The Double Secret

"The Double Secret"

I am skin and bone
wrapped tightly around
an immaculate heart that’s hidden
but known to a fierce soul

Human daughter, sprinkled with holy water

Wherever there is Love
Inside you, there is the Light
to guide Love Home
a lost journey through Dante’s Hell now gone

Prison walls dissolve, He walks towards her

and says,

"Wherever there is Love
Inside you,
there is the Light
to guide Love Home"

Freedom is the token, Petronilla calls Home

There the Light shines, it’s
Always on
Heaven’s Gate burns bright
inside your soul

The Unforgiven, sees for once he has the light

I am skin and bone
wrapped tightly around
an immaculate heart that’s hidden
but known to a fierce soul

The Double Secret unfolds

“Extraordinary things are always hiding in places people never think to look.”

“There's always going to be bad stuff out there. But here's the amazing thing -- light trumps darkness, every time. You stick a candle into the dark, but you can't stick the dark into the light.”

“If you spent your life concentrating on what everyone else thought of you, would you forget who you really were? What if the face you showed the world turned out to be a mask... with nothing beneath it?”

“Love is not an equation, it is not a contract, and it is not a happy ending. Love is the slate under the chalk, the ground that buildings rise, and the oxygen in the air. It is the place you come back to, no matter where you're headed”
(Jodi Picoult)

Obsessed it seemed with a dream
A mind could slip and slither
Where passions rage and sin is
played
Two liars settle their bitters
The church the jerk that wouldn't
work
Made a lie by sinners
In the game called real life
Where there could never be real
winners
Crime of passion is biblical fashion
You cannot confuse the spirit.
I couldn't convict her of the murder
Not today or ever
But for the lying she needs time
For not letting the truth defend her
Why they got her and not the other
girl
Is exactly what's wrong with the
system

Jodi Revised

Please read about the poem ~

How can I express my sadness as I turn on CNN .
For the man who was suffering as he left so beautiful inside

taken so handsome and young , by the Sin of Pride .

His Family now weeps for a very long time ,
he has become all our true loves in mind.

For he a Charismatic man , intelligent,
well spoken , a man so hard to find .

What has our World come to
What drives one to insanity,
 to take another so Horrifically~

The Truth does not Lie Jodi ,
for you holds no Glory .

The Truth in rejection so sad to face,
willing to give away everything at all cost..

No matter how much she Loved him ,
In capable of love through possession ,

There is a lesson through the worst pain .
Through incapable love lies , betrayal .

You have taken another that was not yours to take ,
You have caused great sorrow and pain
Your love of self in Vain ~

Giving her freedom through the spirit "Death "
will not make the sad better .
In justice , is a mirror and cell for eternity .

In my heart everyone deserves Redemption ,
leaving this writing only the title of her name
many would like you to suffer this life and the next .

In respect of the Man who has left , I believe he would forgive her
refusing to punish by Death .

Expression of Love

"Love is the fingerprint of the soul."
~ Jodi Livon ~

Art is an expression of Love.
~ Russell G ~

Our soul wants to sing.
Songs that are not of this nature.
They are fluent in dreams,
And we call them expressions.

In the books, in the art,
In the dance, in the music,
In a thousand ways,
We express those illusions.

We can not comprehend,
We can not quite get them.
We wage wars, we make peace
For the same loving reasons.

We not Gods, so don't try
To put any on paper.
This where logic will die
But an artist wakes nations.

We can only absorb.
We can sense but not touch it.
On a physical side
Soul has gift to unwrap it.

While you're "here" don't waste time.
From an artist to baker
Act, express all your love
To understand our "maker".

"A new relationship is like a seed that we plant and nurture ~
it grows into something beautiful and everlasting."
                                                              ~ Jodi Picoult

When the veins of indigo thoughts in my broken heart
were gently touched by the golden glow within your soul
we blended together in a splendid hue of luminous sheen.

Upon love's palette, we are a soft shade of verdant green
awash in a crimson rouge of blush when I first felt the rush
of romance ignite my senses on our first night together.

So, I'll write what's in my heart, and the verse would start
with white rose petals of rhymes about the many times
I felt blue, wishing you'd recognized what was in my eyes.
Now, they shine with love brighter than amber rays of the sun.

Prairie Princess Song For Jodi

God has made us, one and all.
But some seem to answer a special call.
Angels to bring us peace and joy.
Who bring smiles to the faces of every little girl and boy.

Fate is a fickle friend.
Theres no telling what it will bring us in the end.
I belive theres a reason for everything that comes.
Why some become kings and others become bums.

Thats my only solace when I think of this wrong.
It's the very reason for the dedication of this song.
Jodi is an angel, tried and true.
And now someone has taken her from me and you.

Left to carry on without her on our own.
Like paupers paying on an ill fated loan.
She'll be forever kept within my heart.
Whether or not she ever comes back to or not.
I know she'll be there to help us make a brand new start.

This worlds a better place for her being here.
But with one swift act we are left to wonder and to fear.
Leaves us asking, do we even want to know.
Or just remember her in the essence of her glow.

I miss you Jodi.
I know God is with you.

Note: This was written shortly after Jodi's abduction. That's Jodi Husentruit that is. She was from Long Prairie, MN, hence the prairie princess. She was the news anchor in Mason City, IA who in 1995 was abducted, the case is still unsolved.

Engagement

Pink in dress with golden flakes.
Pink in shirt with blue suit.
Glowing eyes deep in lakes,
Building something strong in root.

It takes two souls to exchange rings,
Binding the two together.
Not as detention or tying of wings
But as mutual growth of feather.

"Relationships are made in heaven
Humans bring it to reality."
The stories and poems we've always woven.
Some come in love, rest arranged by faculty.

