Best Joey Poems
The multiverse
Of his unquiet mind
Screaming for all of us
To be quiet
He needs to put on
A space suit
Assimilating our nuances
So he can
Walk on the surface
Of our emotions
An alien being
Trying to find a way
To fit in
Not attracting attention
To his brilliance
Of communicating
In a sensory way
Logically disertating
A higher plane
To be one
In this vast universe
Traversing with the gods
And understanding their ways
I was passing by Joey at work
I was going on break
Joey was heading back to work
I said" Hi Joey "
He said " I had a nightmare last night "
I said " Ooh. A nightmare. What was it about? "
And here's his rendition of his nightmares:
You know Olaf the snowman from Frozen.
He appeared on side of my bed.
And said I like hugs.
Then he took out a flamethrower
and started me on fire
and said
I like them really warm
Then laughed sadistically
Then my alarm went off
And it was time to go to work
Today was the day Dragon’s brother Joey graduated from Nursing School.
And yes, Dragon wanted to be there, it was, really, going to be Sooo Cool!
Parents and students gussied up in all their finery, a sight truly to behold.
The University never, truly, looked better, as future dreams began to unfold.
And Joey gave Dragon, the best-est thing ever, his very own, special invite.
Now, we all know how things go amok, when Dragon is allowed on the site.
Every-thing was truly prepared, or so they thought, as Dragon sallied forth.
His own fire retardant Cap, Gown, and tassel to be immortalized, henceforth.
He was a part of the ceremony, to light their candles, in a symbolic gesture…
Before to the world, they, go forth, Why Dragon? Cause he’s such a treasure.
Yes, He’d receive an Honorary Degree, for all the lives, from fires, he’d saved.
Grandpa Troll was on the College Board of Directors, we were all amazed!
Apparently, Grandpa Troll had donated, a burn ward to the local Hospital…
Where our son Joey, would work, jump-starting his career, just a wee, little.
All the people Dragon had saved from fires, would be there to sing their praise.
As Joey wanted to dedicate his Nursing Career to burn patients, all his days.
It’s amazing how lives change, when strangers, are first allowed, into our lives.
And the Carpenter Trolls signed up for College, Architecture, was their drive.
Such determination, from a little Dragon egg, that was brought into our lives.
It brought so much purpose, to so many, when he chose, one morning to arrive.
Dragon roared out his glee and fire, sigh, as a surprise degree, was given to him!
All agreed no one needed the curtains, podium, or stage, as all sang, their hymn!
Hundreds of ready fire extinguishers, came into view, a new tradition was formed.
3 new degrees, came to the College curriculum, as thankfully, no one was harmed.
What three new degrees were added, you ask? Fire fighting, Burn Units Nursing,
Plus a Psychology Degree of “what change can do for your lives, if you let it in”.
Yeah, we’re all nuts! But very innovative, as our son, suggested, the new degrees.
Then he and Dragon led the hat toss, before leading all, out the door, to be free…

You never changed, the love you'd bring,
To home or center stage
Your music flowed and the afterglow,
Still brightens up our days
Sweet child of His, you will be missed
But in our hearts... we know
You now sing for your great King
You always loved Him so

Happy Birthday Joey
I hope this will get to my wife
Your gone but never from my life
A birthday poem to you my dear
I wish you will always be near
Just a few words I want to say
I love you so much only everyday
I will send you a message on a balloon
Watch for it, look towards the moon
One day you will come for me
Until then happy birthday Joey
Joey Contemplating a Skeleton
By Elton Camp
The teacher told Joey to learn each bone by name
And that there were only about 206 of the same
The parietal, temporal and occipital are in the head
At least that’s what the biology teacher then said
The atlas and axis are two bones found in the neck
Twelve vertebrae are attached to ribs if you check
Lumbar, sacrum and their parts learn without fail
And don’t forget the coccyx that looks like a tail
Of the maxillae and mandible the jaws are made
Collar bone is the clavicle; scapula shoulder blade
Humerus in upper arm, ulna below, radius thumb side
And in wrist and hand carpals & metacarpals reside
Phalanges are found in both the fingers and the toes
The femur, patella, tibia and fibula in the leg goes
But this is only a small sample of what Joey must learn
If an excellent grade in his biology class he will earn
my buddy John's Bertram a wood antique
I fixed the engines while he varnish teak
so there we were Joe, John, and Kelly
with a cooler packed with bait so smelly
early in the morning waz headin out the creek
big blue marlin we'ze goin to seek
40 miles past the thirty fathom curve
dropping lines for the bait we serve
John watched the lines Kinda like a cop
we had two on the bottom and 4 on top
did everything me'z could do with me'z fishin power
then John grabbed the hook up on the 3rd hour
all of a sudden it looked like a good day
when the Blue jumped we said "marlin on the way!"
the fish was pulling, screeming out line
"hurry! get John in the harness on time!"
"oh man! the stories we'll tell on the way"
"only if you get that fish in today!"
myself, Joey and Kelly, we placed our bet
while John was cranking,"I'm covered in sweat!"
there we were just having a laugh
as Joe leened over 1 hand on the gaff
the marlin came up threw Joe's chest with it's spear
then the line popped and they both....dis..apeared
.......................
we tried hard to find our friend in trouble
...............................
looking a long time without even a bubble

