Best Jerker Poems

I wish I had the video
of all your mental pictures
so I could see what that night
looked like, where he
touched you and why
you let him in…
I want to watch the whole
damn thing, shades drawn,
sitting on the couch
with only a box of Kleenex –
I heard the ending
is a real tear-jerker.

Knowing me, I’d watch it
over and over
and pause
at the
exact
moment
you said yes,
trying to read
the eyes that now
tell
me
nothing.

TEAR JERKER

when he wouldn’t eat
i knew something was wrong
and those helpless eyes
as though he wanted to tell me
he needed help but no voice

when i met those eyes
something old as creation
communication
burned across primordial fires
transcending species    gender

“though I love you    friend
though I know that you love me
it is time to leave
talk very kindly to me
whispering    patting my head”
…………………………………………..
This in remembering all our animal friends that have gone over the last nearly 60 years

Ghost town after dark;

Blank myth created
To express a fond wish;
Merlion antiquity

Old neighbour nods
Smiles in recognition;
Civilised exchange

Sing-song Good Morning
Little boy entertains;
Proud parent smiles approval

New journal pages
Awaiting sanguine soliloquy;
Expansive permutations

Words on a page
Taut revelations;
Insider trading conspires

Psalm of morning hues
Sunburst meditation;

Evening sitcom moments
Scripted melodrama;
Favourite dinner fare

Poignant sad story
Tear-jerker streaking away;
Pending reconciliation

Uncomfortable stress

Style a fond smile
Sanguine as usual;
Clash of surprise

Excuse My Words of Torture

V.1:
I’m sick of hearing your lies –
I pull away from the abyss
Rejecting departure at the process
Rue bounces out of my eyes –
Trapped in my emotional mess
Deliver the introverted boy from his cruel solitude and shed him hope in mind
My heart is broken into two & you’re not a part of my crew…
I was held down by me, the grief-stricken tear-jerker and my tears made me
blind
My rue never departed from me if you only knew…I loved you…
Now, I loathe your actions – I dislike you . . .
You’re not a part of His crew or my crew because you don’t know what I’ve
been through,
Being with you and all made me feel blue

CHORUS:
I will squander my time now and forever
(Are you an evil, fallen angel?)
Until I meet you eye to eye again
Our departure came to soon…our future’s a blur
(sarcasm: Oh you must be a sweet, beautiful angel –)
Come on & get out of the lion’s den!
Release me…I need to let go…
Believe in me…reflect on me…
Release me…let me go with the flow
Let me grow and see…the light at the end of the tunnel
There’s other fish in the sea…

V.2:
Now, I loathe your actions – I dislike you . . .
You’re not a part of His crew or my crew because you don’t know what I’ve
been through,
Being with you and all made me feel blue
I’m sorry…I apologize…
Excuse my horrid anger…
I’m acting so immature
Excuse my sadness… (how time flies…as my High Spirit dies)
Excuse my words of torture…
I’ll try to act mature
I’m insane – can’t you see the madness (in my eyes)?
I know it’s cruel to hate…
But, I feel so regret
You made me be in a sad state
I paid the price of your emotional debt
Can I have something in return?
Don’t let me burn . . .

Wet morning
Misty tear-jerker;
Dark skyline contours

~~~~~~~~~
Beyond this bridge
A new town;
People escalate
~~~~~~~~~

Cold and wet
Dreary morning sky;
Rain re-decorates

~~~~~~~~~
Espresso dawn
Tired eyes split open;
Caffeine surge
~~~~~~~~~

Work on words
Verbal collage;
Emergent light

~~~~~~~~~
Poise renders voice
Style happy smile;
Make moments count
~~~~~~~~~

Dreary dream drains
Play puzzle plain;
Grief gathers gain

~~~~~~~~~
Thought greets feeling:
See beyond sight;
Wise words work well
~~~~~~~~~

Feel sure miracle
Live sure purpose;
Glimpse fond sights

~~~~~~~~~
Blast of cold air
Sudden spine shivers;
Rain drenching
~~~~~~~~~

Feel stillness here:
Come to know truth;
Only love endures

Ardhanarishwar

Male macho am I
With bulging biceps and the rest
Stern indeed is my mien.

I take control
My every move I plan
Hate sissies, I do!

Yet give me a tear-jerker
And I'll jerk them out
In copious streams!

But Macho am I
None can dare see me cry,
Reduced to Maudlin mush!

Give me a sob story
Chocolate melt is my heart
Macho is mucho gone!

Body sports, guts and grit
Is all very fine
But anyone game for a bit of bitching?

Metro, Hetro, Alpha and the rest
All words erased
With the pouf of purfume/scent!

ARDHANARISHWAR!

Capital Sin

A Capital Sin

There always seems to be some tear jerker

About you not being a miracle worker

Even after how hard you tried and tried

They continually have cried and cried.

With great attitude and pleasant disposition

How could you ever end up in a precarious position;

If they really had been in their right mind

Only peace and tranquility would they find.

With your pleasant smiles and awesome appearance

All of these are needed additional insurance

Which are there to welcome us back again

To condemn dentist or staff is considered a capital sin.

Wrote this after I read a negative comment
about my dentist and all of his staff.

Harry and Meghan each yearn to be seen
As pillars of U.S. community
So publicly private, this faux King and Queen
Bespoil the royals with impunity

Harry said, “Hey, there’s a newspaper guy,
So fetch the kids up from the dungeon.
I’ll make sure he brings his photographer by
While you go and peel a large onion.”

The journalist sat just as Meghan came in
He said, “We should start talking soon.”
She said (once she’d practiced her quivering chin)
“Remember that you play our tune.”

“So listen,” said Meghan, “this tear on my cheek,
Will show up quite well with the light to one side.
This photo could well be your shot of the week,
If I rub my eyes sore like I’ve cried.

“Please put in your paper we won’t milk our names,
Our royal connections we’ve hurled.
We intend to fashion our own brand of fame,
As Princess and Prince of the world!”

Premium Member Holding Back Tears

Breathe deeply
Drink cold water
Squeeze a stress ball
Tense up your muscles
That's easy enough if I don't want tears.

Tilt your head back
Imagine your happy place
Step away from the situation
Watch and listen to something funny
So far, stopping tears seems to be a doable task.

The above are 8 out of 13 tips given by a web site*.
Granted, if one wanted to take such tips, it would
be easy enough. But would it be advisable to
'hold back tears' intentionally ? I suspect if there
were 'dam breaking tears', that would be another
matter. However, tears are where they are for a reason,
and I suspect that it is a very healthy exercise to allow
them to escape once in a while.

Nevertheless, I am most intrigued by tip number 7, 'Step away
from the situation'. In my case, I would be inclined to step away
before the build-up begins. For example, I do not like 'tear-jerker'
movies. So, where possible, I avoid them. Just listen to me. I'm saying
that tears are a healthy and wholesome outlet. But yet, under certain
circumstances, I seek to avoid them. Is that a contradiction or what? Maybe, perhaps, possibly, probably. I suspect it is. But that's just me.

Trump An Emmisary Or a Missionary

Trump an Emmisary Or a Missionary

Can you imagine Trump  being an emmisary;
Maybe a maniac who had been a missionary;
Sewer worker;
Soda jerker;
Whatever he was would really seem so scary.
