Best Joking Poems

Premium Member Laughter Is the Best Medicine

I know a creative soul named Jan
She births laughter - it’s surely her plan
Giggles must shadow her
Her wit creates a stir
She’s funnier than most any man

Premium Member Joking

Jollity lifts spirits.
		Joshing’s great. Let’s hear it!
		Jocose friends who, with wit,
jazz things up are a hit!
		Jabs can be unnerving;
		jibes can be self-serving.
		Jesting must be gentle.

Serious About Being Serious

You look so serious
when I am not.
Why do I joke
while you do not?
Do we dislike each other?
If so, why do we share a table
and are able to sit,
have done for so long?
Yes, you seem so serious but
are masking a smile?
Are you so jolly but
concealing it,
looking so serious?
Or are you grave and solemn -
seriously serious -
while I try to joke?

Her husband sought to love her, soft and gentle
Even though her thoughts were completely mental

no Joking

The Zionists are choking
the life out of humanity
history is repeating
total insanity
from the sea to the river
Palestine
will be forever
no matter how many bombs
on your knees you kiss

Premium Member This Doesn'T Smell Like Roses

When I let one loose in the elevator
I felt my face blushing a deep red
Never been embarrassed any greater
It wasn’t long until the smell spread

People closest to me ran for cover
In the corners where they held their noses
It would take a while for them to recover
They knew for sure I didn’t smell like roses

'you will live to be...
one hundred years...and three months'...
said seer groucho marx...

(and why the three months...
your wide eyes ask so brightly...
so no sudden death...)

Premium Member Just Joking Said a Star

You are all from a different galaxy sneered the moon.
I was not surprised, always suspecting I am a Martian.
But not Mars! He said, rolling his snake eyes at me.
I was intrigued, as he has never done that before.
Just joking, said a voice to my left. It was a star.

I wondered which planet I was from.
I do not get along with these weirdos here.
They are lunatics, their thinking absurd and unjustified.
Neptune? Jupiter? Saturn? I tried to open my brain.
Just kidding said the moon. Then he laughed.

Typical day for me; surrounded by idiots
Not only on the earth, but above the earth.
I’m not sure which planet I hail from
But I would like to go back as soon as possible.
This one no longer holds my interest.

Couplet

There are jokes,
concerning grandiloquentancy.

Premium Member Jesting Joking Jovial and Jolly

Jesting without manifesting
Joking without spending or investing
Jovial and fair
Jolly times in the air
Living as I dare
Showing that I care

Words delight me, incite me,
Inspire and light me
Jesting, joking, jovial, and jolly
hickery dickery, dolly and holly
Jumping, twirling and swirling in my brain
If this were a song, I’d think up a refrain

Premium Member One In a Million

The chance of falling in love
Maybe one in a million
To choose and to embark
On the last flight
Is fate
To stay is fate too
And
As solemn as a flight
Love is no U-turn journey
Love is no sudden-stop journey
The holy bell only ring once
And
Love is no joking after all
