Best Kashmir Poems
Kashmir is the innocent beauty of nature
It lifted me above all mire dark and dense.
Kashmir is the divine smile
It gifted me a peace beyond all of my sense.
Kashmir is the sorrow
It showed me a combined pain of poverty, corruption and terrorism.
Kashmir is the beautiful helpless unmarried woman.
Whose neighbors are trying to capture her body not sweet heart.
Kashmir is the paradise on earth without dream...

Within Armpits of
Snow-flakes-dipped
Quivering trees,
Cuddled with
Pale puffy leaves
Perspiring fogs,
Nevertheless
Siblings
In transition of
Crisis times,
Oddly red
Plump apples
Hide within
Wombs of snow,
Hungry red robins
Performing
Midwifery...

Concluding Part of
Oh’ Kashmir - Last Part 2
One grave mistake was
Shown by the decision makers
Of Kashmir,
To convert the green valley,
Into a valley of concrete.
Dams, buildings and houses,
Were built on places,
Which were the nourishing orchards of Nature. ..08
Changed by the greedy lovers of money,
The builders,
Who built tall buildings and dams,
At the cost of destroying
Brooks and streams,
Lakes and forests, the serene hills
And the meadows,
Which always reminds us,
As the playground of shepherds,
Without caring for
Trees, plants, animals and seasons,
Which always remains the back bone
Of every civilization. 09
Another grave mistake was
That when some people were trying
To drive out,
Several thousands of those innocents,
Who were the inhabitants of Kashmir,
'The Kashmiri Pandits'.
Those who were living there,
In Jammu and Kashmir,
Since thousands of years,
Couldn’t get any solid support,
From their friends and neighbors,
When they were forced to leave Kashmir,
And their friends and neighbors,
Who could have stopped the miscreants. 10
But the others remained only
A silent spectator,
While watching the destruction,
Of their friends and neighbors,
By those, who wanted to make,
Their own separate heaven,
Without the presence,
Of the blooming smiles,
Of these innocents,
Who were their friends, their intimates,
And their childhood companions. 11
Since a long time,
These people in exile
Are living in roofless homes,
With tents on their heads,
They were ignored and were thrown out,
As if, they were not humans,
And not the oldest inhabitants of the valley. 12
Even after the flood of fifth September
When the army men were trying,
To put a healing balm,
Even at the cost of their lives,
On the suffering masses,
Trapped in the disastrous flood,
During the floods havoc prime time,
Some people were throwing stones,
On choppers and on these men in service,
So that the suffering masses,
May not get,
The life giving water, foods and medicines. 13
Perhaps the Nature has not liked,
Some of these actions,
And has shown its anger,
As never before in the history of this land,
To make us realize,
The serious follies and mistakes. 14

Oh' Kashmir
Oh' J & Kashmir
My heart is aching,
And tears coming out from my eyes,
And from the eyes,
Of millions of your other countrymen,
From Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari,
Because you are in terrible pains and sufferings,
And you are a part,
Of our heart and soul
And of our day to day's bearings. *. 1
But you cannot blame,
The destiny and Nature,
As the flood,
Which has destroyed,
Your homes and the valley,
Is the result of,
Some of your own deeds and creations. 2
Of blindly cutting and crushing,
All those tender or grown-up
Plants and trees,
Which gave the valley
The evergreen seasons and flowerings
And the nectar likes fruits and
A place which is near to the heaven.3
With the air and seasons,
So refreshing,
And the serenity of snow falls,
And flowers,
So blooming and smiling. 04
But these tender saplings of Nature,
Were mercilessly killed and slaughtered,
Without caring for their feelings and emotions,
The destructions,
Of all those beautiful trees and plants,
Who were the most cherished darlings,
Of all the Hills, Clouds and Rains,
And they were also,
The darling of the cultural heritage,
Of Himalaya and this ancient land of India. 05
You never realized,
That only on the loving invitations,
Of these hills, trees, green plants,
And of the brooks and streams,
The clouds come,
While riding on the winds,
To shower,
Their nectar like love rains,
Which quench the thirst of Earth,
And of every insects and human beings,
And then only they spread a blooming smile,
On every trees and plants,
And on every brook and stream. 06
Some of you thought,
That the heavens can be built,
By removing the forests and plants,
And by keeping yourself in isolation,
You thought to spread the concrete jungles,
Where there was the serenity of orchards,
Trees and plants, hills and flowers,
Lakes and natural streams,
Which always feel happy to flow,
Amid the safe and longing strong arms,
Of Nature,
Which used to stand earlier,
On every footsteps of these hills,
As a deterrent against the fury of Nature. 07