But only a few make it to the divinity,
The ones who don't look in the eyes,
They don't bring or come for affinity
They happen in bounds where heaven lies.

Mars is red out of blushing
For these rare couples exist.
Here's this poem for the stars of the evening,
Who were born with love in their fist.

Let's bring forth our hands
For applauding the incarnation of this ivy.
Dropping from the heavenly lands
The unbreakable jodi of Gautam and Geetanjali.

Day of the Dead

Marilyn and Mom and Dad,
Uncle Aaron, Larry;
Helen, Irv, Frank, Jodi, Ruth,
Miriam and Harry.

Elaine, Barbara, Ann and May,
Muriel and Julie;
Nana, Grandma, Grandpas (2),
Rick – we miss them truly.

Folks and cousins of my friends,
Several former teachers;
Pets of buddies – dogs and cats
And some exotic creatures.

Many others in the news
Without a close connection
And all the rest who passed away –
Today’s for recollection.

We do not need a holiday
To think of those who’ve perished
But Día de los Muertos honors
All the dead we cherished.

Jodi Drowned Me

I went out to the swimming pool in the backyard
quickly and quietly I started to undress down to my underwear
Standing near the edge of the pool,my eyes looked down to see
SUDDENLY-I WAS PUSHED!! and I went into the water, head first
Everyone in my family knows that I cannot possibly swim
As well as my Friends
Neighbors
and assorted shut-ins
Except there is one person who wanted to do me harm
because I couldn't get the nerve to ask her out for a date

JODI,
WHY DID YOU DROWN ME?

I was too shy and within myself to VoiceMail my invitation to the Senior Dance
But,alas..that was a lifetime ago(20 years this March to be more precise)
As my body sinks further to the bottom of the pool, my brain recollects only briefly,
the fun things we had used to do in school:

Skipping rope
Playing Tag
Hide & seek
Counting the Stars on the American Flag

The pain that my body feels from the drowning is fading
and the tired eyelids are beginning to shut
The life force that God hath given me is dissipating
I cannot shout for a breath
It is time for me to DIE forever and take the comfort

ETERNAL REST!!

Premium Member Le Landemen Apre Fet Sen Valenten

Se te yè dimanch
Jou fèt Sen Valanten
Nou wè kap pase anpil fanm chik ki gen
Ranch anfòm, yo abiye an woz e wouj
Kote anpil anmourez kap mache men nan la men
Menm jan ak aktè sou enfrawouj
Yo tap souri ak ri anpil. Kòm si yo tap pati
Yo pran direksyon pou yal patisipe nan yon bèl seans nan paradi
Manman Lanati te an woz e wouj tou, kalm e an lapè.

P.S. Pou site pwovèb ayisyen sa: 'Aprè bal tanbou lou'.

Down Blueberry Mountain

Jodi felt the wind puff up her skirt
And float her down the hill, gently
Placing her upon a giant
Mushroom, waiting for just such
A breeze. Aloft, the spores fly
Everywhere, planting themselves,
Preparing for a future takeover
Of the world, once they too
Have grown. Jodi hopped off
The cap and ran through the
Celery fields hoping to find
someone to tie her shoe,
But no one was there. They
Had all gone vegetarian, eating
Their way through the mushroom
Forest, trying to find dip.
They instead found butter
Which is just what Jodi
Needed to finish her
Muffins up on the mountain.

Premium Member On Interstate 5 In A Greyhound Bus

On Interstate 5 In A Greyhound Bus

mother pauline boards the big greyhound double decker
her freckled son goes before her wearing a cub scout cap
hurry up she says as they climb the stairs to the upper deck
the bus driver tips his cap and starts the greyhound engine
mother pauline tells the little boy they are going to redding
she gives him a batman comic book and a box of milk duds

nighttime is coming as stout pauline flips on the ceiling lamp
euthanizing elevator music seeps from an overhead speaker
jodi sands sings ‘kiss by kiss’ as the bus driver grips the wheel
the double decker dashes down alameda with taillights on fire
flashing by foggy neon cocktail dives drinking in the darkness
rushing now on life’s dream highway like an insane eel dancing

now rushing at 65 mph they ride on interstate 5’s scarred back
freckled boy tiredly yawns and lies upon the soft lap of pauline
tired mother peers out the window and sees the fast blur of life
she focuses her sight and sees her mountain of love sleeping
an hour of fast driving leads to closed eyes and driveling yawns
old men snore in the back as erect streetlights pass by unseen
mother pauline thinks of husband fred back home being alone
she wonders if fred misses her as much as she now misses him
wonders if he’s snoring in bed right now as loud as the old men

soon she will be in redding to find a house and to scout the town
soon the sun will rise when the yuba street bus depot is reached
freckled boy continues to sleep and dream in pauline’s soft lap
the greyhound speeds up interstate 5 like an insane eel dancing

Comparisons - Prose Poem

Jodie Foster is frying peppers and eggs ~ it is late and her legs ache
as she scrambles the yokes, sautés jalapenos.
Today a jerk again compared her to the movie star ~a life she
never wanted keeps invading her reality, even though she was
born earlier, people consider her the fraud; the fake, the
'knock-off.'

Not for the first time she imagines changing her name, but always
there is a fear of not being compared to anything at all.

There is a loud noise upstairs. She freezes, she recalls
the movie -`Panic Room.' She runs to her downstairs closet,
bolting the door behind her. Footsteps descend - it is Jodie Foster
in her role as Agent Starling. Jodie has a gun and is seeking
her rapist from a previous movie.

Scripts are merging. The Jodi who cooks peppers and eggs
understands why she has always avoided cliffhangers - suspense
thrillers. She cries softly in the dark as she clutches
a Dollar Store spatula, a utensil that will never work
as well as a weapon, than a real branded one.
