TEAR JERKER

when he wouldn’t eat
i knew something was wrong
and those helpless eyes
as though he wanted to tell me
he needed help but no voice

when i met those eyes
something old as creation
communication
burned across primordial fires
transcending species gender

“though I love you friend
though I know that you love me
it is time to leave
talk very kindly to me
whispering patting my head”
…………………………………………..
This in remembering all our animal friends that have gone over the last nearly 60 years

Premium Member Canadian Geese

I love the sound of the honking geese,
Though I think they get turned around
Because for several days in a row
I hear their honking sound.

So if they were really headed south
I would hear them only one time
And not over and over as fall settles in.
Perhaps their lead goose is blind.

Perhaps they are honking at the wind,
Telling it not to push so hard.
Maybe that's why it takes them days to leave,
The wind turns them, catches them off guard.

The honking of geese is a wonderful sound
And it's telling me winter is near.
I love to watch them fly in formation
As they wing their way out of here.

Cat and His Mother

Laying there, was not all he
did,

sleeping alone, was not all he
did,

dreaming of his young self, was
not all he did,

crying for you, was not all he
did,

staring into space, was not all
he did,

wanting your love and
attention, was not all he did,

purring in your arms, was not
all he did,

making you worry, was not all
he did,

having a lions heart, was not all
he did,

imprinted love in your soul, was
not all he did,

letting you hold him until he
was gone, was not all he did,

leaving fond memories for your
heart, was not all he did,

letting you say good-bye, was
not all he did,

sharing all this and his love
with you,

is what all he ever did.

The Pussy Collector

I just love all the pussies that I meet,
Resting at my doors for me to say hi and greet,
Pussies pussies everywhere I roam and go,
Moving into my personal space and flow.

Do you love the pussies that come your way?
Do they make you feel good every single day?

Paw Prints On My Heart

Each time you look into my eyes
I cry a little as I embrace the soft kisses on my cheek
For you are there from when I wake up until I go to sleep
Watching over me in every possible way
My Fur Face
How I love you are so unconditional and pure
your love won't ever leave
Even when time is cruel and against your side
Your memory is what will help keep you always alive
I take the knowledge you won’t always wag your tail
Some days like humans oh my furry friends you will feel down
You will grow old
Such a short life span with you in my arms
As you lick away the tears
As you reassure my fears
Don't worry furry friends
The cat and dog that enrich my lives
You left nothing when you go
Yet something so attainable that will last for all eternity
Paw Prints on My Heart

Who Am I

I have big brown eyes,
A very long nose,
I love to play,
But I also love to doze.

When you don't give me a treat,
I tend to sigh,
I love to be in a pack,
Who am I?

I'll tell you right now,
I'm not a frog,
Or a goat,
I'm a dog!

Filbert Is So Happy!

Good Morning

Filbert was so happy...
To have a home...
Up on a hill
Under a tree
In a meadow...

The Sun was in Filbert's eyes.....
Oh yes!....It's morning.....
Yipe, Yipe, Yipe!
said Filbert....
I love the morning.....

Filbert got up
and carefully made his bed.
What a wonderful day
to play and play.....

Yipe, Yipe, Yipe!....

It's me Filbert!
Can you come and play with me?
I know all kinds of tricks....
I can fetch
and roll over....
Oh please come and play
with me today!
all you have to do is...

"Jump Up and Down
and Spin around...
spin around....
spin around...
Jump up and down
and Spin around....
And come play with me....
and come play with me"...

I love you,
Said Filbert.....
Yip, Yip, Yip!

These Four Paws

These four paws take me walking down the street
I look up and bark at everyone I meet
These four paws have a mind of their own
They go all over the place but seldom go home
These four paws are a lot of trouble
They always go splashing in a puddle
They are a mischievous set
And love to be wet
My paws, they track mud inside the house
And then my humans get mad and out me out
But no matter what goes on
I’ll love my four paws forever long

Horses

Horses, lots of them.
hey eat a lot.
They poop a lot.
They are very loud,
but we love them anyway,
so much that,
we will name car's speed
after them.
They make us feel on
top of the world when we,
ride them or make us feel like
the world's a blur.
Horses may be horses
but we still love them.

My Cat

A ball of fluff, she plays with stuff.
So cuddly and cute, I love her always.
Sometimes I just want to take her in my arms and never let her go.
Others times I want to hurt her, because she slaps me on my toes.
She loves to play, with her spider toy.
I love playing with her, she's such a joy.
We've had her for about two years.
And when I'm sad, she purrs and tries to dry my tears.
So as you can see, I love my kitty.
Because she's an all American Bearbie
