice of him can be heard everyday.
LIFE AND LOVE
LIFE’S 1ST LOVE – FOREVER AND EVER
Some couples,
Fall in love on the double,
Others take years to tie the knot,
Yet others are happy to shack
Up with their mate,
Better to know early in a relationship
Rather than late,
What is to be their fate!
Their promise of infinite love declared
Every day,
In every possible way,
Is hopefully why they want to
Be together,
Forever and ever,
And therein is the cue,
And the obvious clue,
That their destiny for their remaining life,
Is to be a partner, a husband or a wife.
LIFE’S 2nd LOVE – FOR MY BRIDE
Will you be my bride,
And stand by my side,
Down by the sea,
As we watch the tide,
Will you hold my hand,
And be my guide,
As I marry you with oh such pride,
Will you say I do,
As we both pursue,
A life that is real,
And with all that we feel.
Whether good or bad,
Or happy or sad,
I’ll be there for you,
Our whole life through!
LIFE’S 3rd AND FINAL LOVE – TRUE PARTNERS
I want to see and do with you,
Our years on earth are all too few,
I want to share and to explore,
Only with you as we mature.
There is so much that we must learn,
With both our minds and bodies stern.
I hope a soft, sweet wind will show the way,
Sweep over us, and take us far away,
To unknown lands,
Where golden sands,
Will wake us every day!
How does love twist & turn
Sometimes cool & light
Others scorch & burn
Peaks & valleys like Appalachian hills
Sometimes be careless
Or others just for thrills
How does love evolve from heat & passion
After children & careers
Yields less satisfaction
Physically, maybe so
Time can change that, we know
Though something else begins to grow
A new entrapment if you will
Like vines encasing old houses
But this is a different drill
Invisible foliage from heart to heart
Reaching & yearning
Never to wedge or cut apart
By lifes' rivers & rocks
Debates & disagreements
Hatred love blocks
Love preserved by these things
Not damaged or destroyed
Made stronger & tougher, these strings
Of invisible, hungry vines on a mission
Growing, invading, encasing
And all with the others' permission
This unified possession & control
This melding & merger of hearts
As young lovers grow old.
it starts with a gaze a smile
walk past someone you admire
gather youir emontions
feel your thoughts
by much amazement
you find your self tangled
in lust
amazing, how much you can feel
and take that rollercoaster ride
enjoy the chase
its fun for awhile
the everlasting gaze
you seek for a mile
the anticipation erupts for a Short time
no matter what place or what time
and where your at in your life
love can come with an blink of eye
easily givien.. simply taken
we run with our hearts
only to be caught up through time
live for the now
live for the emontions
not a single care for heartache
for comontions
only to suffer
by what is before us
a simple gaze a touch
a smile from all the above
the scent comming from a mile
compare to an emontion we crave to have
again only for a short while..
We strive for that passion
the touch
that feeling of being one
when you look into her eyes and just feel
home again .. im home
im happy and i feel free
free at last..
hope you never wake up from this dream
of feeling love and all its benefits
having to love someone so much
such larger then life itself..
having to feel alive..
we crave
we gaze..
we walk on
we do the above over and over again
in search for love
for the knowing that we are not alone
we all crave the passion.. for chasing for loving
the choice of oppertunity
the love
The laws of attraction, rules or abstraction?
For keeping life in check and at bay.
Is love and the divine merely centrifugal force sublime
and God a form of magnetism, attraction that sways?
If we look deep out our own focus and sweep
our ability to grasp and construct
Within our own cells the laws of the universe tells atoms and electrons orbiting away
When it comes right down to it, all things are constructed through it and all energy, light and why not love are born this way ?
For if its the transfer of might, that creates light why can't God in the universe be "love".
So love is attraction, and centrifugal force in abstraction keeping things moving together through space
And an exchange of ideas is merely mutating your molecules as I steal or bring your electrons to excite
And neutrons and protons the defining chemical phonemes the very base of our simplification of all...
For we are all little worlds of whirling galaxies through space and time waiting
and evolving to share energy and become one for a while
changing the very elements of your being
And we move through space, never remaining in place to go on throughout history evolving human kind

But Truth Is Life And Love Is So Very Much More
Yes, these words do fly away from a poet's heart
As I give mind, soul and my all, so let us start
First comes is, world is evil and the earth is round
Lightning strikes well before you hear the blasting sound
Let us carry on with a few poetic words
About life and this wide, wide world's vast teeming herds
And this thing called humanity and its ways
Maybe toss in Shakespeare and his fantastic plays
Or not, since many think that wrong and thus object
Poetry should be more than a fancy subject
So we jump on to truth about Nature et al
The resounding beauty of it in the late Fall
How a walk in the woods can heal a troubled soul
And ponder the why Life oft takes a heavy toll
Or happiness is treasure that we know it be
Our nation is a gem from sea to shining sea
Why we seek a soulmate, we look for a true love
And if we are smart we pray to our God above
If worthy, we may live unto a ripe old age
If greatly blessed, we may become an old sage
That will gift the darken world in wisdom he shares
Maybe write a bestselling book if anybody cares.
A story well told about wild ways of ones' youth
Must be presented with the wildness of its truth
How so much was great fun but also was some bad
Maybe its strange even with its joys and some sad
But all in all, a poet many things may tell
About this space down here between Heaven and Hell
Lest I forget there are some that do not believe
Live life as a gamble, with spaded ace up the sleeve
Thinking it fable, so they can do as they please
Or else play games ready made to deceive
Life and love, a topic most people know about
A great many live it all without a shout
Some might even say, it is a beautiful thing
They write their loving songs and so joyously sing
But truth is life and love is so very much more
A human has a soul so deep, deep in his core
To more words and other written meanderings
Any poet must know first his own beating heart
Sharing the real truth first would always be his start
I lived wild back then and loved with my all
So when poetry summoned I answered its call
Now to bring these meanderings to conclusion
This mirage just shows, we are all an illusion.

Life is a ".b.itch"
She warms your heart with a sweet loving kiss
And mends your soul with her sweet saying lips.
Until she doesn't and lets you fall deep down, in the dark ditch.
Love is a witch,
She holds you captive in wonderful thoughts
And makes sure you're fattened up with goodness, lots and lots
Until she doesn't and let's you fight deep down, the miserable itch.
MORESO,
Life is a fickle mistress,
She gives a warm embrace and a tender kiss,
Mending your soul with her gentle touch and bliss,
Till she turns her back and leaves you in the abyss.
Love is a cunning sorceress,
She enchants you with her captivating caress,
Filling your heart with joy and happiness,
Till she disappears and leaves you in distress.
Selah.
Indeed the very
word grand shall sum up two gifts,
each life and love were
gifted the very moments to
those fortunate upon birth.