TO BE CONCLUDED IN NEXT.
In the midst of the mountainous boundary
The speck of thy bright shining moon
Thy firmly watching mapple tree
Touching gently wise but wild breeze
Those thousand wish flowers at a glance
Thy rays of the moon's gleaming shadow
She saw such beauty in eternal peace
She took steps wrapped in the clouds
In the dwelling midnight; ah her thoughts
VISIT-I
On taking leave
Nafisa gave
A Chinar leaf.
Chart of tears
Glowed in it.
Mist nestled trees.
Stars melted
In Jhelum.
Bluish hearts
Flew over as moths.
VISIT-II
Curfew torn streets
Speeding army trucks.
Election posters
Plastered wounds.
Gunned down twilight
Fluttered in the Dal lake.
Alone,at night
To Chasmeshahli.
Haunted in memories
In Gulmarg.
At Khulanmarg
As destitute.
Infront
Hurriedly
A Chinar leaf falls
Glued
In human flesh and blood.
Frightened Jhelum
Flows feverish.
*Jhelum, a river.
“Lost Road to Kashmir”
Tenderness arrives
late sometimes
in the 11th hour
soft cashmere
wrapped like a child
love around your knees
pale roses
tease golden grail
visions
blushing again
in the twilight years
on some kind of mission
birds
become
bees
honeyed wings
sweeten the hallucinatory
messages written from Blue Sky
dreams sting
slept-in again
the sleep-of-sleeps
Great heights reached
Mountains test journeys
speaking in strange tongues
multiple choice conversations
with mysterious
Angels
on a Lost road
to Kashmir
strewn with pale roses
tease golden grail
visions
choirs soft-winged
ring like bells
echoing loud
Roza Bal
Summoned
by dreams
curious messages
Tenderness arrives
late sometimes
in the 11th hour

to come to him.
And when the Hill stood still,
he was neuer a whit abashed,
but said;
If the Hill will not come to Mahomet,
Mahomet wil go to the hil.”

I picture Kashmir through lightened KL. I see Kashmir through deserted eyes.
I am writing an elegy. While my Kashmir burns.
My blood has contents of a coward.
What results my thoughts will forward.
Tears have dried. Heart has cried.
My pen drops dead. Its enough, there is nothing to hide.
It’s his anniversary again. I forgot this day again.
I pray for his soul. While my Kashmir howls.
I can write no more. My pen drops dead.
But mouj Kashir wails:
Bullets won’t stop
Young souls will depart.

Screams, Screeches, groans and wails
Let me tell you Agonies’ tales
And of bullets, bombs and pellet guns
For a person with Heart must know these pains
Here somewhere, kids are blinded; men are jailed
Women are molested; the old are tortured
Lucky, You have a home and a steak to fry
Billions starve and sleep under the frigid Sky
The wild jungles of wars scrambled Humanity
Sighs took over the the throne of sweetest Melody
Deluges of tears washed off the rainbows of joy
Atrocities eager for innocent lives to get destroy
Yet you say the world is beautiful.. ?
That it is benign and bountiful...?
May be yes, for you… as you are at peace!
Come out of your little Palace...
And you will find...
Sky painting itself red...!
Butterflies renouncing their dreams
Birds with trimmed wings
Blood ocean... barren trees... burnt houses...
Teared eyes... and shattered bodies….
People live their lives in fear everywhere
Along Syria, Yemen, Palestine and Kashmir
Earth is ugly, jinxed and savage
For humanity sobs, as her soul is damaged