.."why didn't I grab Joe! I'm just a Fool"
we didn't go home, till low on fuel
it was hard to tell Joes wife about the fack
that Davey Jones took em and won't give him back

lovey dovey poem but a gut bustin laugh of my the exwives and
all of my sailboats that I ran away from them on. to be posted
monday morning for your enjoyment! Capt. Mike!
Well, then hit me with your best shot ?
Truth is we're just a breath away from this
Your gray grim day, part two: summon the kings
Tis urgent hurry please bring me my ancient armour
That their pagans can pray as consecrate an age's final fate
Elijah, crossing time beckoning fire and flames paving, Love's day....
Stand tall go proud, Freddie Kruger: You see all this glory it's, kingdoms: Remember,
....Dreamscape's, nighttide nightmare.
Flashing unto myself a photo advertising, his bates motel
Peering inside these eyes thinking, no, not the entire kingdom
Of hell shall escape what is coming, their way ? So save your breath....
Tell them Belial, exactly what you do know: perhaps they shall escape a fateful day.
Happy Valentine’s Day Joey
February fourteen twenty eleven
To my wife who’s in heaven
Saying I love you which you already know
A few other ways that I can show
I will be sending a message balloon your way
Love and kisses are a few words to say
I will light a candle for you dear
Another way to show you I still care
You do know how much you are missed
You were the first love I kissed
I miss you my love so very much
In my dreams I hope to feel your touch
Signed with love from me
Happy Valentine’s Day Joey
I know it's early, but.
A Joey was spotted in wonderland
shaking hands with the invisible man
while "knees" just cackled and snorted
as the border was aborted
the Easter bunny took total command
Frozen eyes gazing towards her sky
Green body bags their establishment's
Contribution to this darker shade in gray
You as yours thought she was an endless day ?
That wicked's evil generation could somehow someway
Perpetually carry on these blood dreanched banners swaying
While taunting till time's what but, I have beheld your best shot yes
Apocalyptic passages a glimpse this omen the beginning theirs and think not
Love shall fail to crash then burn his piper's fortified walls: no galaxy high enough
Nor cavern aneath her sea your bunker deep enough; for disarray's kings of nothing nay
Except, this rusting clock spelling tears the end in sin twas yours: My Spirit, rushing tides His mountain.
As little Joey looked up into his mommas face,
He said momma don’t cry as he held her hand in such a loving embrace.
He said angels have been coming and talking with me,
And telling me about where I’m going I wished you could see.
He told me I wouldn’t hurt anymore and that I was nearly ready to go with him,
He told me his name but I couldn’t say it, I just call him angel Jim.
He’s tall and he’s handsome and he dresses in white,
He said he was my guardian angel and he’s here to help me battle this fight.
He said for you not to worry that I would soon be okay,
That I should be in paradise before the end of this day.
He said to tell you that it would be just a twinkle of the eye then we would be together
again,
And we would both be happy for this is where life really begins.
As little Joey closed his eyes and started breathing real hard,
Still holding on to his mommas hand as she was praying to the Lord.
And a soft peace came over little Joeys face as he drew his last breath
And his momma knew he simply went home and there was no sting as little Joey met death.

The Pink Joey or Dwarf Pink Kangaroo Paw
when cataloged made botanists quiver.
For it's a rare native Australian plant
first found along the Margaret River.
A clumping evergreen, it loves the sun
however, it’s content to stay quite small.
And unlike the larger Kangaroo Paw
it’s a perennial that don’t grow tall.
It bristles with copious strap-shaped leaves
flaunting flowers with downy-soft pink hairs.
And its subtle scent attracts butterflies
sipping on the nectar each blossom shares.
Its velvet blooms form small kangaroo paws
each a delightful down under treasure.
And displayed in their natural setting
they bring the observer so much pleasure.
