Jinxed

Screams, Screeches, groans and wails
Let me tell you Agonies’ tales

And of bullets, bombs and pellet guns
For a person with Heart must know these pains

Here somewhere, kids are blinded; men are jailed
Women are molested; the old are tortured

Lucky, You have a home and a steak to fry
Billions starve and sleep under the frigid Sky

The wild jungles of wars scrambled Humanity
Sighs took over the the throne of sweetest Melody

Deluges of tears washed off the rainbows of joy
Atrocities eager for innocent lives to get destroy

Yet you say the world is beautiful.. ?
That it is benign and bountiful...?

May be yes, for you… as you are at peace!
Come out of your little Palace...

And you will find...
Sky painting itself red...!

Butterflies renouncing their dreams
Birds with trimmed wings

Blood ocean... barren trees... burnt houses...
Teared eyes... and shattered bodies….

People live their lives in fear everywhere
Along Syria, Yemen, Palestine and Kashmir

Earth is ugly, jinxed and savage
For humanity sobs, as her soul is damaged

Absolutely true! Feeling the hurt.. the pain of agony.. the suffering of Humanity is not as deep and as genuine as living it, tasting its bloody wounds, going through the horror and devastation of the bombs and guns! You have all the credit as a poet to raise awareness and raise the voice of poetry to shed light on worlds that know no peace.. thank you so much, Paghunda, for sharing your wonderful poetry! Best regards and blessings.

Splendid write, Paghunda! You have accurately portrayed the world as it seems today. Thank you for your kind comments re I Lift My Eyes and yes the smoke was very heavy for about a week but is beginning to clear up. Stay safe and best to you as you continue your poetical journey - Bob

There is chilling directness in this poem. I commend you for saying what needs to be said and for doing it with poetic skill and beauty. Life on this planet is rarely peaches and cream. You make that point with stunning clarity. Thank you.

Sadly those in power do not care... Each fight is seen differently through different eyes.... One mans freedom fighter is another man's terrorist and vice versa.... Powerful words of truth... Nice to see you back

Thank you! Yes you are absolutely right. Freedom fighter to one, terrorist to another, but if we stay neutral, we can see who are facing authorities, who are weak, who are being tortured and even killed, and who are in power and control.

Well done. An honest brave write, Paghunda. " humanity sobs, do you hear? In Palestine, Syria, Yemen and Kashmir" - they have my prayers now

Thanks Caren. We have been ignoring these things for decades. We either do not know or we ignore them out of fear that such news will make us depressed or will ruin our day... And I always wonder how come we ignore people like us who are out there living on our planet and suffering so badly. My heart cries when I watch their videos and interviews.... May God bless us all with mercy... Amen