(This was my first poem on soup, reposted it with some changes)
Here lies...
the heaven
on earth,
whose beauty
exotic, admires
its worth
where wind
blows with a
mild agility,
compassionate
to feel your
inner beauty
endowed with
distinct favors
...so lavish,
forever I
lie on your
knees, I wish
Azadi bleeds from every razored lip
And then dries up near the throat. The call for prayers is not heard
Fear of death deserts mosques.
It’s the land where death has proven inability of faith.
I see one of those Maisuma boys. Which were taken under the blanket of night.
His face was burnt but I could recognize his voice.
“Don’t tell my mother I have died. No Jinazah for me, as I am in shattered pieces.
Tell my brother to stay inside. A red dot on his forehead might protect his pride.
Tell my sister to be brave. Grooms visit unexpected wearing garlands of guns.
Tell them not my blood has turned into red rubies. Valueless
Worth no cost.”
My memory runs through its history. I taken back to khansaib-bun
I still have memoirs of that sight. My uncle. An advocate is shot.
Dragged and ragged. His bravery is raped. Now lying in the mud.
A big roar fills my ears. I wake up. It’s my alarm clock.
It’s raining in here. It’s bleeding there.
I sip warm ginger tea.
And my Kashmir burns.
Kashmir a heaven on earth
So said those nerds
Gardens full of land mines
Where the fire flower blooms
Crystal clear waters
Full of human debris
Kashmir a heaven on earth
Said one and all
The frozen Dal lake
A view to behold
Full with wood chunks
And leaking petrol
Kashmir a heaven on earth
Said the teachers in school
The clear air
With stench of rotting food
Empty open spaces
Full of decorative tourists
Oh yes definitely a heaven on earth
To whom shall I write my letters
To whom shall I read my poems
To whom shall I speak my thoughts
The mountains mere the graves
The valleys all in violence
The streets all in silence
The words all in waters
The dreams all in blood
The graves all in flood
#Kashmir
Raising the slogans won't make it any better.
Dare to accept the truth,
All lives matter.
Does that sound better,
Islam is the way out,
Quran is the light out.
Read it I promise you will later have no doubt,
As from it I have learned
All lives matter.
Precious Jewel of the North,
Here's your General who stands tall,
I am your Leader, a poet to all,
Free Thou Self, Listen to Crucem's Call!
Your Pains I feel and feel it well,
My People My People, your'll are tasting Hell,
The Justice of God lies upon you,
To mould you, the truth be true,
You are Muslim and I am Catholic,
'Universal' does it mean, but so much differences is seen,
Give your General a chance,
That one day in the presence of the True God you may rejoice and dance
I long for your freedom, to set you free,
I am that Large Tree,
Where many birds will nest,
My heart too is put to the test
Do not worry, I am with you,
Says the Lord of Hosts,
No evil shall prevail, all's but ghosts,
In the past shall they lay, look towards God's Kingdom that come soon a'day,
You fight against the flesh,
But I say against the spirit too,
Refresh your hearts in your Leader, this is true.
Give me a chance to love you.
And you shall witness a miracle's birth,
O People of the One true God, A new nation shall be born on earth,
If thou love me, give me a bride,
From your tribe, lower your pride!
Hold back not your hearts today,
Wait for me to sing and slay,
All your enemies both flesh and wind,
I cry out to all who have truly sinned,
Then the Sun shall rise,
No more tears to shed,
My Vocation to your'll is over, it is bled,
And your hearts renewed by the One who you hate,
For he was 'El-Roi', the Multiplier of your people and your fate
To Hagar He came,
Her broken heart he did tame,
With words of love and support he thou said,
I will multiple 'his' descendants like the Stars,
We now see them grow hour by hours!
One day you my Kashmir will turn to God,
His heart then healed, O my Lord,
For now as his Chosen one, I feel his pain,
I will never let his cries to me, go in vain.
My Loving people of Kashmir,
Give this Man all that you are,
This Eurasian Captain-General who's traversed afar,
To Stand with you during this hour,
To die for you, if need it be.
I love you so much my beautiful Jewel,
My beautiful Jewel, O' So Blue.
My Kashmir!
Dedicated to you My Loving Angel!
No matter how 'Impossible' it may seem,
I will never give you up, I will achieve this dream.
I Love you My angel.
